Australian Barbecue Wars: Blues and Barbecue Festival

Town Beach Park, Port Macquarie

Event information

The Blues and Barbecue Festival is held in Port Macquarie, NSW each year in September. The festival plays host the largest Barbecue competition in Australia, the Buffalo Trace Australian Barbecue Wars. With big prize money on offer, over 100 teams from around the country (and a few internationals as well) will 'smoke it out' for top honours in the Barbecue Pit on the Friday (4pm to 9pm). It's worth turning up just for the mouth watering smell! Free for spectators.

From 11am to 9pm on Saturday grab some melt-of-the-bone goodness from one of the Barbecue Trucks, match it with a craft brew of your choice, and kick back with some live music by the water at Town Green.
