Trackwork

To note: On Sunday 30 September, the Epping to Chatswood rail line will temporarily close for upgrades for around 7 months before Sydney Metro Northwest services begin in 2019. The new high-frequency bus service, Station Link, will replace trains between Epping and Chatswood.

Trackwork is carried out on an ongoing basis to maintain the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the Sydney Trains network. Trackwork may affect how you travel so allow plenty of extra travel time and plan ahead. Check travel alerts and trackwork or use the Trip Planner.

The following Sydney Buses services run to Olympic Park:

  • Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Burwood via Sydney Olympic Park.
  • Route 526 runs from the Sydney Olympic Park Ferry Wharf to Olympic Park.
  • Route X25 runs regularly to Sydney Olympic Park from Strathfield Station during the afternoon peak period on weekdays.

For bus service disruption information check travel alerts or use the Trip Planner.

Sydney Ferries services are very popular and may reach capacity especially on weekends, especially on weekends. Keep this in mind if you’re planning on catching an F3 Parramatta River service.

Plan your trip ahead and allow plenty of extra travel time or consider the alternative public transport options available.

Newington Armory is approximately a 20 minute walk (1.7km) from Sydney Olympic Park Wharf.

Due to low tide, some ferry services to and from Parramatta Wharf may be replaced by buses. See the low tide replacement bus calendar for affected services.

Light rail services run between Central Station and Dulwich Hill with stops at popular CBD and Inner West destinations. Change at Central for connections to Olympic Park. For maps and service frequencies see light rail service information.

Sydney Olympic Park Authority may close some local roads to accommodate increased public transport services and ensure pedestrian safety during events. For road closure details, visit Sydney Olympic Park Authority and check out the interactive map.

A distance-based toll applies on the new M4 between Parramatta and Homebush. For details visit westconnex.com.au/newM4.
