Siding Spring Observatory, Coonabarabran
For one day of the year, Siding Spring Observatory at Coonabarabran opens its telescopes to the public for the chance to take a closer look at the operations of Australia's largest optical telescope site. There will be talks by world famous astronomers, talks designed for children, science displays and activities, solar observing, classic cars display, Taronga Western Plains Zoo exhibition, rockets, food and refreshments.
