Golf: NSW Senior Open Championship

The NSW Senior Open is set to light up Albury this October. The Championship boasts a selection Australia’s golfing legends competing for the NSW Senior Open Trophy in the beautiful Murray region.
The 54 hole tournament offers a minimum prize purse of AUD100,000 and will see elite qualifying amateur golfers aged 50 and over compete in a championship against some of the legends of Australian professional golf, including Peter Senior, Peter O’Malley and many more, at the Thurgoona Country Club Resort. The tournament is a key event on the PGA of Australia’s Legends Tour, with a pro-am and then three rounds of golf to crown the champion.
Entry for spectators is free, you then have the opportunity to walk the fairways following your favourite players.
The Melbourne XPT runs between Melbourne and Sydney twice daily, in the morning and at night, on the Southern line and stops at Albury. There are a number of bus and taxi services operating within the Albury area.
