Important event information

Sydney Olympic Park will be busy on Friday night as music fans will be travelling to the precinct at the same time for a concert at neighbouring Qudos Bank Arena. If you are planning on driving, allow additional travel time during evening peak.

Opal

You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including trains, buses, ferries and light rail. There is also a Travel Cap of $2.70 on Sundays.

More ways to pay

If you have an American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card which displays the contactless payment symbol, or linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and off at Opal card readers on trains, light rail and Sydney Ferries. Keep in mind if you’re travelling by bus you still need to use an Opal card. Standard (peak) Adult Opal fare pricing applies. If you consistently use the same contactless card or linked device to tap on and tap off, you may qualify for Opal daily, weekly and Sunday fare caps but no other Opal benefits apply.

The closest station to ANZ Stadium is Olympic Park. Catch a train to Lidcombe for a direct service to Olympic Park from Platform Zero running every 10 minutes until midnight.

Additional services will be running to help you get to the event:

  • From St Mary’s leaving at 18:25, stopping at Blacktown, Seven Hills then all stations to Olympic Park.
  • From Liverpool leaving at 18:24, stopping all stations to Granville, then Auburn, Lidcombe and Olympic Park.
  • From Central leaving at 18:45, stopping at Redfern, Strathfield and Olympic Park.

Trackwork

Trackwork is taking place on Friday 29 March and may affect how you travel to and from the event:

  • T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: From 22:10, buses replace trains between Cronulla and Sutherland.

Trackwork is carried out on an ongoing basis to maintain the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the Sydney Trains network. Trackwork may affect how you travel so allow plenty of extra travel time and plan ahead. For train service disruption information, check travel alerts or plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

To note: the Epping to Chatswood rail line has been temporarily closed for upgrades ahead of the Sydney Metro Northwest services begin in May 2019. The high-frequency bus service, Station Link, replaces trains between Epping and Chatswood. For more information on Station Link, visit transportnsw.info.

The following Sydney Buses services run to Olympic Park:

  • Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Burwood via Sydney Olympic Park.
  • Route 526 runs from the Sydney Olympic Park Ferry Wharf to Olympic Park.

For bus service disruptions check travel alerts or use the Trip Planner.

Sydney Ferries services are very popular and may reach capacity. Keep this in mind if you’re planning on catching an F3 Parramatta River service. Plan your trip ahead and allow plenty of extra travel time or consider the alternative public transport options available.

ANZ Stadium is approximately 40 minutes walk (3.6km) from Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. There is a connecting 526 bus to the stadium.

Due to low tide some ferry services to and from Parramatta wharf may be replaced by buses. See Parramatta Ferry low tide for the full calendar of ferry replacement services.

Note: From Wednesday 3 October, Rydalmere Wharf will be closed for around 5 months for upgrade works. A temporary bus service, Route 535, will run between Parramatta Wharf and Sydney Olympic Park Wharf via Rydalmere Wharf to connect with F3 Parramatta River ferry services. For more information, visit transportnsw.info.

For ferry service disruption information, check travel alerts or plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

Light rail services run between Central Station and Dulwich Hill with stops at popular CBD and Inner West destinations. Change at Central for an express Western Line service to Olympic Park.

For maps and service frequencies see Light rail service information. For light rail service disruption information, check travel alerts or plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
