What's changing?

New timetables are now in effect, including almost 7,000 extra weekly trips across the bus network.

New services have been added to routes across Western Sydney, the Eastern Suburbs, Inner West, Lower North Shore and Northern Suburbs, Illawarra and Central Coast. In addition, there are changes to bus services in Pittwater and the Northern Beaches, in conjunction with the new B-Line.

Key benefits we’ve delivered across Sydney’s bus network:

  • Better connections, more capacity and improved connectivity, with almost 7,000 extra weekly trips
  • Brand frequent and reliable bus services on the B-line connecting the Northern Beaches to the City

There are also some changes to school bus timetables as well as changes to train and ferry timetables across Sydney, making it even easier for you to change between different modes of public transport.

New timetables are now in effect. There are changes to the bus network on the Northern Beaches in conjunction with the introduction of the new B1 B-line between Mona Vale and the City.

As part of the changes:

  • Introduction of the brand new B1 B-Line bus service
  • Introduction of 4 new routes:
    • Route 146 Wheeler Heights to Manly
    • Route E54 Mona Vale to Milsons Point (express)
    • Route E75 Warringah Mall (Pittwater Road) to City (express)
    • Route 199 Palm Beach to Manly
  • Changes to the following routes: 135, 145, E50, 155, 156, L60 (E60), 168, E68, E69, E70, E71, L80 (E80), 182, E83, 185, E85, E88, E89, L90, 247 and M30
  • 39 routes remain unchanged
  • 23 routes have been discontinued with alternative services available

E36 North Curl Curl to Manly Route discontinued. Existing routes 136 and 139 continue to run in this area
140 Manly to Epping via Crows Nest

Route discontinued. The existing routes 143 and 144 will continue to run between Manly and Chatswood, via St Leonards.

If you are travelling to or from Lane Cove or Epping Road, you can change to and from routes 252, 254 and 291 at St Leonards. See Sydney North

E41 North Balgowlah to Manly Route discontinued. Services to and from Manly to connect with the Manly Ferry provided by routes 132, 143 and 144.
145 The Bluff to Warringah Mall

Route modified. The route no longer runs via North Seaforth.

146 Wheeler Heights to Manly

New route. All stop service running between War Veterans Home, Warringah Mall and Manly Wheeler Heights and Manly via Warringah Mall (Pittwater Road).

The new service replaces Route 179.

E50 Manly to Milsons Point Stopping pattern modified, with services running all stops to Seaforth then stopping at Watson Street, then all stops from Miller Street to Milsons Point
153 Wheeler Heights to Warringah Mall Route discontinued. Alternative services provided by new Route 146 and existing Route 178
E54 Mona Vale to Milsons Point via North Sydney New route. Mona Vale to Milsons Point via North Sydney, stopping at all B-Line stops to Neutral Bay Junction, then all stops to Milsons Point
155 Bayview Garden Village to Narrabeen Route modified. For travel to Dee Why, Warringah Mall and Manly connect to Route 199 at Narrabeen
156 McCarrs Creek to Mona Vale Route modified. For travel to Dee Why, Warringah Mall or Manly connect to Route 199 at Mona Vale. Additional services have been provided
L60/E60 Mona Vale to Chatswood

Route L60 renumbered to E60. The route has been modified to run via Pittwater Road to Warringah Road and then via Boundary Road and Archer Street into Chatswood.

The E60 stops at all B-Line stop locations between Mona Vale and Dee Why, then limited stops via Warringah Road and Boundary Street in both directions. Additional services have been provided.

168 North Balgowlah to Milsons Point Route modified. Runs between North Balgowlah and Milsons Point only. Services to the city will continue to be provided by route E68.
E68 North Balgowlah to City Stopping pattern modified with services running all stops to Spit Junction, and then stopping only at Neutral Bay Junction and the City.
E69 Narraweena to City via Seaforth Stopping pattern modified with services running all stops to Avona Crescent, Seaforth then stopping only at Cremorne Junction, Watson Street and the City. Additional services have been provided.
E70 Manly to city Stopping pattern modified with services running all stops to Avona Crescent, Seaforth then stopping only at Cremorne Junction, Watson Street and the City.
171 Manly to City via Balgowlah Heights Route discontinued. Replaced with Route E71
E71 Manly to City via Balgowlah Heights Stopping pattern modified with services running all stops to Spit Junction then stopping only at Neutral Bay Junction and the City. Additional services have been provided.
175 Milsons Point to Warringah Mall Route discontinued. Replaced with Route E54
E75 Warringah Mall (Pittwater Road) to City via Balgowlah Shops New route. Peak express services running between Warringah Mall (Pittwater Road) and the City via Balgowlah Shops
176 Dee Why to City Route discontinued. Replaced with Route E76
L78 Dee Why to Milsons Point Route discontinued. Replaced with Route E54

Stopping pattern changes with services running all stops to Dee Why, then stopping only at Warringah Mall (Pittwater Road), Neutral Bay Junction and the City.

Additional services have been provided.

184 Mona Vale to the City Route discontinued. Replaced by routes 151, 188 or 199
E84 Mona Vale to the City Route discontinued. Replaced by B-Line services
L84 Mona Vale to Milsons Point Route discontinued. Replaced with Route E54
185 Mona Vale to Warringah Mall (Pittwater Road)via Warriewood Valley

Route modified to run between Mona Vale and Warringah Mall (Pittwater Road) only, where you can transfer to B-Line and other services.

Due to continuing road work in Macpherson Street, Route 185 will divert as currently, and the Route 181 shuttle rund until work is complete.

Route 185 in the Samuel Street, Parkland Road and Waratah Street area will be replaced by Route 182

E85 Mona Vale to City via Warriewood Valley

Stopping pattern modified with services running all stops to Dee Why, then stopping only at Warringah Mall (Pittwater Road), Neutral Bay Junction and the City. Additional services will be provided.

Due to continuing road work in Macpherson Street, Route E85 diverts as currently, and the Route 181 shuttle runs until work is complete.

L85 Mona Vale to City via Warriewood Valley Route discontinued. Replaced by Route 185. Waratah Street, Parkland Road and Samuel Street area replaced by Route 182
E86 McCarrs Creek to City Route discontinued. For travel to the City, use Route 156 and connect with B-Line services at Mona Vale
187 Newport to Milsons Point Route discontinued. Alternative service provided by Route 199, and connecting to Route E54 at B-Line stops.
E87 Newport to City Route discontinued. For travel to the city catch E88 or E89 at any bus stop along Barrenjoey Road.
L87 Newport to Milsons Point Route discontinued. Alternative service provided by Route 199, and connecting to Route E54 at B-Line stops.
E88 North Avalon to City Stopping pattern modified with services running all stops to Narrabeen then stopping only at Neutral Bay Junction and the City. Additional services have been provided.
L88 City to Avalon Route discontinued. Replaced by B-Line services
189 Pittwater House School to Avalon Route discontinued. Replaced by school service
E89 Avalon to City via Bilgola Plateau Stopping pattern modified with services running all stops to Narrabeen then stopping only at Neutral Bay Junction and the city.
190 Palm Beach to the City Route discontinued. Replaced by Route 199 and B-Line services
L90 Palm Beach to the City

Route L90 runs every 60 minutes during the weekday off-peak (9am-3pm) and weekends (7am-10pm).

Travel to the city outside of these times catch Route 199 and connect to the B-Line at Mona Vale.

191 Avalon to Avalon via Bilgola Plateau Additional services have been provided
192 Avalon to Avalon via Stokes Point Additional services have been provided
199 Palm Beach to Manly New route. All stops service running between Palm Beach and Manly
247 Taronga Zoo/Mosman Junction to City

Early morning and evening services continue to Taronga Zoo, at all other times the Route 247 runs to and from Mosman Junction.

The Route M30 has been modified to run to and from Taronga Zoo.

New timetables are now in effect. Your timetable may have changed, including extra services on some routes:

  • Route 251 Lane Cove West to City – extra services now run during morning and afternoon peak periods on weekdays.
  • Route 267 Crows Nest to Chatswood – later services now run on weekdays and an hourly service running on Saturdays. There are also new services on Sundays.
  • Route 292 Marsfield to City via Macquarie Park and Lane Cove – extra services now run across the week, including increased frequency at nights and on weekends. The route has also changed to run along Mowbray Road in Lane Cove North, providing an all-day service to and from Lane Cove Interchange, the City and Macquarie Park seven days a week.
  • Route 297 Denistone East to City – extra services now run during the morning and afternoon peak on weekdays
  • Route 533 and 534 Sydney Olympic Park and Ryde to Chatswood – more services now run during the week between Sydney Olympic Park, Ryde and Chatswood. More weekday off peak and weekend services, and later evening services will be provided between Ryde and Chatswood. Route 534 also no longer runs between West Ryde and Ryde Shops during peak periods on weekdays.
  • Route 544 Auburn to Macquarie Centre – services now run via Epping and Herring Roads at Macquarie Park, not University Avenue. If you are travelling to Macquarie University exit at the bus stops on Epping Road or along Herring Road.

For customers in Lane Cove, there are also changes to Routes 285, 294 and 289:

  • Routes 285 and 294 have minor timetable changes. Route 285 now runs in both directions during the morning and afternoon peak periods between Mars Road, Lane Cove and the City via Epping Road.
  • Route 289 has ceased to run. Instead, Route 292 has changed to run along Mowbray Road.
  • Some morning peak route services on route 294 start from Epping and Mowbray Roads instead of Macquarie Park.

Minor timetable adjustments have also been introduced on the following routes: Routes 252, 253, 254, 286, 287, 288, 290, 291, 293, 294, 297

  • Routes 607X, 611, 615X, 619, 620N and 621 – extra services run during weekday peak periods, catering for increased demand for travel to the Sydney CBD and Macquarie Park.
  • Route M60 Hornsby to Parramatta via Castle Hill – extra services run across the week.  Most services on route 600 have been renumbered to route M60.
  • Route M61 Castle Hill to City via M2 – extra services run on Saturday evenings
  • Route 630 Blacktown to Macquarie Centre – this route has ceased to run between Epping and Macquarie Park, to better align with customer travel patterns and support more reliable services.
  • Route 637 Glenorie to Castle Hill – extra services run on weekdays and Saturdays
  • Route 711 Blacktown to Parramatta via Westmead – extra, more frequent services run across the week between Westmead Children’s Hospital and Parramatta, with services running every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes at night and on weekends.

  • Route 817 Cabramatta to Fairfield – extra shoulder peak and evening services run between Cabramatta and Fairfield, and later evening services run on weekends
  • Route T80 Liverpool to Parramatta – extra shoulder peak and evening services run on weekdays between Liverpool, Bonnyrigg and Parramatta, including some existing trip extensions to provide greater customer travel opportunities.
  • Route 827 Liverpool to Cecil Hills has been extended to run and from Carnes Hill Marketplace.

  • Route 324 Edgecliff to Watsons Bay – extra early morning and evening services run on weekdays, and extra daytime services run on weekends
  • Route 325 Edgecliff to Watsons Bay – extra daytime services run on weekends
  • Route 352 Marrickville Metro to Bondi Junction – extra weekday and weekend services run, including peak hour and later evening services, and later services on weekends.
  • Route 353 Eastgardens to Bondi Junction – extra weekday and weekend services run, including peak hour and later evening services, and later services on weekends.
  • Route 360 North Clovelly to Bondi Junction – later evening services run seven days a week.
  • Route 370 Coogee to Leichhardt – extra morning peak hour services run on weekdays and extra daytime services run on weekends
  • Routes 374 and X74 Coogee to City – extra morning peak hour services run on route X74 and early evening services run on route 374.
  • Routes 392 and X92 Little Bay to City – extra morning and afternoon peak services run on weekdays, and earlier services run on Sundays
  • Route 418 Burwood to Bondi Junction – later and more frequent evening services run seven days a week.

Route 891 UNSW services towards Central Station has been renumbered to:

  • Route 893 (for services commencing from High Street – Gate 3)
  • Route 898 (for services commencing from High Street – Gate 8)

Services from Central Station towards UNSW remain numbered as route 891.

Also, to better reflect customer travel patterns and provide more reliable services:

  • Routes 333, 380, 381 and 382 – extra services run during morning and afternoon peak periods between Bondi Beach and Bondi Junction. There have been some adjustments to direct City services from Bondi Beach during the morning peak period.
  • Route 389 run between Bondi Junction and Pyrmont only, rather than between Bondi Junction and North Bondi. New route 379 provides services between North Bondi and Bondi Junction.
  • Route 440 runs between Bondi Junction and Rozelle only, and no longer runs between Bondi Junction and Bronte. New route 379 provided services between Bronte and Bondi Junction.
  • New route 379 runs between North Bondi and Bronte via Bondi Junction

To improve connectivity, an additional stop has been added at Green Square Station (Botany Road) on the following express routes:

  • Route X09 Matraville to Railway Square
  • Route X10 Eastgardens to Railway Square
  • Route X93 Little Bay to Railway Square

  • Route 450 Strathfield to Hurstville – extra services run on weeknights and Saturdays. However, it no longer runs between Strathfield and Burwood
  • Route 944 Bankstown to Mortdale – extra services run on weekdays. However, services no longer run between Mortdale and Hurstville.
  • Route 946 Bankstown to Roselands – extra services run on weekdays. However, services no longer run between Roselands and Hurstville.

  • New bus service, route 75 runs between Tullimbar and Shellharbour, via Calderwood.
  • Route 75 run approximately every hour on weekdays from early morning until evening. The new service links growing residential areas at Tullimbar and Calderwood with Shellharbour Town Centre
  • Also, additional services operate on route 887 across the week between Campbelltown and Wollongong (see Sydney South West).

  • Route 47 bus services run additional services on weekdays, and have changed routes to run between Ourimbah and Tuggerah. This provides an hourly service on this route on weekdays.

Other bus routes have changed to accommodate the additional services.
