Buses replace trains between Central and Bondi Junction

Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 April
  • Buses replace trains between Central and Bondi Junction, but do not stop at Martin Place.
  • Trains run to a changed timetable between Cronulla, Waterfall and the City Circle, with some making extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville.
  • Change at:
    - Central for buses to Kings Cross and Edgecliff
    - Town Hall for express buses to Bondi Junction.

  • From Martin Place Station, buses leave from nearby bus stops, or you can walk to Wynyard Station for trains to T4 Illawarra Line stations.
  • Metro trackwork may affect how you travel. Metro services do not run between Sydenham and Chatswood.
  • Use train services to continue your journey.
  • Plan your trip before you travel for up-to-date real time information. You can also subscribe to planned trackwork alerts.

20T4 Bondi Junction, Edgecliff, Kings Cross, Central and return (bypassing Martin Place)
23T4 Bondi Junction, Town Hall and return
324/325 City, Walsh Bay to Watsons Bay via Town Hall (Park St), Kings Cross, Edgecliff stations and return
333 City to Bondi Beach via Martin Place and Bondi Junction stations and return
 
Replacement buses
  • Most replacement buses are Opal-enabled. Tap on and off with a valid Opal or contactless card. Fines apply without a valid ticket.
  • Bikes aren’t allowed on replacement buses. Use a nearby bike shed or locker.
  • Services may be delayed or cancelled due to driver shortages. We're working to minimise disruptions and keep your journey safe.
