Getting to the Blue Mountains

Sydney Trains Intercity trains run to and from Sydney at least every hour. The journey to the top of the Blue Mountains takes about two hours, with stops at Parramatta, Westmead, Penrith, and Springwood. Express services with limited stops, including Katoomba, are also available.

Getting around the Blue Mountains

Sydney Trains Intercity services stop at most stations throughout the Blue Mountains. In Katoomba, public buses run to Echo Point, or you can take the hop-on, hop-off Blue Mountains Explorer Bus from Katoomba Station, which loops through major attractions from Scenic World to Leura. Local taxis and bus services are also available to take you to key locations and attractions.
