Your Opal journey has a time limit based on the transport type and location. Exceeding this limit may result in extra charges.

If you tap off after exceeding the allowed time:

  1. Your previous tap-on is considered an incomplete journey.
  2. You'll get two default fares:
    • One for the started journey that took too long.
    • Another when you tap-off, as it will be treated as a new journey.
