Current and former employees

If you work or used to work for Transport for NSW or another transport agency, you may be eligible for concession fares using an Employee Opal card or other travel pass, if you meet certain eligibility requirements.

Current employees

If you are a current employee of Transport for NSW or a Transport agency and you would like to apply for your first employee Opal card, you can either:

  • contact HR or your local business partner to get the relevant form, or
  • visit the Transport for NSW intranet, or
  • send an enquiry through to the Concessions team via the Concessions application form.

If you do not have the new blue Employee Opal card, you must get one as soon as possible because the old grey Employee card is no longer valid for travel. Please confirm or update your personal details (address, email and mobile number) so the new blue Employee Opal card can be sent to you. Please confirm or update your details through the secure online form.

If your blue Employee Opal card has been lost or stolen, please send an enquiry through to the Concessions team via the Concessions application form.

Former employees

Download and complete the applicable form below for a:

  • new or replacement pass
  • letter of introduction, or
  • request for pass entitlements

  • Download, complete and save your completed application form.
  • You may also need to include supporting documents so be sure to prepare digital copies before you submit your application.
  • Upload and submit your completed application form and any supporting documents online via the Concessions application form.
