On Demand travel credit

You can earn and use On Demand travel credit when you transfer between an Opal network service and an eligible On Demand service listed below.

Fares for On Demand services will be deducted first from your available credit in your Transport Connect account balance. Any remaining balance will be charged to your stored payment method, such as a credit card.

• You need to sign up for a Transport Connect account to earn travel credit.
• Earn up to $2 travel credit ($1 for child/concession) when you transfer between a mode on the Opal network and an eligible On Demand service.
• Transfers must be made within 60 minutes.
• Travel credit is added to your Transport Connect account balance.

Don’t have an account? Sign up for Transport Connect to start earning travel credit.

• Sign in to the On Demand app with your Transport Connect username and password. This will set Transport Connect as your payment method. 
• Travel credit is automatically applied to your next On Demand trip before any other payment method.
• If the fare exceeds your travel credit balance, the remaining amount will be charged to your stored payment method, such as a credit card.
• Travel credit can only be used for On Demand services.
• Only the services listed on this page are eligible for travel credit.

For all eligible services, you must:

• Book your trip in the On Demand app.
• Select Transport Connect as your payment method.
• Enter your Transport Connect username and password to link your account.
