Getting to Armidale

Armidale is located in the New England North West region on the northern tablelands of the Great Dividing Range, 569 kilometres north-west of Sydney.

The Armidale XPLORER runs daily from Sydney to Armidale.

Getting around Armidale

Private buses operate throughout Armidale and taxi and hire car services are also available. There is a free Armidale Heritage tour that takes visitors to major historic and architectural landmarks, and Armidale has an extensive cycleway.
