Booking options

  • Groups of up to 15 passengers: You can book online.
  • Groups of 16 or more passengers: Call us on 13 22 32 (or +61 2 3814 0210 if calling from overseas) to make your reservation.

Group travel eligibility

  • Booking: All bookings must be made at the same time.
  • Travel together: The entire group must travel together, getting on and off at the same locations.
  • Same seat class: Everyone in the group must travel in the same seat class.

Note: Group bookings are subject to availability with group sizes limited to ensure the safety and comfort of all customers.

There may be times where we are not able to accommodate your group on your preferred service. We will advise you of any available travel alternatives.

School excursion groups

NSW TrainLink provides a safe and reliable way for school groups to travel.

To book a school excursion:

  • Book your trip – Call NSW TrainLink on 13 22 32 to make a reservation.
  • Arrive early – Allow extra time before departure, especially if checking in luggage.
  • Inform the station – Let the local station manager know your departure and return details, including the number of travellers.
  • Follow luggage rules – Make sure students understand and comply with luggage restrictions.
  • Encourage good behaviour – Students must behave safely and respectfully, just like all other passengers.
  • Avoid peak times in Sydney – If possible, travel outside weekday peak times (7am – 9am and 4pm – 7pm).
