To change student details for a School Opal card or school travel pass, you will need to re-apply or update their details.

You must re-apply or update a student's School Opal card or school travel pass if they:

  • change school or campus
  • change home address
  • change their name
  • receive an expiry notification but have special circumstances
  • request a new transport operator

  • You need to complete the form in one session. You will not be able to save a partly completed form.
  • Students under 16 years of age will need a parent or legal guardian to submit the application.
  • Students aged 16 years or older will need to complete and submit their own application.
  • Update your School Travel Pass
  • If the student has never had a pass before, go to apply for a pass for the first time.
  • If a card is damaged, lost or stolen, go to replace a damaged, lost, or stolen pass.
