Lost and stolen Opal cards

You can replace an Opal card if it gets lost or stolen, however only if it is registered.

Firstly, log in on the Opal website to report your card as lost or stolen or call 13 67 25 (13 OPAL).

Your card will be blocked from the time that you report it and your balance will be protected. You won't be able to use it if you find it.

Once reported, you will then be able to order a new Opal card or you can transfer the balance of your registered lost card to another registered Opal card linked to your Opal account.

A new card will be mailed to you. This can take five to seven working days.
