Activate your new card

If you applied for a new or replacement Opal card online or over the phone, you will need to activate it if you added value to the card.

Top up your card

Add value to your Opal card online or set up auto-top up.

Register your Opal card

To register your Opal card, log into your Opal account or use the Opal Travel app. If you don’t have an account, you can create one online.

Once registered, you can:

Protect your balance by blocking a lost card
Set up auto top-up
Link multiple cards and transfer your balance
