Manage your Opal card and contactless payments online.

Your Opal account

View your Opal balance and payments, top up, activate new cards, block lost cards and transfer balance across linked Opal cards.

Use your Opal card number to see your Opal balance and travel activity.

If you applied for a new or replacement Opal card online or over the phone, you will need to activate it if you added value to the card.

Add value to your Opal card online or set up auto-top up.

To register your Opal card, log into your Opal account or use the Opal Travel app. If you don’t have an account, you can create one online.

Once registered, you can:

See your Opal balance and/or activity, apply for a refund, fare adjustment or request a balance transfer to a new card.

You may need to take action to keep or claim your remaining balance.

This applies to unregistered Adult and Child/Youth Opal cards not used for 5 years or more.

If you forget to tap off or tap on you will be charged the default fare for that trip.

Report your registered lost or stolen Opal card to freeze and protect the balance.

Make changes and apply for school passes and school travel subsidies.

Download the app to access and manage your travel cards on the go.

Register your contactless credit or debit card to view a more detailed trip history, get reimbursements, and access your activity.

View basic information for your last 10 trips by entering your card details.
