There are a number of different locations where you can get help with planning a trip, getting an Opal card and other transport enquiries.

Sydney CBD

  • Monday to Saturday: 6am to 8:30pm
  • Sundays and public holidays: 7am to 8:30pm

Located on the Grand Concourse at Central Station, the Customer Service Centre can help with trip planning for all public transport in NSW. There is also free WiFi available.

You can get an unregistered Adult or Child Opal card, or top up your existing Opal card.

However, the Transport Customer Service Centres at Central and Circular Quay do not accept cash payments.

  • Weekends and public holidays: 6am to 5pm

Located opposite Wharf 5 at Circular Quay on Alfred Street, the Customer Service Centre can help with trip planning for all public transport in NSW.

Staffed offices at train stations can provide train information and timetables.

If you don't have an Opal card, Opal single trip tickets can be purchased from Opal top up and single trip ticket machines located at most train stations.
