Keep the kids entertained

We all know that it can be hard to keep kids occupied when travelling long distances.

Make sure any devices are fully charged before you travel.

Need a recharge? EzyCharge stations are available at some stations on the NSW TrainLink network.

We suggest bringing a travel pack of activities such as colouring books, stickers, puzzles and small toys.

Check the luggage restrictions before you pack

Children have the same luggage allowance as the travel class on their ticket (Economy or First Class).

In addition, you can bring essential infant and children’s items at no extra charge, including:

  • a child restraint car seat, booster seat, or baby safety capsule (ensure straps are secured)
  • a collapsible pram or stroller.

For more details on luggage allowance and travel classes, see Luggage.

Stay safe while travelling

Our aim is to keep you safe at all times:

  • Board with prams facing forward and lift the front wheels over the gap. Read our safety guide on travelling with prams and children.
  • If there is a seatbelt available on your coach, you must wear it for the whole trip.

Need help? Ask transport staff for assistance.
