Important Travel Advice
Ticketholders are encouraged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time.
The precinct will be very busy with 70,000 Lady Gaga fans also travelling to Accor Stadium at the same time.
Trains run regularly to Olympic Park from Lidcombe and the venue is a short walk from the station. Additional trains will run for the Lady Gaga concert that Sara Landry ticketholders can take advantage of.
You'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport to and from the event. Register your details online at Opal or via the Opal Travel app ahead of time.
If you need to drive, pre-book parking to guarantee a car space – available until 11:59pm the night before the event. A flat rate $35 parking fee will apply.
Significant traffic delays are expected as concert goers travel to Olympic Park in the already busy evening peak. Allow plenty of extra travel time on roads and plan your trip before leaving home. You can find real-time updates on traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.
Opal
You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.
Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.
More ways to pay
If you have a contactless-enabled American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card, or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Available on all public transport, contactless payments are another way to pay on the Opal network. Adult Opal fare pricing applies and you will receive Opal benefits, including daily and weekly fare caps.
Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city.
The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham from early morning until late.
Change at Epping or Central to connect with train services towards Lidcombe then Olympic Park.

The closest station to Sydney Showground is Olympic Park.
Trains run regularly to Lidcombe where you can change for a direct train to Olympic Park regularly until late.
Additional trains will run to Olympic Park for the Lada Gaga concert that Sara Landry ticketholders can take advantage of. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner and remember that you'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport to and from the event.
Trackwork
There are service changes taking place on Friday 12 December on the following lines which may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.
- T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: From 3.40pm to 11pm, Inner West trains run between the City and Homebush only, not Parramatta. You may need to change trains to continue your journey.
- T9 Northern Line: From 4pm to 7.30pm, some trains between Hornsby, Epping and Central run to a changed timetable and reduced frequency.
- Blue Mountains Line: The 16:54 Central to Katoomba service will not run.
- Central Coast & Newcastle Line: The 16:47 Central to Newcastle Interchange service will not run.

The following Sydney buses services run to Olympic Park:
- Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Sydney Olympic Park via Newington.
- Route 526 runs between Strathfield and Rhodes Shopping Centre via Sydney Olympic Park precinct and wharf.
- Route 533 runs from Sydney Olympic Park to Chatswood via Rhodes & North Ryde.

Bus Diversions
Route 525, 526 and 533 services will divert while and miss stops while road closures are in place. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.
From 7pm Thursday 11 December to 3am Sunday 14 December
- Route 525 and 526 services in both directions will be diverting via Edwin Flack Avenue, Sarah Durack Avenue and Australia Avenue, and will miss stops on Dawn Fraser Avenue and Park Street. Catch these services from the stop on Park Street at Olympic Park train station or other alternative stop locations on Edwin Flack Avenue.
From 4pm Friday 12 December to 2am Saturday 13 December, then from 4pm Saturday 13 December to 2am Sunday 14 December
- Route 533 services in both directions will be diverting via Hill Road, Pondage Link, Edwin Flack Avenue, Sarah Durack Avenue and Australia Avenue, and will miss stops on Holker Busway. Allow extra time and check signs at stops for alternate stop locations.
From 7am to 8.30am, then from 3pm to 4.15pm, on Friday 12 December
- School routes 665, 760 and 761 Services in both directions will be diverting via Edwin Flack Avenue, Sarah Durack Avenue and Australia Avenue, and will miss stops on Dawn Fraser Avenue and Park Street. Catch these services from the stop on Park Street at Olympic Park train station or other alternative stop locations on Edwin Flack Avenue.

The closest wharf to Sydney Showground is Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. There is a connecting 526 bus to the venue or alternatively it is approximately a 40-minute walk (3.6km) from the wharf.
F3 Parramatta River services run regularly to Olympic Park, but services are very popular and may reach capacity. Keep this in mind if you’re planning on catching an F3 Parramatta River service. Plan your trip and allow plenty of extra travel time or consider the alternative public transport options available.
F3 Parramatta River ferries may be affected by low tide between Parramatta and Rydalmere and replaced by buses. Check for updates here.

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with a train service to Lidcombe then Olympic Park from Parramatta Station.
Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.

Traffic may be heavier than usual on roads approaching Sydney Olympic Park as attendees travel to and from the event alongside other events taking place in the precinct. Travel with your group and allow extra travel time on the M4, Parramatta Road, Homebush Bay Drive and Concord Road.
If you have to drive, carpool with your group pre-book your parking online ahead of time to secure a space – available until 11:59pm the night before the event unless sold out prior.
To get to your carpark and avoid the heavy traffic congestion expected at the Homebush Bay Drive roundabout, use Silverwater Road, Holker Street and Hill Road.
Road Closures
Sydney Olympic Park Authority will close local roads in the precinct to accommodate increased public transport services and ensure pedestrian safety during the event. For road closure details, visit the Sydney Olympic Park interactive map.

Sydney Olympic Park Car Parks
- Parking will sell out in advance, so it is essential that you pre-book parking online to guarantee a car space if you need to drive. An event flat rate $35 parking fee will apply.
- Carpool with your group and allow plenty of extra travel time as significant traffic delays are expected on roads approaching the precinct and entering car parks, particularly during the busy Friday night peak. - If you have pre-booked parking, follow the directions of staff and have your parking ticket ready to show at the car park entry. Use Silverwater Road, Holker Street and Hill Road to get to your car park and avoid the heavy traffic congestion expected at the Homebush Bay Drive roundabout. - After the show, traffic will be very heavy as everyone leaves at the same time. Expect to allow up to an hour of additional travel time exiting car parks.
- You can also consider parking at a nearby train station commuter car park and continuing your trip on one of the many extra trains running to Olympic Park, at no extra cost.
- If you're getting dropped off or catching rideshare, taxi ranks are located on Herb Elliott Avenue.
- After the show, avoid delays leaving car parks by enjoying many of the venues in the precinct that will stay open after each concert.
Train Station Commuter Parking
A number of key train stations have large commuter car parks, so consider parking at a station near you then catching one of the extra trains to Olympic Park.
Stations with large car parks on the western line where you can change for a frequent direct train to Olympic Park include:
- T1 Western Line: Seven Hills, Blacktown, Emu Plains, Rooty Hill, St Marys and Penrith.
Stations with large car parks on other train lines that require one interchange by train to get to Olympic Park include:
- T1 North Shore & T9 Northern Line: Gordon, Thornleigh and Concord West.
- T2 Inner West & Leppington Line: Fairfield, Warwick Farm, Leppington and Edmonson Park.
- T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: Sutherland and Kogarah.
- T8 Airport & South Line: Padstow, Revesby, Glenfield, Holsworthy, Macarthur, Campbelltown and Leumeah.
Transport Park&Ride Car Parks
