Planned trackwork on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June

On Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June, trackwork may affect how you travel. Plan ahead and allow extra travel time.

  • Metro services do not run between Tallawong and Sydenham. More>>
  • Buses replace services between Tallawong and Chatswood only.
  • Use trains between Epping or Chatswood, the City and Sydenham.
  • For travel to and from Waterloo use local buses or trains from Redfern.

City Circle 

  • Trains do not run around the City Circle but continue to run between Central and Wynyard. More>>
  • For travel to Circular Quay, St James or Museum use light rail, local buses or walk.

T1 Western Line

  • Richmond trains run between Richmond and Central, platforms 1-14 only. More>>
  • Penrith trains make an extra stop at Ashfield.

T2 Leppington & Inner West Line

  • Buses replace trains between Leppington and Glenfield. More>>
  • Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between:
    • Macarthur and Central, platforms 1-14 via Granville 
    • Homebush and North Sydney.
  • Macarthur trains do not stop at Ashfield. You may need to change trains to continue your journey.
     
  • Saturday from 1pm to 12am, Inner West trains run to a changed timetable between Olympic Park and North Sydney.

T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line

  • Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Liverpool or Homebush and North Sydney. More>>
  • From 6.30am to 10.30am Saturday, trains run to a changed timetable between Liverpool and Lidcombe only. Change trains at Lidcombe to continue your journey.

T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line

  • All Cronulla and some Waterfall trains make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville. More>>
  • Saturday from 3am to 11.30am, buses replace trains between Waterfall and Sutherland.
  • Trains run to a changed timetable between Cronulla, Sutherland and Bondi Junction.

T5 Cumberland Line

  • Buses replace trains between Leppington and Glenfield. More>>
  • Trains run between Glenfield and Central via Granville, and between Liverpool and Schofields or Richmond, some to a changed timetable. 
  • You may need to change trains to continue your journey.

T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line

  • Trains run to a changed timetable and reduced frequency, every 30 minutes. More>>

T8 Airport & South Line

  • Buses replace trains between Glenfield, Sydenham and Central via the Airport. More>>
  • Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Macarthur and Central, platforms 1-14 via Granville or Regents Park, and between Sydenham and Bondi Junction.
     
  • From the Airport, if travelling to T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra or South Coast Line stations change at Central, not Wolli Creek.

South Coast Line

  • Saturday from 3am to 11.30am, buses replace trains between Dapto, Port Kembla and Sutherland. More>>

Southern Highlands Line

  • The following trains leave Central earlier than the normal timetable: More>>
