Important Event Information
With Parramatta transport interchange within a short 15 minute walking distance the best way to get to and from Bankwest Stadium is by public transport as match tickets include return travel. Trains to Parramatta run every 10 to 15 minutes and additional bus services will run throughout the day.
Roads approaching Parramatta are expected to be busy so if you are planning on driving, allow additional travel time.

Valid pre-purchased match tickets include travel to and from Bankwest Stadium in Parramatta on the following public transport services:
- Sydney Train services (bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations)
- Sydney Metro services
- Regular bus services
- Sydney Ferries and Newcastle Ferries
- Sydney and Newcastle Light rail services
Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you’ll need to use your Opal card or accepted contactless payment method as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your event ticket is valid on public transport until 04:00 the following day.
Note: an additional station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. Your event ticket does not include the access fee, so if you're travelling from these stations you'll need to pay the train station access fee
Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Tallawong Station and Chatswood Station.
Metro services start running from the early morning. Change at Epping to connect with train services towards Parramatta.
Last services from Chatswood to Tallawong leave at 12.45am on Thursday nights and at 1.45am on Friday and Saturday nights.
You can use your Opal card or accepted contactless payment method on Sydney Metro services.
The closest station to Bankwest Stadium is Parramatta which is approximately a 15 minute walk via Argyle St, Church St, the Riverside Walk or through Prince Alfred Square to the Stadium on O'Connell St. Alternatively, make your way down Church St, George St or Phillip St then O'Connell St.

Trains run every 10 to 15 minutes to Parramatta in both directions.
Trackwork is taking place from 02:00 Saturday 27 July and 02:00 Monday 29 July and may affect how you travel to and from the event:
- City Circle: Trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall. Buses replace trains from Circular Quay to Wynyard and Town Hall, in that direction only.
- T1 North Shore Line: Trains run between Berowra and Wynyard only, and between Lindfield and North Sydney only. Trains from Wynyard run around the City Circle in one direction only, from Wynyard, first stop Circular Quay.
- T1 Western Line: Penrith trains run between Penrith and Central only. Richmond trains run between Richmond and Olympic Park only.
- T2 Inner West & Leppington Line: Buses replace trains between Ashfield and Central. Homebush trains will not run. Leppington trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Ashfield only.
- T8 Airport & South Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern. Revesby trains run between Revesby and Central via the Airport. Macarthur trains towards the City run via Sydenham. Trains from the City Circle run to Macarthur via the Airport.
- T9 Northern Line: Trains run between Hornsby and Central only.
Trackwork is carried out on an ongoing basis to maintain the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the Sydney Trains network. Plenty of regular route bus services run to and from Parramatta Interchange which is within a 15 minute walking distance of Bankwest Stadium. From the interchange head down Argyle St, Church St and take either the Riverside Walk or walk through Prince Alfred Square to get to the stadium on O'Connell St. See the Bankwest Stadium transport and walking map (pdf 1.7MB) for more details on how to get to and from the stadium.
Additional regular route bus services from the North Western suburbs will run to and from Parramatta.
The following routes will run services every 10 to 20 minutes to and from Parramatta between approximately 1:30pm and 6pm, depending on the route:
- Route 549 between Epping and Parramatta
- Route 550 between Epping and Parramatta
- Route 600 between Castle Hill Station and Parramatta Interchange
- Route 601 between Rouse Hill and Parramatta
- Route T65 between Rouse Hill and Parramatta
Plenty of other regular bus routes also run to Parramatta and stop within walking distance of the stadium including routes T80, 603, 606, 609 and 625.
The free Parramatta CBD shuttle bus (route 900) runs regularly from 8am until 4pm but keep in mind this service is limited and will be busy so consider the short 15 minute walk to the stadium instead. See the Shuttle Bus Map for stop locations.
Buses may be affected as roads around the stadium may close prior to full-time under the direction of NSW Police to allow crowds to safely exit the stadium.

Route 549 bus services may divert around O'Connell St and miss stops outside the stadium and at Parramatta Leagues Club while road closures are in place. Services will instead pick up from the stop on O'Connell St opp Harold St. Customers are advised to check bus stop signage for directions to the alternate bus stop location.

Accessible shuttle bus
An accessible shuttle bus service will operate from 12:30pm until 7pm between Parramatta Interchange and the Stadium for patrons with accessibility or mobility needs.
Services pick up from Argyle St just after Church St outside Parramatta Westfield. Services drop off on O'Connell St at the Parramatta Leagues Club. Return services will pick up and drop off at the same locations.
Light rail services run between Central Station and Dulwich Hill with stops at popular CBD and Inner West destinations. From Central change for a Western Line train to Parramatta.
Traffic will be heavy on roads approaching the stadium including Parramatta Rd, Church St, Victoria Rd, James Ruse Dr and Pennant Hills Rd during.
Sections of O’Connell Street, Ross Street and Victoria Road around the stadium may close prior to full- to allow crowds to safely leave the precinct. Motorists may experience delays on roads through Parramatta CBD as crowds head home.
Motorists are advised to allow plenty of extra travel time through Parramatta CBD area and consider travelling via Parkes St, Harris St, Macarthur St and Isabella St or Victoria Rd instead to avoid the delays.Motorists should also exercise caution as pedestrian activity will be high on roads between Parramatta Interchange and the Stadium as crowds arrive and leave the area.
The widened M4 between Parramatta and Homebush and the new M4 Tunnels between Homebush and Haberfield allows motorists to bypass more than 50 sets of traffic lights on Parramatta Road. A distance-based toll applies. For details on the M4 upgrades, visit westconnex.com.au.
Attendees are encouraged to leave the car at home and catch public transport as travel is included in their event ticket. If you have to drive to the game, plan to arrive early, car pool where possible and allow plenty of extra travel time.
The following car parks are within walking distance of the stadium. There's no public parking available at Bankwest Stadium:
- Justice Precinct Car Park (Hunter Street)
- Eat Street Car Park (George Street)
- City Centre Car Park (George Street)
- Riverbank Car Park (Phillip Street)

Accessible Event Shuttle bus
For patrons with mobility impairments or accessibility requirement a dedicated accessible shuttle bus will run between Parramatta Interchange and the Stadium on event days.
The accessible shuttle bus service will operate from 12:30pm until 7pm. Services pick up and drop off on Argyle St just after Church St outside Parramatta Westfield and on O'Connell St at the Parramatta Leagues Club.
