Concert Ticket Entitlements 

Valid pre-purchased tickets to the Mayday concert at Accor Stadium, Sydney Olympic Park on Saturday 22 February includes travel on the following transport services, just show your event ticket to Transport staff when boarding services: 

• Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations.
• Sydney Metro services.
• Sydney, Parramatta and Newcastle Light rail services 

For travel on buses and ferries, you will need to use an Opal card or contactless payment method. See below for more information. 

Opal

You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.

Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.

More ways to pay

If you have a contactless-enabled American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card, or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Available on all public transport, contactless payments are another way to pay on the Opal network. Adult Opal fare pricing applies and you will receive Opal benefits, including daily and weekly fare caps.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city. 

The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go metro services in both directions between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham. Metro services start running from early morning, every 5 to 10 minutes, until late at night.  

Change at Epping or Central to connect with train services towards Lidcombe then Olympic Park.

The closest station to Accor Stadium is Olympic Park.  

Trains run regularly to Lidcombe where you can head to Platform Zero for a direct train to Olympic Park, running every 10 minutes until late.  

Please note: Due to planned weekend trackwork on the T1 Western Line buses replace trains between Emu Plains and Parramatta. Trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Blacktown, and between Parramatta and the City.

Additional services will be running to help you get home from the event; 

• To Leppington: An additional service to Leppington will leave Lidcombe at 11:22pm stopping all stations to Leppington via Granville and Fairfield.  
• To Hurstville: An additional service to Hurstville will leave Central at 11:41pm stopping all stations to Hurstville.  

Trackwork 

Planned weekend trackwork is taking place on Saturday 22 February and may affect how you travel to and from the event.  

• T1 Western Line: Buses replace trains between Emu Plains and Parramatta. Trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Blacktown, and between Parramatta and the City.
• T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: From 6.30am to 10.30am, trains run to a changed timetable between Liverpool and Lidcombe, and between Homebush and the City only.
• T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: All Cronulla and some Waterfall trains make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville.
• T5 Cumberland Line: Buses replace trains between Blacktown and Parramatta. Trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Blacktown, and between Parramatta or Leppington and the City via Granville.
• T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line: From 6.30am to 10.30am, trains run between Bankstown and Lidcombe to a changed frequency, every 30 minutes. 
• T8 Airport & South Line: Trains run between Macarthur or Revesby and the City via the Airport only. T4 trains run between Sydenham and Bondi Junction, some making extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville. 
• Blue Mountains Line: Buses replace trains between Bathurst and Parramatta. T1 Western Line trains run between Parramatta and the City, to a changed timetable 
• Central Coast and Newcastle Line: Most trains run between Central Coast & Newcastle Line stations and Strathfield only. Change at Epping for metro services to the City or change trains at Strathfield to continue your journey. Some early morning trains run around the City Circle. From 6am to 11am, at Cowan, all trains leave from platform 2.

The following Sydney bus services run to Olympic Park: 

• Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Sydney Olympic Park via Newington (this route no longer runs to or from Strathfield, if you are travelling from Strathfield catch a 526 buses instead).  
• Route 526 runs between Strathfield and Rhodes Shopping Centre via Sydney Olympic Park precinct and wharf.  
• Route 533 runs between Sydney Olympic Park and Chatswood via Rhodes & North Ryde. 

Please note major event buses will not run for this concert.

The closest wharf to Accor Stadium is Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. There is a connecting 526 bus to the venue or alternatively it is approximately a 40-minute walk (3.6km) from the wharf. 

F3 Parramatta River services run regularly to Olympic Park, but services are very popular and may reach capacity. Keep this in mind if you’re planning on catching an F3 Parramatta River service. Plan your trip and allow plenty of extra travel time or consider the alternative public transport options available. 

F3 Parramatta River ferries between Parramatta and Rydalmere may be affected by low tide and replaced by buses, check for updates here.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line

L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner. 

Change at Central for trains to Lidcombe then Olympic Park. 

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines 

Weekend Trackwork:

Trackwork full line closure - Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 February  

From Saturday 22 to Sunday 23 February, L2 Randwick Line and L3 Kingsford Line light rail services will not run due to planned trackwork and maintenance works. During this time, buses will replace services between Central Chalmers Street and Randwick or Juniors Kingsford. Catch trains or regular bus services to travel between Circular Quay and Central Chalmers Street.

Change at Central for trains to Lidcombe then Olympic Park.  

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with a train service towards Olympic Park from Parramatta Station. 

Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings. Read the news story for more information.

Traffic will be heavier than usual on roads approaching Sydney Olympic Park as attendees travel to and from the precinct. Travel with your group and allow extra travel time on the M4, Parramatta Road, Homebush Bay Drive and Concord Road. 

Consider catching public transport or parking at a nearby station commuter carpark and continuing your trip by train to Olympic Park to avoid traffic delays. Travel on trains, metro and light rail is included in your event ticket. 

If you have to drive, carpool with your group pre-book your parking online ahead of time to secure a space – available until 11:59pm the night before the event unless sold out prior.  

To get to your carpark and avoid the heavy traffic congestion expected at the Homebush Bay Drive roundabout, use Silverwater Road, Holker Street and Hill Road. 

Sydney Olympic Park Authority may close some local roads to accommodate increased public transport services and ensure pedestrian safety during events. For road closure details, visit the Sydney Olympic Park interactive map for more details.

The nearest Taxi Rank is on Herb Elliott Avenue at Park Street. 

If you’re using taxis or rideshare, remember that roads will be closed within the precinct. Allow plenty of extra travel time due to the increased traffic expected in the precinct before and after the event. 

When leaving, choose a pick-up location away from the immediate area around the stadium to avoid delays. 

There is no designated rideshare pick up location in the precinct. Demand for rideshare will be high and prices are likely to be surging. Avoid the traffic delays while roads are closed and consider catching a train or bus outside of the precinct instead to catch rideshare.

Visit Sydney Olympic Park – Parking to secure your parking space ahead of the event, available until 11:59pm the night before the event unless sold out prior.

Alternatively, consider parking at a nearby train station commuter car park and continuing the trip to Olympic Park by train. Event tickets include travel on public transport.  

If you have pre-booked a space, follow the directions of staff and have your parking ticket ready to show at the car park entry. Carpool with your group and allow plenty of additional travel time. Use Silverwater Road, Holker Street and Hill Road to get to your car park and avoid the heavy traffic congestion expected at the Homebush Bay Drive roundabout. 

Traffic delays are expected after the event as attendees leave the precinct.
