Event ticket travel entitlements

Valid pre-purchased tickets to the 2025 Sydney Royal Easter Show include travel to and from Sydney Olympic Park on the following transport services, just show your event ticket to transport staff when boarding: 

• Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations)
• Sydney Metro services
• Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses
• Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan buses
• Sydney, Parramatta and Newcastle Light Rail services
• Sydney and Newcastle Ferries

Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card or contactless payment method, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your Show ticket is valid on the modes of public transport listed above until 4am the following day.

Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.

Transport Park&Ride Car Parks

Park for free when you catch public transport. Transport Park&Ride provides up to 18 hours of free parking each day. All you have to do is complete a public transport trip. Located close to public transport hubs, Park&Ride car parks help you connect more easily to train, bus and ferry services. 

Tickets to the 2025 Sydney Royal Easter Show include travel on transport and free Park&Ride parking. When leaving the car park use the intercom button at the exit gate to speak with the operator and show your event ticket. 

Real-time parking availability allows you to see how many vacant car park spaces are available at Transport Park&Ride car parks. For Park&Ride locations and more information on how it works, go to Transport Park&Ride.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city. 

The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services in both directions between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham. Metro services start running from early morning, every 5 to 10 minutes, until late at night.  

Change at Epping for trains towards Lidcombe then Olympic Park, or at Central for express trains. 

Travel on metro is included in your Easter Show ticket – simply show your ticket to staff when boarding services. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner or free Opal Travel app.

Connect with Major Event Buses

You can also connect with Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses routes 1A, 1B, 5A and 5B from the following North West Metro stations to get to the concert:

• Route 1A: Chatswood and North Ryde stations
• Route 1B: Macquarie Park Station
• Route 5A: Hills Showground and Castle Hill stations
• Route 5B: Tallawong, Rouse Hill, Kellyville, Bella Vista and Norwest stations

Park & Ride at commuter car parks

Consider parking at existing commuter car parks at Metro North West stations and connecting with Major Event Buses Route 5A or 5B to Olympic Park. Large commuter carparks are located at the following stations.

• Tallawong – 1000 spaces
• Kellyville – 1360 spaces
• Bella Vista – 800 spaces
• Hills Showground – 600 spaces
• Cherrybrook – 400 spaces

The closest station to the Sydney Royal Easter Show is Olympic Park. From the station it's a short walk to the Show's main entry gates.

Express and limited-stop trains will run to Olympic Park from Central and Western Line stations on weekends with some additional services on weekdays. Travel on trains is included in your Easter Show ticket.

Attendees are reminded the Show typically sees its largest crowds over the Easter Long Weekend so allow plenty of extra travel time when catching transport to and from the Show during this time, or consider visiting on a weekday instead.

Trackwork

Planned weekday and weekend trackwork will be taking place during the Easter Show and may affect how you travel to and from Olympic Park.

Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses will run on all nine routes each day of the Easter Show from the early morning until late at night. Buses run from the Northern Beaches, Inner West, Sutherland Shire, North Western Suburbs, Hills District and Southern Suburbs to Olympic Park and return each day of the Easter Show from 11 to 22 April 2025. 

Travel on Major Event Buses is included in your ticket to the Easter Show. Simply show your event ticket to the bus driver when boarding buses. 

Big crowds are expected over the Easter long weekend so, please allow extra travel time and be prepared to queue when boarding major event buses which will be in high demand. If queues are long, consider catching regular route buses to nearby train stations and continuing your trip to Olympic Park by train., at no extra cost Plan your trip using the Trip Planner. 

Service times: 

Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses will run each day of the Easter Show from early morning until around 3pm. 

Buses will run every 10 to 20 minutes each day, timetables vary on weekdays and weekends. Note: timetables vary depending on the route see detailed timings below, use the Trip Planner for up to date timetable information. 

Return buses leaving Olympic Park will run from 2pm until 10.30pm on weekdays and weekends. The last bus on each route will leave at 10.30pm.

On Fri 11 April, buses will run to a slightly different timetable due to it being the last day before school holidays.

On Mon 14 April only buses will comence departing Olympic Park from 1pm.

Routes 1A, 1B, 2 and 4 drop-off and pick-up from the Aquatic Terminal on Olympic Boulevarde near Herb Elliott Avenue.

Routes 5A, 5B, 6, 7 and 8 drop-off and pick-up from the Plaza Terminal on Olympic Boulevarde near Kevin Coombs Avenue, opposite Qudos Bank Arena.

From Olympic Park

• Return buses from Olympic Park will start leaving from 2pm on weekdays and weekends. The last bus on each route will leave at 10.30pm. 
• Note on Monday 14 April only, buses will begin departing Olympic Park from 1pm instead of 2pm. 

Major Event Bus Routes

Search your bus route number at routes and timetables for full timetable details and stop locations. Please note service times will be affected by traffic conditions on the day.

Regular route buses

Bus services will run to a regular timetable during the Easter Show and a changed timetable over the Easter Long Weekend. Travel on buses is included in your ticket to the Easter Show. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

The following regular route services run to Sydney Olympic Park:

• Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Sydney Olympic Park via Newington. 
• Route 526 runs between Strathfield and Rhodes Shopping Centre via Sydney Olympic Park precinct and wharf.  
• Route 533 runs between Sydney Olympic Park and Chatswood via Rhodes & North Ryde. 

Not all services run late on weeknight or weekends so make sure to plan ahead.

Bus diversions

From 5am Friday 11 April to 1am Wednesday 23 April 2025 Routes 525, 526, 533 and N81 services to and from Sydney Olympic Park will be diverting and using different stops due to road closures in the precinct for the Show. Stops on Dawn Fraser Ave will be missed.  

Some school services will also be affected on Friday 11 April. 

More detail will be available closer to the event.

Check signs at stops for alternative stop locations and allow extra travel time to walk to the alternative stops.

The closest wharf to the precinct is Sydney Olympic Park Wharf which is around a 40 minute walk (3.6km). There is a connecting 526 bus to the venue. Travel on ferries is included in your ticket to the Easter Show.

Sydney Ferries will run to a regular timetable during the Show but are very popular and may reach capacity especially on weekends, public holidays and when there are multiple events being held in the precinct.

Keep this in mind if you’re planning on catching an F3 Parramatta River service. Plan your trip ahead and allow plenty of extra travel time or consider the alternative public transport options available.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line

L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 6am to 11pm daily, and until midnight on Friday. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

Change at Central for express trains to Olympic Park. Travel on light rail is included in your ticket to the Easter Show.

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines

L2 Randwick Line light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford Line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using Trip Planner.

Change at Central for express trains to Olympic Park. Travel on light rail is included in your ticket to the Easter Show.

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line 

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner. 

Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with a train service towards Olympic Park from Parramatta Station.  

Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.

Taxis are available on Herb Elliott Ave near Australia Ave until 5pm and then on Murray Rose Ave (near the Coca-Cola Carnival gate) from 5pm to 11pm.

An accessible drop off and pick up zone will be located on Dawn Fraser Avenue between Edwin Flack Avenue and Olympic Boulevard, access via Edwin Flack Avenue.

If you’re using taxis or rideshare, remember that roads will be closed within the precinct. Allow plenty of extra travel time due to the increased traffic expected in the precinct during the Show, particularly on the long weekend.

There is no designated rideshare pick up location in the precinct. Demand for rideshare will be high and prices are likely to be surging. Avoid the traffic delays while roads are closed and consider catching a train or bus outside of the precinct instead to catch rideshare.

If you’re driving to the Show, travel with your group and allow plenty of extra time on the roads as traffic will be heavier than usual approaching Sydney Olympic Park, particularly over the Easter Long Weekend.  

Heavy traffic is expected on the M4 Mwy, Homebush Bay Dr, Concord Rd, Silverwater Rd, Centenary Drive, Lane Cove Rd and Epping Rd. 

If you must drive, it’s essential to pre-book parking online in advance. Parking in Olympic Park is likely to sell out each day, and particularly on the public holidays so get in early and secure your parking space now. 

Road closures

Road closures and changes to parklands will be in place within the Sydney Olympic Park Precinct before, during and after the Show for event set up and pack down. Check out the Sydney Olympic Park Authority interactive map for more details.

• Olympic Boulevard 100m north of Dawn Fraser Avenue adjacent to Cathy Freeman Park amenities, to 200m south of Edwin Flack Avenue outside Qudos Bank Arena. 
• Australia Avenue from Murray Rose Avenue to Kevin Coombs Avenue. 
• Showground Road from Murray Rose Avenue to Grand Parade. 
• Grand Parade from Olympic Boulevard to Australia Avenue. 

Friday 11 April to Tuesday 22 April 2025 inclusive: 

• Kevin Coombs Avenue from Australia Avenue to Pondage Link. 
• Marjorie Jackson Parkway from Wentworth Common Carpark to Australia Avenue (Checkpoint, authorised vehicles only).  
• No right turn available onto Holker Bus way from Marjorie Jackson Parkway.  
• No left turn available from Holker Busway onto Marjorie Jackson Parkway.  
• Olympic Boulevard from Kevin Coombs to Sarah Durack Avenue. 
• Showground Road from Murray Rose Avenue to Dawn Fraser Avenue. 
• Murray Rose Avenue from Showground Road to Gate 15 (fixed closure) and Park Street (Checkpoint, business access). 
• Dawn Fraser Avenue from Edwin Flack Avenue to Showground Road (Accessible drop-off / pick-up and Show drop-off / pick-up – Edwin Flack Avenue to Fig Grove).

Olympic Park car parks

If you must drive, it’s essential to pre-book parking online in advance. Parking in Olympic Park is likely to sell out particularly on weekends so get in early and secure your parking space now. 

Pre-book your parking ticket online ahead of time, available until 11:59pm the night before, unless sold out prior. Note P5 and P6 car parks are closed during the Easter Show. 

If you have pre-booked follow directions of staff and have your parking ticket ready to show at the car park entry. 

If you haven’t pre-booked and parking is sold out for the day you are attending you will need to catch public transport. 

Consider parking at a nearby station commuter car park and continuing your trip by train or bus to Olympic Park, at no extra cost. 

Train station commuter parking

A number of key train stations have large commuter car parks, so consider parking at a station near you then catching one of the extra trains to Olympic Park.

Stations with large car parks on the western line where you can change for a frequent direct train to Olympic Park include:

• T1 Western Line: Seven Hills, Schofields, Blacktown, Rooty Hill, St Marys and Penrith.

Stations with large car parks on other train lines that require one interchange by train to get to Olympic Park include:

• T1 North Shore & T9 Northern Line: Gordon, Thornleigh and Concord West 
• T2 Airport, Inner West & South Line: Padstow, Revesby, Fairfield, Warwick Farm, Glenfield, Holsworthy, Macarthur, Campbelltown and Leumeah.
• T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: Sutherland and Kogarah

Parking

There are approximately 400 accessible car spaces at Sydney Olympic Park. Make sure you display a valid accessible permit when parking in an accessible space on the day.

An accessible drop off and pick up zone is on Dawn Fraser Avenue between Edwin Flack Avenue and Olympic Boulevard, access via Edwin Flack Avenue.
