Ticketholders are encouraged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time.
Trains run regularly to Olympic Park from Lidcombe and the venue is a short walk from the station.
Please note that if you’re travelling from the west, planned weekend trackwork may affect your trip. Buses replace trains between Penrith, Richmond and Granville. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Granville and the City. Catch buses to Granville to connect with trains towards Lidcombe then Olympic Park. As well buses replace T6 Line trains between Bankstown and Lidcombe and T3 Line trains between Liverpool, Cabramatta and Lidcombe. Catch buses to Lidcombe to connect with trains to Olympic Park. Plan your trip and allow extra travel time.
You'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport to and from the event. Register your details online at Opal or via the Opal Travel app ahead of time.
It'll be busy in Olympic Park with multiple events taking place at nearby venues including a concert at Qudos Bank Arena each night, an NRL match on Saturday at Accor Stadium and AFL match at ENGIE Stadium on Sunday. Parking will be in high demand.
If you have to drive, travel with your group and pre-book your parking online – available until 11:59pm the night before the event.
Traffic may be heavier than usual on roads approaching the precinct as attendees travel to and from the event. You can find real-time updates on traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.
Opal
You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.
Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.
More ways to pay
If you have a contactless-enabled American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card, or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Available on all public transport, contactless payments are another way to pay on the Opal network. Adult Opal fare pricing applies and you will receive Opal benefits, including daily and weekly fare caps.
Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Tallawong Station and Chatswood Station.
The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services in both directions between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham. Metro services start running from early morning, every 5 to 10 minutes, until late at night.
Change at Epping or Central to connect with train services towards Lidcombe then Olympic Park.

The closest station to Qudos Bank Arena is Olympic Park.
Trains run regularly to Lidcombe where you can head to Platform Zero for a direct train to Olympic Park, running every 10 minutes until late.

Trackwork
Planned trackwork is taking place on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 June on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.
- T1 North Shore Line: On Saturday, from 8.30pm to 4am, buses replace trains between Berowra and Hornsby. Trains run between Hornsby and the City, some to a changed timetable.
- T1 Western Line: Buses replace trains between Penrith, Richmond and Granville. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Granville and the City. Buses also run between some T1 Western Line stations and Tallawong. Frequent metro services run between Tallawong and the City. Sunday from 6.20am to 10.30am, some trains make an extra stop at Burwood.
- T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: From 10pm Saturday to 6am Sunday, trains run to a reduced frequency and to a changed timetable and stopping pattern, making an extra stop at Olympic Park. On Sunday 22 June, from 6.20am to 10.30am, buses replace Inner West trains between Ashfield and Central. Leppington trains make extra stops at Homebush and Croydon. Some T1 trains make an extra stop at Burwood.
- T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: From 10pm Saturday to 6am Sunday, trains run between Liverpool and Lidcombe, and between Homebush and the City only. T2 trains stop at Flemington. You may need to change trains to continue your journey. On Sunday, from 6.20am to 10.30am, buses replace Inner West trains between Ashfield and Central. Trains run to a changed timetable between Liverpool and Lidcombe. Change trains at Lidcombe to continue your journey. Limited stop trains continue to run between Lidcombe and Central.
- T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: Buses replace trains between Sydenham, Central and Bondi Junction. Trackwork buses do not leave from Martin Place Station. Trains run to a changed timetable between Waterfall or Cronulla and Sydenham only. Change at Wolli Creek for trains to the City Circle via the Airport, Sydenham for metro services to Central, Martin Place or Gadigal (Town Hall), or buses to St Peters, Erskineville or Redfern, Central for buses to Kings Cross and Edgecliff, or metro services to Martin Place and Town Hall for express buses to Bondi Junction. On Saturday from 4am to 11.30am, buses replace trains between Waterfall and Sutherland. Trains run between Cronulla, Sutherland and Sydenham only.
- T5 Cumberland Line: Buses replace trains between Richmond and Granville. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Granville.
- T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line: Buses replace trains between Bankstown and Lidcombe.
- T8 Airport & South Line: The 06:40 Central to Macarthur train will run up to 6 minutes earlier than the normal timetable from Glenfield to Macarthur.
- Blue Mountains Line: Buses replace trains between Penrith and Granville. Trains from Penrith to Blue Mountains Line stations run up to 45 minutes later than the normal timetable. Bathurst trains continue to run between Bathurst and Central, to a changed timetable. If you are travelling to Lithgow to connect with NSW TrainLink Regional Coaches, please call 132 232 to confirm departure times. From 9.15pm Saturday to 7.30am Sunday, buses replace trains between Springwood and Granville. Bathurst trains continue to run between Bathurst and Central, to a changed timetable.
- Central Coast & Newcastle Line: On Saturday 21 June, from 8.35pm to 4am, buses replace trains between Wyong and Hornsby. Trains run to a changed timetable between Newcastle Interchange and Wyong. T1 and T9 trains run between Hornsby and the City, some to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.
- South Coast Line: Trains run to a changed timetable between South Coast Line stations and Hurstville only. Change trains at Hurstville to continue your journey. Trackwork also affects T4 trains. Buses replace trains between Sydenham, Central and Bondi Junction. On Saturday, from 3am to 11am, buses replace trains between Dapto, Port Kembla and Sutherland. Trains run to a changed timetable between Bomaderry, Kiama and Dapto, and T4 Illawarra trains run between Sutherland and Sydenham. On Sunday, from 2.30am to 9.50am, buses replace trains between Bomaderry and Wollongong. Trains run between Port Kembla, Wollongong and Hurstville, some to a changed timetable. The 02:39 Kiama to Bondi Junction service will run up to 17 minutes earlier than the normal timetable from Kiama to Coniston, then run to the normal timetable from Wollongong to Hurstville.

- Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Strathfield via Sydney Olympic Park.
- Route 526 runs from the Sydney Olympic Park Ferry Wharf to Olympic Park.
- Route 533 runs from Sydney Olympic Park to Chatswood via Rhodes & North Ryde.

The closest wharf to Sydney Showground is Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. There is a connecting 526 bus to the venue or alternatively it is approximately a 40-minute walk (3.6km) from the wharf.
F3 Parramatta River services run regularly to Olympic Park, but services are very popular and may reach capacity. Keep this in mind if you’re planning on catching an F3 Parramatta River service. Plan your trip and allow plenty of extra travel time or consider the alternative public transport options available.

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines
L2 Randwick Line light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford Line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with a train service towards Lidcombe then Olympic Park from Parramatta Station.
Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.

To get to your carpark and avoid the heavy traffic congestion expected at the Homebush Bay Drive roundabout, use Silverwater Road, Holker Street and Hill Road.

Visit Sydney Olympic Park – Parking to secure your parking space ahead of the event, available until 11:59pm the night before the event unless sold out prior. A flat rate $35 parking fee will apply.
If you have pre-booked a space, follow the directions of staff and have your parking ticket ready to show at the car park entry. Carpool with your group and allow plenty of additional travel time. Use Silverwater Road, Holker Street and Hill Road to get to your car park and avoid the heavy traffic congestion expected at the Homebush Bay Drive roundabout.
If you haven’t pre-booked, follow the variable message signs within Sydney Olympic Park to the best available casual parking.
Traffic delays are expected after the event as attendees leave the precinct.
