Important Travel Advice
Sydney Olympic Park will be busy with tens of thousands of music fans attending the Burna Boy concert as well as the Fridayz Live show at nearby ENGIE stadium.
Attendees are encouraged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time.
Trains run regularly to Olympic Park from Lidcombe and the venue is a short walk from the station.
Please note due to planned trackwork, Metro services are not running on the 1-2 November weekend. Use T1 North Shore or T9 Northern Line trains instead. Buses replace Inner West trains between Strathfield and Central. Express trains continue to run. Plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
You'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport to and from the event. Register your details online at Opal or via the Opal Travel app ahead of time.
If you have to drive, travel with your group and pre-book your parking online – available until 11:59pm the night before the event.
Traffic may be heavier than usual on roads approaching the precinct as attendees travel to and from the show during the busy Friday evening peak. You can find real-time updates on traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.
Opal
You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.
Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.
More ways to pay
If you have a contactless-enabled American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card, or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Available on all public transport, contactless payments are another way to pay on the Opal network. Adult Opal fare pricing applies and you will receive Opal benefits, including daily and weekly fare caps.
Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Tallawong Station and Chatswood Station.
Trackwork weekend 1-2 November:
Due to planned weekend trackwork, Metro services will not run along the entire line between Tallawong and Sydenham.
Buses replace services between Tallawong and Chatswood only. Trackwork also affects trains in the City. For travel between Chatswood and Sydenham use T1 trains between Chatswood and Wynyard or T9 trains between Epping and Central, T4 trains between Martin Place and Sydenham and L2 or L3 light rail services between Wynyard and Central. For travel to and from Waterloo use local buses or trains from Redfern. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

The closest station to Qudos Bank Arena is Olympic Park.
Trains run regularly to Lidcombe where you can head to Platform Zero for a direct train to Olympic Park, running every 10 minutes until 12.10am.

Trackwork
Planned trackwork is taking place on Saturday 1 - Sunday 2 November on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.
- M1 Metro Line: Metro services do not run between Tallawong and Sydenham. Buses replace services between Tallawong and Chatswood only. Trackwork also affects trains in the City. For travel between Chatswood and Sydenham use: T1 trains between Chatswood and Wynyard or T9 trains between Epping and Central, T4 trains between Martin Place and Sydenham, and L2 or L3 light rail services between Wynyard and Central. For travel to and from Waterloo use local buses or trains from Redfern.
- City Circle: Trains do not run on the City Circle, or between Central and Wynyard. For travel around the City use T4 trains, light rail or local buses. - T1 Western Line: Buses replace trains between Richmond and Riverstone. Trains run to a changed timetable between Riverstone and Liverpool. Change at Parramatta for trains towards the City. Penrith trains run to a changed timetable between Penrith and Central, platforms 1-14 only, making extra stops at Homebush, Flemington and Burwood. Trackwork on the City Circle may also affect how you travel. Change at Central for light rail or local buses to continue your journey.
- T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: Buses replace Inner West trains between Strathfield and Central. Express trains continue to run. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Olympic Park via Granville, or between Leppington and Lidcombe via Regents Park. Trackwork on the City Circle may also affect how you travel. Change at Central for light rail or local buses to continue your journey.
- T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: Buses replace Inner West trains between Strathfield and Central. Express trains continue to run. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Lidcombe via Regents Park. Change trains at Lidcombe to continue your journey. Trackwork on the City Circle may also affect how you travel. Change at Central for light rail or local buses to continue your journey.
- T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: All Cronulla and some Waterfall trains make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville. Trackwork on the City Circle may also affect how you travel. Metro services do not run between Sydenham and Tallawong.
- T5 Cumberland Line: Buses replace trains between Richmond and Riverstone. Trains run to a changed timetable between Riverstone and Liverpool.
- T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and reduced frequency, every 30 minutes.
- T8 Airport & South Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern. You may need to change trains to continue your journey. Most trains run to a changed timetable between Macarthur and Sydenham, or between Revesby and Central via the Airport Change at: Revesby for trains to Airport stations or change at Sydenham for T4 trains towards Bondi Junction. Metro services do not run. Early morning and late-night trains run between Macarthur and Central via the Airport. T8 trains do not run between Sydenham and the City. T4 trains run between Sydenham and Bondi Junction, making extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville.
- T9 Northern Line: Trains run to a changed timetable between Hornsby and Central, platforms 1-14 only. Daily until 8am, T9 trains run to a reduced frequency, every 30 minutes. Metro and City Circle trackwork may also affect how you travel: Metro services do not run between Tallawong and Sydenham. Buses replace services between Tallawong and Chatswood only. Trains do not run on the City Circle or between Central and Wynyard. Change at Central for light rail or local buses to continue your journey.
- Central Coast & Newcastle Line: Metro trackwork may affect how you travel. Metro services do not run between Tallawong and Sydenham. Buses replace services between Tallawong and Chatswood..Trackwork in the City may also affect how you travel. For travel around the City use T4 trains, light rail or local buses. On Saturday, from 5.30am to 11am, at Hawkesbury River and Cowan, all trains leave from platform 2. From 7am to 10.30am, trains towards Hornsby will not stop at Cowan. Buses run from Hawkesbury River to Cowan, and from Cowan to Berowra, in that direction only. Change at Hawkesbury River for a bus to Cowan. From Cowan, catch a bus to Berowra then change for a train to continue your journey. Trains towards Gosford continue to stop at Cowan. On Sunday, from 6am to 11am, trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Cowan and Hawkesbury River. At Cowan and Hawkesbury River, all trains leave from platform 1.
- Hunter Line: On Sunday, the 13:11 Newcastle Interchange to Dungog service will leave Newcastle Interchange at 13:17 and run 6 minutes later than the normal timetable.
- South Coast Line: On Sunday from 9am to 6pm, buses replace trains from Port Kembla to Wollongong. From 10am to 6.30pm, buses replace trains from Wollongong to Port Kembla. Trains run to a changed timetable between Wollongong, Thirroul and Bondi Junction.

The following Sydney buses services run to Olympic Park:
- Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Sydney Olympic Park via Newington.
- Route 526 runs between Strathfield and Rhodes Shopping Centre via Sydney Olympic Park precinct and wharf.
- Route 533 runs from Sydney Olympic Park to Chatswood via Rhodes & North Ryde.

The closest wharf to Qudos Bank Arena is Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. There is a connecting 526 bus to the venue or alternatively it is approximately a 40-minute walk (3.6km) from the wharf.
F3 Parramatta River services run regularly to Olympic Park but services are popular and may reach capacity. Keep this in mind if you're planning on catching an F3 Parramatta River service. Plan your trip and allow plenty of extra travel time or consider the alternative public transport options available.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line
L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using Trip Planner.
Partial Line closure for planned maintenance 1-7 November
- Due to planned maintenance L1 Dulwich Hill Line services will not run between Central Grand Concourse and Convention from Saturday 1 to Friday 7 November
- Daily from 5am to 1am, L1 replacement bus services will stop at Central Grand Concourse, Convention and The Star with a frequency of 15-20 minutes
- Replacement buses will not stop at Capital Square, Paddy's Markets or Exhibition Centre. Use local buses or walk to Central Grand Concourse or Convention to continue your journey.
- L1 light rail services will continue to run between Convention and Dulwich Hill

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines
L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Change at Central for trains to Lidcombe then Olympic Park.
From 7am to 7pm, additional L2 and L3 light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick or Junior Kingsford.
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using Trip Planner.
Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with a train service towards Olympic Park from Parramatta Station.
Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.

Traffic may be heavier than usual on roads approaching Sydney Olympic Park as attendees travel to and from the show. Travel with your group and allow extra travel time on the M4, Parramatta Road, Homebush Bay Drive and Concord Road.
If you have to drive, carpool with your group, Pre-book your parking ahead of time to secure a space – available until 11:59pm the night before the event unless sold out prior.
To get to your carpark and avoid the heavy traffic congestion expected at the Homebush Bay Drive roundabout, use Silverwater Road, Holker Street and Hill Road.

Visit Sydney Olympic Park - Parking to secure your parking space ahead of the event. A flat rate $35 parking fee will apply.
If you have pre-booked a space, follow the directions of staff and have your parking ticket ready to show at the car park entry.
Carpool with your group and allow plenty of additional travel time. Use Silverwater Road, Holker Street and Hill Road to get to your car park and avoid the heavy traffic congestion expected at the Homebush Bay Drive roundabout.
If you haven’t pre-booked, follow the variable message signs within Sydney Olympic Park to the best available casual parking.
Traffic delays are expected after the event as attendees leave the precinct.
