Match ticket entitlements

Valid pre-purchased tickets to 2026 Sydney Swans season home games at the Sydney Cricket Ground include travel to and from Moore Park on the following transport services, just show your event ticket or members card to transport staff when boarding:

• Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations)
• Sydney Metro services
• Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan bus services
• Sydney, Parramatta and Newcastle Light Rail services
• Sydney and Newcastle Ferries

Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card or contactless payment method, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your match ticket is valid on the modes of public transport listed above until 4am the following day.

Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.

Transport Park&Ride Car Parks 

Park for free when you catch public transport. Transport Park&Ride provides up to 18 hours of free parking each day. All you have to do is complete a public transport trip. Located close to public transport hubs, Park&Ride car parks help you connect more easily to train, bus and ferry services. 

Tickets to the 2026 Sydney Swans season home games at the Sydney Cricket Ground include travel on transport and free Park&Ride parking. When leaving the car park use the intercom button at the exit gate to speak with the operator and show your event ticket.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city. 

The M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham from early morning until late.

Change at Central to connect with light rail services towards Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street. 

M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line planned evening trackwork – Sunday 3 to Wednesday 6 May

• On Sunday from 9.50pm, metro services do not run between Central and Sydenham. Services run between Tallawong and Martin Place, and between Martin Place and Central only.
• Change at Martin Place for metro services towards Tallawong or Central, or T4 trains to Sydenham.
• For travel to and from Waterloo use local buses or trains from Redfern.
• The last metro service leaves Sydenham at 21:44, Martin Place at 21:53, arriving Tallawong at 22:42.
• The last metro service to Sydenham leaves Tallawong at 21:00, Martin Place at 21:48, arriving Sydenham at 21:58.

The closest stations to the SCG are Central and Bondi Junction.

From Central, catch a light rail service to Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street. Alternatively, consider walking between Central and Moore Park via Devonshire St/Foveaux St and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway. See the Moore Park transport and walking route map (pdf 677KB) to find your way.

From Bondi Junction, catch one of the many regular route buses from the Interchange to Oxford Street to get within walking distance of the stadium.

Trackwork 

Planned trackwork is taking place on Sunday 3 May on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner. 

• M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line: From 9.50pm, metro services do not run between Central and Sydenham. Services run between Tallawong and Martin Place, and between Martin Place and Central only. Change at Martin Place for metro services towards Tallawong or Central, or T4 trains to Sydenham. For travel to and from Waterloo use local buses or trains from Redfern. The last metro service leaves Sydenham at 21:44, Martin Place at 21:53, arriving Tallawong at 22:42. • T1 Western Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between: Richmond and Fairfield – change at Parramatta for trains towards the City, and Penrith and the City, making extra stops at Flemington and Burwood.
• T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: Buses replace trains between Macarthur, Glenfield and Fairfield. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between: Leppington and the City via the Airport, Fairfield and Richmond – change at Parramatta for trains towards the City via Granville and Homebush or Ashfield and the City.
• T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: Buses replace trains between Liverpool and Lidcombe. Trains run between Lidcombe and the City, to a changed timetable and frequency. Inner West trains run between Homebush or Ashfield and the City. You may need to change trains to continue your journey.
• T5 Cumberland Line: Buses replace trains between Glenfield and Fairfield. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Glenfield, and between Fairfield and Schofields or Richmond.
• T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line: Buses replace trains between Bankstown and Lidcombe. Buses also replace T3 trains between Liverpool and Lidcombe. Change at: Lidcombe for T1 trains towards City or Parramatta, Regents Park for T3 buses towards Liverpool or Bankstown for Southwest Link bus services towards Sydenham.
• T8 Airport & South Line: Buses replace trains between Macarthur, Glenfield and Fairfield. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington or Revesby and the City via the Airport. T8 trains continue to run between Sydenham and the City Circle, some to a changed timetable.
• Blue Mountains Line: Trains run between Blue Mountains Line stations and Blacktown only. Use T1 Western Line trains between Blacktown and the City. Trains from Blacktown to Blue Mountain Line stations run 30 minutes later than the normal timetable.
• Central Coast & Newcastle Line: Most trains run between Central Coast & Newcastle Line stations and Strathfield only. Change at Epping for metro services to the City or change trains at Strathfield to continue your journey.
• South Coast Line: From 2.30am to 12pm, buses replace trains between Bomaderry, Port Kembla and Wollongong. Trains run between Wollongong and Bondi Junction, some to a changed timetable. The 02:39 Kiama to Bondi Junction service will run up to 20 minutes earlier than the normal timetable from Kiama to Coniston, then run to the normal timetable from Wollongong to Bondi Junction.
• Southern Highlands Line: Buses replace trains between Goulburn, Moss Vale and Glenfield. You may need to change buses to continue your journey. T8 Airport & South Line trains run between Glenfield and the City via the Airport, to a changed timetable.

A number of regular route bus services stops along Anzac Parade near the precinct, including routes 339, 373, 374 and 396. From Bondi Junction Interchange, catch routes 333, 352 or 440 to Oxford Street or catch route 355 buses to Lang Road to get within short walking distance of the stadium.   

After the match, express shuttle buses will also run from Moore Park to Central to provide additional transport capacity for fans. 

Keep in mind that buses and light rail services will be busy. Consider walking between Central and Moore Park via Devonshire Street and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway to minimise wait times for transport services. See the Moore Park walking route map (pdf 677KB) to find your way.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line

L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner. 

From Central, change for a light rail service on the L2 or L3 Line to Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street.   

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines

L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner. 

Catch L2 or L3 light rail services to Moore Park. The Moore Park stop is located along Anzac Parade just south of the Sydney Cricket Ground. 

Additional light rail services will run before and after the game. Queues are expected, so be patient and allow plenty of extra time, particularly when leaving the stadium. L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with a train service to Central from Parramatta Station. From Central, catch a L2 or L3 Line service to Moore Park. The Moore Park stop is located along Anzac Parade just south of the Sydney Cricket Ground. 

Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.

With more than 30,000 footy fans expected to attend, along with multiple The Wiggles shows at neighbouring Hordern Pavilion, AFL ticketholders are urged to catch public transport and leave the car at home to avoid significant traffic delays and high demand for parking.   

Major roads in the Sydney CBD will also be closed between 4am and 12.30pm for the annual Runaway Sydney Half Marathon. Fans travelling from the north for the game should expect delays southbound approaching the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Tunnel while the Cahill Expressway is closed.  

If you must drive, carpool with your group and expect delays on roads approaching the precinct. You will need to arrive earlier than usual to secure parking. Grass car parks on Driver Avenue will open at 12.15 and parking is available at the Entertainment Quarter 24 hours a day. Limited parking will also be available at Sydney Boys and Sydney Girls high schools, and at Moore Park Golf Course.   

Have a back-up plan in case car parks are full when you arrive. With multiple other events taking place at the Entertainment Quarter and in the CBD throughout the day, car parks are expected to reach capacity early. Consider parking at a station near you and continuing your trip to Moore Park on public transport.  

If you’re driving to Moore Park from the North Shore, the Cahill Expressway Overpass and other CBD roads will be closed until 12.30pm for the Runaway Sydney Half Marathon. Changed traffic conditions   

• Driver Avenue will be partially closed outside the stadium from 11.15am and will reopen once crowds have safely cleared the area.
• No through-traffic will be available on Driver Avenue, however access to EP2 Kippax car park will be maintained via Moore Park Road and access to EP3 grass car park and drop-off areas will be maintained from Lang Road. Grass car parks open from 12.15pm.

The closest taxi rank is located on Errol Flynn Boulevard (near the Hordern Pavilion).  

If you’re using rideshare to get to the game, use Errol Flynn Boulevard or Driver Avenue for drop off locations.  

After the game, there may be restrictions on rideshare pick-up locations due to heavy traffic in the area. Select a pick-up location away from the stadium.

Moore Park Car Parks

Parking will be in high demand and will fill quickly. Carpool with your group and aim to arrive early to secure a parking space. 

Have a back-up plan in case car parks are full when you arrive. With multiple other events taking place at the Entertainment Quarter and in the CBD throughout the day, car parks are expected to reach capacity early. Consider parking at a station near you and continuing your trip to Moore Park on public transport.  

• Entertainment Quarter Wilson car park: Open 24 hours. Flat rate event parking fees apply. Entry via Errol Flynn Boulevard from Lang Road.
• Kippax Park (EP2) grass car park (limited capacity due to upgrade works): Open from 12.15pm Entry via the northern end of Driver Ave from Moore Park Road. 
• Showground Field (EP3) grass car park: Open from 12.15pm Cashless, flat rate event parking fees apply. Entry on Driver Avenue via Lang Road.
• Sydney Boys High School and Sydney Girls High School: Car Park open from around 12.15pm Cashless, flat rate event parking fees apply. Entry via Cleveland Street. Use the Anzac Parade pedestrian bridge to get to and from the SCG.
• Moore Park Golf Course: flat rate event parking fees apply. Entry via Cleveland Street.

Special Event Clearways

Special event clearways will be in place on roads in Moore Park and surrounding areas from 11am to 8pm on sections of Albion Street, Fitzroy Street, Lang Road and Moore Park Road, and from 6am to 8pm on sections of Cleveland Street.  

From 6am to 8pm 

• Cleveland Street between South Dowling Street and City Road (southern side)
• Cleveland Street between Abercrombie Street and South Dowling Street (northern side) 

From 11am to 8pm 

• Albion Street between Bourke Street and Flinders Street (both sides)
• Fitzroy Street between South Dowling Street and Bourke Street (northern side)
• Lang Road between Anzac Parade and Errol Flynn Boulevard (northern side)
• Moore Park Road between Flinders Street and Greens Road (northern side

Clearways are strict no-parking zones for all vehicle types and apply even to local residents and Mobility Scheme Permit holders. Check signs carefully as vehicles left in clearways will be towed and a fee applies. If your vehicle is towed, you can search your vehicle registration at the Find My Car website to find its new location, or alternatively call 132 701 to speak to an operator.
