Sydney football fans can come together at the free live site in Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour to watch the 2026 FIFA World Cup men's matches live on the big screen. This free public event is screening all the key Socceroo matches, plus the quarter finals right through to the big final.
Tumbalong Park will open 1 hour before the game start times listed below.
- Sunday 14 June: Australia vs Türkiye, kick off 2pm AEST
- Saturday 20 June: USA v Australia, kick off 5am AEST
- Friday 26 June: Paraguay v Australia, kick off 12pm AEST
- Saturday 4 July: Australia v Egypt, kick off 4am AEST
- Friday 10 July: France v Morocco quarter-final, kick off 6am AEST
- Saturday 11 July: Spain v Belgium quarter-final, kick off 5am AEST
- Sunday 12 July: Norway v England quarter-final, kick off 7am AEST
- Sunday 12 July: Argentina v Switzerland quarter-final, kick off 11am AEST
- Wednesday 15 July: France v Spain Semi-final, kick off 5am AEST
- Thursday 16 July: England v Argentina Semi-final, kick off 5am AEST

Trains, metro, buses and light rail services run regularly to Town Hall, Gadigal and Central, which are within short walking distance of Tumbalong Park at the southern end of Darling Harbour. The closest light rail stops are Paddy’s Markets and Exhibition Centre.
Note L2 and L3 light rail services will not run through the CBD or along the entire line due to planned weekend maintenance on Sat 18 and Sun 19 July, use trains instead.
You'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport to and from the event. Register your details online at Opal or via the Opal Travel app ahead of time.

Opal
You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.
Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city.
The M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services in both directions between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham running from early morning until late.
Alight at Gadigal, exiting via Bathurst St then continue on foot down to Darling Harbour.
Alternatively, alight at Central and continue on foot to Tumbalong Park or connect with L1 light rail services to Exhibition Centre leaving from Central Grand Concourse.
Trackwork – Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 July
- Metro services will not run between Tallawong and Sydenham.
- Buses replace services between Tallawong and Chatswood only. Use trains between Epping or Chatswood, the City and Sydenham.
- For travel to and from Waterloo use local buses or trains from Redfern.
- Note L2 and L3 light rail services will also not run through the CBD or along the entire line due to planned weekend maintenance.

The best station for connections to Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour is Central. From Central, walk to Tumbalong Park or catch L1 Light rail services leaving from the Grand Concourse to the Exhibition Centre stop which is directly opposite the venue.

Wednesday 15 & Thursday 16 July
- T1 Western Line: Nightly from 9.40pm to 1.30am, Penrith trains run to a changed timetable and make extra stops at some stations between Parramatta and Ashfield.
- T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: Nightly from 9.40pm to 1.30am, Inner West trains do not run. T1 Western or T9 Northern Line trains make extra stops at some stations between Parramatta and Central, to a changed timetable. Trains run between Leppington and Olympic Park. Change trains at Lidcombe to continue your journey towards the City. You will need to change trains if travelling to Museum, St James or Circular Quay.
- T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: Nightly from 9.40pm to 1.30am, Inner West trains do not run. T1 Western or T9 Northern Line trains make extra stops at some stations between Lidcombe and Central, to a changed timetable. Trains run between Liverpool and Lidcombe only. Change trains at Lidcombe to continue your journey. You will need to change trains if travelling to Museum, St James or Circular Quay.
- T5 Cumberland Line: On Wednesday from 11.50pm to 1.30am, trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond or Leppington and Olympic Park. Some trains start and end at Granville. You may need to change trains at Granville to continue your journey.
- T8 Airport & South Line: Nightly from 9.40pm to 1.30am, trains between Sydenham and the City Circle run to a changed timetable.
- T9 Northern Line: Nightly from 9.40pm to 1.30am, trains run to a changed timetable and stop at all stations between Ashfield and Macdonaldtown.
- Central Coast & Newcastle Line: On Thursday and Friday, buses replace the 01:47 Central to Newcastle Interchange service from Central to Hornsby. Replacement buses leave Central at 01:21, 26 minutes earlier than the normal train timetable.
- South Coast Line: Nightly from 10pm to 1.30am, some trains run between South Coast Line stations and the City Circle, to a changed timetable. On Thursday from 9.20am to 2.10pm, buses replace trains between Port Kembla and Wollongong. Buses towards Wollongong may leave stations up to 15 minutes earlier than the normal train timetable.
- Southern Highlands Line: On Wednesday from 6pm to 10.30pm, buses replace trains between Goulburn and Moss Vale. Trains run between Moss Vale and Campbelltown to the normal timetable.
Weekend - Sunday 19 July
- M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line: Metro services do not run between Tallawong and Sydenham. Buses replace services between Tallawong and Chatswood only.
- T1 Western Line: Buses replace trains between Penrith, Richmond and Granville. Trains run to a changed timetable between Granville and the City.

- T8 Airport & South Line: From 8.40am to 3pm, buses replace the all-stations trains between Wolli Creek and Revesby. Express trains continue to run but do not stop at stations between Padstow and Turrella.
- Blue Mountains Line: Buses replace trains between Penrith and Granville. T1 Western Line trains run between Granville and the City. Trains from Penrith to Blue Mountains Line stations run up to 45 minutes later than the normal timetable. Most Bathurst trains run between Bathurst and Lithgow only, some to a changed timetable.
- South Coast Line: Buses replace trains between Bomaderry and Wollongong. Trains run between Port Kembla, Wollongong and Bondi Junction, some to a changed timetable.

Catch a ferry to Circular Quay where you can change for light rail or trains to Town Hall or Central and continue on foot to Tumbalong Park.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line
L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Use the Trip Planner to plan your trip.
Catch light rail services to the Exhibition Centre stop which is located across from Tumbalong Park.
L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines
L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). From Central continue on foot or change for L1 Light rail services leaving from Central Grand Concourse to Exhibition Centre which is located across from Tumbalong Park.
Alternatively, alight at Haymarket or Chinatown stops and walk to the park in Darling Harbour.
On Saturday 18 & Sunday 19 July, L2 and L3 light rail services will not run along the entire lines due to planned maintenance. Passengers should use trains between Circular Quay and Central. Buses replace light rail services between Central Chalmers Street and Junior Kingsford or Randwick.
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with a train service to Central from Parramatta Station.
From Central continue on foot or change for L1 Light rail services leaving from Central Grand Concourse to Exhibition Centre which is located across from Tumbalong Park.
Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.

Traffic may be heavier than usual on roads approaching Darling Harbour including Harbour St, Darling Drive and Pier St. If you have to drive or are using taxis or rideshare, allow additional travel time.
Pedestrians are reminded to exercise caution around the tram tracks between the CBD and South East and cross at designated pedestrian crossings.
