Event information
Large crowds are expected to attend the annual Crows Nest Fest on Sunday 18 October. Public transport is the best way to get to the event with trains, metro and buses running regularly to Crows Nest.
The festival will be held on Willoughby Road, which is a short walk from Crows Nest metro station and St Leonards train station. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
Remember, you'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport to and from the event. Register your details online at Opal or via the Opal Travel app ahead of time.
Roads in the area will be closed to safely facilitate the event. Traffic is expected to be heavier on detour routes and on roads approaching the area. Buses will be diverting from their regular routes during closures.
If you’re driving, parking is available at a number of public car parks in the area, along with limited local street parking. Opal
You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.
Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city.
The M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line operates turn up-and-go metro services in both directions between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham.
The event is a short walk from Crows Nest station on the M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Metro Line.
Exit via Clarke St to reach the festival.

The closest station to the event is St Leonards on the T1 North Shore Line and T9 Northern Line. The event is a short walk from the station.
Alternatively, change at Central to connect with a metro service to Crows Nest station, where the event is directly at the Clarke St exit.
Trackwork
Planned weekend trackwork is taking place on Sunday 18 October on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.
- T1 Western Line: Buses replace trains between Parramatta and Lidcombe. Trains run to a changed timetable between Penrith or Richmond and Parramatta only. Change at Parramatta for buses towards Lidcombe, then take a train from Lidcombe to the City.
- T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: Buses replace trains between Cabramatta and Parramatta. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and the City via Regents Park. For travel between stations Merrylands to Canley Vale and the City, take a bus to Cabramatta then change for a direct train to the City.
- T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and the City. You may need to change trains if travelling to Inner West stations.
- T5 Cumberland Line: Buses replace trains between Parramatta and Cabramatta. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and the City via Regents Park, and between Richmond and Parramatta
- T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Bankstown and Central, continuing to T1 North Shore Line stations.
- Blue Mountains Line: Trains run between Blue Mountains Line stations and Blacktown only due to trackwork between Parramatta and Lidcombe. T1 Western Line trains run between Penrith, Blacktown and Parramatta only. Buses replace trains between Parramatta and Lidcombe. Change at Parramatta for buses towards Lidcombe, then take a train from Lidcombe to the City. Trains from Blacktown to Blue Mountains Line stations run 30 minutes later than the normal timetable.

Bus diversions
Route buses 115 and 263 will be diverting around a section of Willoughby Road and using temporary stops from 12:01am to 11pm on Sunday 18 October while roads are closed for the event.
Bus customers are encouraged to plan ahead using the Trip Planner, allow extra travel time and be patient as delays are expected

The closest wharves at McMahons Point or Milsons Point, where you can connect with route buses towards Crows Nest.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line
L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
At Central, change for a metro service to Crows Nest.
L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines
L2 Randwick Line light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford Line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). At Central, change for a metro service to Crows Nest.
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using Trip Planner.
Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with a train service to St Leonards on the T1 North Shore Line. Alternatively, connect with a train to Central where you can join metro services to Crows Nest.
Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.

- Willoughby Road (one-way) closed from Burlington Street to Falcon Street
- Clarke Street between Willoughby Road and Oxley Street
- Clarke Lane between Hume Street and Oxley Street
- Burlington Street between Willoughby Road and Willoughby Lane
- Holtermann Street between Willoughby Road and Zig Zag Lane
- Hume Street between Pacific Highway and Pole Lane
- Hume Lane between Clarke Lane and Pole Lane
- Zig Zag Lane closed near Burlington Street

Car parking spaces will fill early so attendees are encouraged to leave the car at home and to catch public transport. If you have to drive, allow plenty of extra travel time and plan to arrive early to secure a car space.
Limited local street parking is available in roads surrounding the event. Public parking is available at the below locations, a parking fee may apply:
- Holtermann Street car park: open from 7am to 11pm, entry from Holtermann Street.
- Hume Street car park: open from 7am to 11pm, entry from Pole Lane
- Nicholson Street car park: open from 7am to 11pm, entry from Nicholson Street
- Alexander Street car park: open from 7am to 11pm, entry from Nicholson Street
