Important Travel Advice

Fans are encouraged to plan ahead and consider all the available travel options.

Match tickets include travel on all modes of public transport. Simply show your ticket to transport staff when boarding services.

Trains and buses run regularly to Parramatta Station, where you can connect with light rail services from Parramatta Square to the Prince Alfred Square stop and walk to CommBank Stadium via Victoria Road. Alternatively, it's a 15-minute walk from the station. Some buses also make stops outside the stadium on O’Connell Street. See the CommBank Stadium transport and walking route map (pdf 3.9MB) to find your way.

Light rail services will not run between Parramatta Square and Westmead from 5pm to 11.30pm on Saturday while roads are closed for the festival. Buses will replace services between Westmead and Parramatta Square. Trams continue to run between Parramatta Square and Carlingford as normal. 

Please note Parramatta will be busy on Saturday as crowds attend the Parramatta Lanes festival at the same time. Roads will be closed, and Eat Street car park will also be closed. Allow extra travel time, you can find real-time updates on traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.  

Traffic will also be heavy following the match as everyone leaves car parks at the same time. Be patient and follow the directions of traffic controllers and Police. If you’re travelling home by taxi or rideshare, choose a pick-up location away from the stadium to avoid traffic delays.  

Match Ticket Entitlements

Valid pre-purchased tickets to Western Sydney Wanderers 2026/27 season home games at CommBank Stadium includes travel to and from CommBank Stadium on the following transport services, just show your event ticket to transport staff when boarding:

  • Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations)
  • Sydney Metro services
  • Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan buses
  • Sydney, Parramatta and Newcastle Light Rail services
  • Sydney and Newcastle Ferries 

Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card or contactless payment method, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your event ticket is valid on the modes of public transport listed above until 4am the following day.

Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.

Transport Park&Ride Car Parks

Park for free when you catch public transport. Transport Park&Ride provides up to 18 hours of free parking each day. All you have to do is complete a public transport trip. Located close to public transport hubs, Park&Ride car parks help you connect more easily to train, bus and ferry services. 

Tickets to Western Sydney Wanderers 2026/27 season home games at CommBank Stadium include travel on transport and free Park&Ride parking. When leaving the car park use the intercom button at the exit gate to speak with the operator and show your event ticket.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city. 

The M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham from early morning until late. 

Change at Chatswood or Central for a train service to Parramatta. Alternatively change at Epping for a bus, or for a train service to Strathfield to connect with trains to Parramatta.   

From Parramatta you can connect with light rail services from Parramatta Square to Prince Alfred Square stop and walk to CommBank Stadium via Victoria Rd. See the CommBank Stadium transport and walking route map (pdf 3.9MB) to find your way.

The closest station to CommBank Stadium is Parramatta.

Trackwork

Planned trackwork is taking place on Saturday 24 October on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.

  • City Circle: Trains do not run on the City Circle, or between Central and Wynyard. For travel in the City use T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line trains, metro, light rail, local buses or walk. Trackwork also affects trains on other lines
  • T1 North Shore Line: Trains run to a changed timetable between Hornsby and Wynyard only, due to City Circle trackwork. Use metro services between Chatswood and the City or change at Wynyard for light rail or local bus services. Trains do not run between Wynyard and Central, or on the City Circle. From 7.30am to 8pm, buses replace trains between Hornsby and Gordon. Trains run to a changed timetable between Gordon and Wynyard only.
  • T1 Western Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between: Richmond and Liverpool. You may need to change trains at Parramatta to continue your journey; and Penrith and Central, platforms 1-14 only, making extra stops at Homebush, Flemington and Burwood. From 11.40pm to 5.30am Sunday, buses replace trains between Olympic Park and Central. Trains run to a changed timetable between Penrith and Olympic Park. Replacement buses do not leave from Lidcombe. City Circle trackwork may also affect how you travel.
  • T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: Buses replace Inner West trains between Strathfield and Central. Express trains continue to run. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Olympic Park via Granville. From 11.40pm to 5.30am Sunday, buses replace all trains between Olympic Park and Central. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Olympic Park. Change at Olympic Park to continue your journey. Replacement buses do not leave from Lidcombe. City Circle trackwork may also affect how you travel.
  • T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: Buses replace Inner West trains between Strathfield and Central. Express trains continue to run. Trains run to a changed timetable between Liverpool and Bankstown. From 11.40pm to 5.30am Sunday, buses replace all trains between Olympic Park and Central. Replacement buses do not leave from Lidcombe. City Circle trackwork may also affect how you travel.
  • T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: All Cronulla and some Waterfall trains make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville. Extra trains run between Hurstville and Bondi Junction. City Circle trackwork may also affect how you travel.
  • T5 Cumberland Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Richmond and Liverpool, and between Schofields and Leppington.
  • T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line: Buses replace trains between Bankstown and Lidcombe. Trains run between Liverpool and Bankstown, and between Lidcombe and the City. From 11.40pm to 5.30am Sunday, buses replace trains between Bankstown and Olympic Park, and between Olympic Park and Central. Replacement buses do not leave from Lidcombe.
  • T7 Olympic Park Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Olympic Park and Lidcombe, with some trains continuing to Leppington. From 11.40pm to 5.30am Sunday, buses replace all trains between Olympic Park and Central. Trains run between Olympic Park and Lidcombe, continuing to Penrith or Leppington.
  • T8 Airport & South Line: Most trains run to a changed timetable between Macarthur and Sydenham, or between Revesby and Central via the Airport, due to City Circle trackwork. Change at Revesby for trains to Central via the Airport, or at Sydenham for metro services to the City and T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line trains towards Bondi Junction. Early morning and late-night trains run between Macarthur and Central via the Airport. T8 trains do not run between Sydenham and the City. T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line trains run between Sydenham and Bondi Junction, making extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville. City Circle trackwork may also affect how you travel.
  • T9 Northern Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Berowra and Central, platforms 1-14, and between Hornsby and Epping. Use metro services between Epping and the City. From 11.40pm to 5.30am Sunday, buses replace all trains between Strathfield and Central. City Circle trackwork may also affect how you travel.
  • Blue Mountains Line: Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central. Trackwork on the City Circle may also affect how you travel
  • Central Coast & Newcastle Line: Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central. Trackwork on the City Circle may also affect how you travel
  • South Coast Line: Trains run to a changed timetable between South Coast Line stations and Sydenham only. Change at Sydenham for T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line trains or metro services to continue your journey. City Circle trackwork may also affect how you travel.
  • Southern Highlands Line: From 4.40am to 5.30pm, buses replace trains between Goulburn, Moss Vale and Campbelltown. T8 Airport & South Line trains run between Campbelltown and Sydenham, or between Revesby and Central via the Airport, due to City Circle trackwork.

A number of buses run to and from Parramatta Interchange, where you can connect with light rail services from Parramatta Square to Prince Alfred Square stop and walk to CommBank Stadium via Victoria Road. Alternatively it's a 15-minute walk from the station via Church Street and Victoria Road. See the CommBank Stadium transport and walking route map (pdf 3.9MB) to find your way.

Alternatively, buses leave regularly from Stand A4 at Parramatta Interchange and make stops on O’Connell Street outside the stadium. These routes include 546, 600, 601, 603, 604, 606 and 706. All bus services are accessible.

The closest wharf to CommBank Stadium is Parramatta Wharf.

From the wharf, walk to the Robin Thomas light rail stop via the riverside and Argus Lane to connect with services to Prince Alfred Square to get within walking distance of CommBank Stadium.

Note, Parramatta Light Rail services will not run from 5pm to 11.30pm between Parramatta and Westmead on Saturday due to the nearby Parramatta Lanes Festival. Buses will replace services. 

F3 Parramatta River services run regularly to Parramatta but services are popular and may reach capacity. Plan your trip and allow plenty of extra travel time or consider the alternative public transport options available.

Please note, F3 Parramatta River ferries between Parramatta and Rydalmere may be affected by low tide and replaced by buses, check for updates here.

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

Service changes – L4 partial line closures due to Parramatta Lanes Festival

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services will not run between Westmead and Parramatta Square from 5pm to 11.30pm on Saturday 24 October. Buses will replace services. Light rail services will run between Carlingford and Parramatta Square only during these times.

Fans are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings. 

L1 Dulwich Hill Line

L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

From Central, change for a T1 Western Line train to Parramatta to get within walking distance of the stadium. 

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines

L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly, plan your trip using Trip Planner.

From Central, change for a T1 Western Line train to Parramatta to get within walking distance of the stadium. 

From 7am to 7pm, additional L2 and L3 light rail services will run between Circular Quay and Randwick or Junior Kingsford due to City Circle trackwork

Paramatta will be busy on Saturday 24 October with the Parramatta Lanes festival taking place in the CBD nearby. Roads will be closed with local detours in place. See the Parramatta Lanes Festival event page for more details on road closures

If you’re driving to the game, plan to arrive early as car parks in the area are expected to be in high demand. Traffic will be heavier than usual on roads approaching the stadium. Allow extra travel time on roads including Parramatta Road, Church Street, Victoria Road, James Ruse Drive and Pennant Hills Road. 

Motorists should also exercise caution as pedestrian activity will be high on roads between Parramatta Interchange and the stadium.  

Drivers are reminded that light rail services are running through Parramatta CBD. Trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so exercise extra caution when driving in the area.

A taxi rank is located on the eastern side of Villiers Street between Ross Street and Victoria Road.

Note: O’Connell Street is a no-stopping zone. Taxis or any other vehicles are not permitted to drop off or pick up any passengers at any time.

Attendees who are being picked up or dropped off are encouraged to pre-plan a location away from the stadium to avoid traffic delays.

Parramatta Car Parks

Fans driving to the game should allow plenty of extra travel time as parking is expected to be in high demand with Parramatta Lanes Festival also taking place.

The following car parks are within walking distance of the stadium. There's no public parking available on-site at CommBank Stadium on game days:

  • Justice Precinct Car Park, entry via Hunter Street
  • Parramatta Station Car Park, entry via Wentworth Street
  • Parramatta Leagues Club, O’Connell Street at Eels Place: Note pricing for the car park is dependent on if you are a Leagues Club Member (not a Football Club Member). Visit Parra Leagues Club for more info.

*Note: Eat Street Car Park will have restricted parking from Friday 16 October to Tuesday 27 October and will be completely closed for parking from Tuesday 20 October to Monday 26 October due to Parramatta Lanes Festival.

Attendees with mobility impairments or accessibility requirements can catch one of the regular route bus services that leave from bus stand A4 at Parramatta Interchange and make stops on O’Connell Street outside the stadium, including routes 600, 601, 603, 604, 606 and 706.

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services are also accessible.
