Opal 

You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail. 

Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer. 

More ways to pay 

If you have a contactless-enabled American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card, or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Available on all public transport, contactless payments are another way to pay on the Opal network. Adult Opal fare pricing applies and you will receive Opal benefits, including daily and weekly fare caps. 

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city. 

The M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham from early morning until late. 

Change at Epping or Central for trains towards Lidcombe then Olympic Park.

The closest station to Afterpay Arena (formerly Qudos Bank Arena) is Olympic Park.  

Additional trains will to and from Olympic Park to help you get there and home again. Remember, you'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner. 

Friday 9 October

• Leaving Blacktown at 5.34pm - stopping at Parramatta, Lidcombe then Olympic Park
• Leaving Liverpool at 5.45pm - stopping at Cabramatta, Fairfield, Granville, Lidcombe then Olympic Park
• Trains also run regularly to Lidcombe where you can head to Platform Zero for a direct train to Olympic Park, running every 10 minutes until late.

Saturday 10 October

If you’re travelling to Saturday’s show, trackwork may affect how you travel. Plan ahead and allow extra travel time.  

• If you’re travelling from the west, buses replace trains between Parramatta and Olympic Park. You will need to catch a replacement bus from Parramatta to complete your trip to Olympic Park.  
• If you’re travelling from the city, trains continue to run to Olympic Park. Catch a T1 or T2 line service directly to Olympic Park.  

Additional trains will run:

• From the City: Trains will run every 15 minutes from the City direct to Olympic Park
• From Penrith: Trains will run every 15 minutes - stopping all stations to Leppington. Change at Parramatta for a replacement bus to complete your trip to Olympic Park

Trackwork 

There is no planned trackwork taking place on Friday 9 October, however planned trackwork is taking place on Saturday 10 October on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.  

• T1 Western Line: Buses replace trains between Parramatta and Olympic Park. Trains run to a changed timetable between Penrith and Leppington, Richmond and Liverpool and Olympic Park and the City. Change at Parramatta for buses towards Olympic Park, then trains from Olympic Park to the City, or change at Glenfield for trains to the City via the Airport.
• T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: Buses replace trains between Parramatta and Olympic Park. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Penrith, Liverpool and Richmond and Olympic Park and the City. Change at Glenfield for trains to the City via the Airport, or change at Parramatta for buses towards Olympic Park, then trains from Olympic Park to the City.  
• T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Liverpool and Lidcombe, and between Olympic Park and the City. Buses replace all trains between Parramatta, Lidcombe and Olympic Park
• T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: Buses replace trains between Cronulla, Waterfall and Central, and between Central and Bondi Junction, but do not stop at Martin Place. Trains run between Sydenham and the City Circle. Use metro services between Sydenham and Martin Place. If travelling to the Airport change at Central for a T8 Airport train
• T5 Cumberland Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Richmond and Liverpool, and between Penrith and Leppington.
• T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and reduced frequency, every 30 minutes.
• T7 Olympic Park: Buses replace trains between Parramatta, Lidcombe and Olympic Park. Trains run between Olympic Park and the City.
• T8 Airport & South Line: Trackwork on the T4 Illawarra and South Coast Lines may affect how you travel. Change at Central for buses towards Bondi Junction, T4 Illawarra and South Coast Line stations, or if you have luggage or accessibility needs.
• Blue Mountains Line: Trains run between Blue Mountains Line stations and Blacktown only. T1 Western Line trains run between Penrith, Blacktown and Leppington. Buses replace trains between Parramatta and Olympic Park. Change at: Parramatta for buses towards Olympic Park, then trains from Olympic Park to the City, or at Glenfield for trains to the City via the Airport. Trains from Blacktown to Blue Mountains Line stations run 30 minutes later than the normal timetable. Bathurst trains run between Bathurst and Lithgow, some to a changed timetable.
• Hunter Line: From 9pm to 2.20am, buses replace trains from Newcastle Interchange to Telarah. From 10pm to 3.30am, buses replace trains from Telarah to Newcastle Interchange.
• South Coast Line: Buses replace trains between Dapto, Port Kembla and Central. You may need to change buses to continue your journey. Trains run between Bomaderry, Kiama and Dapto, some to a changed timetable. For travel to the Airport, change at Central for a T8 Airport & South Line train.
• Southern Highlands Line: Buses replace the following trains: 10:09 Campbelltown to Moss Vale and 10:35 Moss Vale to Campbelltown

The following route buses run towards Olympic Park: 

• Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Lidcombe. Connect with a replacement bus to continue your trip to Olympic Park. 
• Route 526 runs between Strathfield and Rhodes Shopping Centre via Sydney Olympic Park precinct and wharf. 
• Route 533 runs between Sydney Olympic Park and Chatswood via Rhodes & North Ryde.

The closest wharf to Afterpay Arena (formerly Qudos Bank Arena) is Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. There is a connecting 526 bus to the venue or alternatively it is approximately a 40-minute walk (3.6km) from the wharf. 

F3 Parramatta River services run regularly to Olympic Park, but services are very popular and may reach capacity. Keep this in mind if you’re planning on catching an F3 Parramatta River service. Plan your trip and allow plenty of extra travel time or consider the alternative public transport options available. 

F3 Parramatta River ferries may be affected by low tide between Parramatta and Rydalmere and replaced by buses. Check for updates here.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line 

L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner. 

For Friday’s show, change at Central for trains to Lidcombe then Olympic Park. For Saturday’s show, catch a train from the city directly to Olympic Park.  

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines 

L2 Randwick Line light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford Line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner. 

For Friday’s show, change at Central for trains to Lidcombe then Olympic Park. For Saturday’s show, catch a train from the city directly to Olympic Park.  

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line 

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner. 

Alight at Parramatta Square. For Friday’s show, connect with a train service towards Lidcombe then Olympic Park. For Saturday’s show, catch a replacement bus from Parramatta Interchange to get to Olympic Park.

Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.

Traffic will be heavier than usual on roads approaching the precinct as attendees travel to the event during the busy evening peak.

Travel with your group and allow extra travel time on the M4, Parramatta Road, Homebush Bay Drive and Concord Road. Pre-book your parking online ahead of time to secure a space – available until 11:59pm the night before the event unless sold out prior.  

Road Closures 

Sydney Olympic Park Authority may close some local roads to accommodate increased public transport services and ensure pedestrian safety during events. For road closure details, visit the Sydney Olympic Park interactive map for more details.

The nearest Taxi Rank is on Herb Elliott Avenue near the Pullman Hotel. 

If you’re using taxis or rideshare, remember that roads may be closed within the precinct. Allow plenty of extra travel time due to the increased traffic expected in the precinct before and after the event.

When leaving, choose a pick-up location away from the immediate area around the stadium to avoid delays.

Visit Sydney Olympic Park – Parking to secure your parking space ahead of the event. A flat rate $40 parking fee will apply. Fans travelling to the show on Saturday should be aware that Sydney Olympic Park will be busy with nearby Monster Jam taking place at Accor Stadium, so pre-booking parking will be particularly important. 

If you have pre-booked a space, follow the directions of staff and have your parking ticket ready to show at the car park entry. Carpool with your group and allow plenty of additional travel time. Spots are expected to sell out in advance, so it is essential that you pre-book to guarantee a car space, particularly on Saturday while other events are taking place in the precinct. A flat rate $40 parking fee applies.

If you haven’t pre-booked, follow the variable message signs within Sydney Olympic Park to the best available casual parking.
