Snowy Mountains Bus Service
Let public transport take you to the slopes this ski season
The Snowy Mountains Bus Service will take passengers from Jindabyne to Perisher and Thredbo resorts 7 days per week during ski season from 8 June to 6 October 2024, with connecting services via East Jindabyne, Tyrolean Village and Cooma (via Berridale).
Since 2021, the service has provided an affordable way for visitors to travel to the ski resorts, removing the stress associated with driving in poor weather conditions, heavy traffic and on icy roads. The service has expanded over the years including more routes and the introduction of the Park & Shuttle Bus. Also new for the 2024 season is a morning service travelling from Cooma to Jindabyne (via Berridale), returning in the afternoon.
The Park & Shuttle Bus is an easy way to connect with the Snowy Mountains Bus Service. The shuttle operates regularly on a loop from Station Resort (Park & Shuttle Bus), and travels between stops in Jindabyne, Tyrolean Village, and East Jindabyne. Passengers can connect with Perisher, Thredbo, the Skitube, and Cooma (via Berridale) services from the Snowy Region Visitor Centre in Jindabyne.
Return fares for all services include entry into Kosciuszko National Park and each bus has room for gear including skis or a board, and a day backpack^, with services running hourly each day and every 30 minutes to Perisher during school holidays and peak periods*.
Ticket holders for the Snowy Mountains Bus receive free car parking at The Station Resort and free travel on the Park & Shuttle Bus to the Snowy Region Visitor Centre in Jindabyne. Simply take the shuttle and change at the Snowy Region Visitor Centre to catch your Snowy Mountains bus service to the slopes.
Passengers are encouraged to book ahead to secure their seat, however tickets can be purchased on the day if seats are available.†
