Bus changes in December and January

From Sunday 8 December, we’ll be making changes to some bus services across Sydney.

The changes support improved connections between buses, improved reliability and better meet passenger demand.

Adjustments will also be made to dedicated school services across many areas.

Route Changes
320

Route 320 will be extended to operate to Lee St, Railway Square at Central.

389 Route 389 will be extended to operate to and from the Maritime Museum (Murray Street).
418

Services between Burwood and Sydenham will be improved to operate every 20 minutes during the day seven days a week, with peak hour services operating every 10 minutes and early morning and evening services every 30 minutes.

Services will also operate from around 5.00am to midnight seven days a week.

Some services on route 418 will also be extended to operate to and from Tempe on Mondays to Saturdays, replacing route 425 services which will no longer operate.

420 Additional services will operate during early morning and evening periods throughout the week.
423 Services will be improved to operate every 10 minutes or better during the day on weekdays, and every 15-20 minutes early morning and late evening.  There is no change to weekend service frequency.
425

Route 425 from Tempe to Dulwich Hill will be renamed the 418 and will go from Tempe to Burwood.

The Tempe to Sydenham section will get the same number of services it has now. Passengers will benefit with an extended route through the inner west.

430

Route 430 will operate between Sydenham and Central Station only. It will no longer operate between Central Station and Martin Place.

Service frequency on weekdays will be adjusted to every 20 minutes.  There is no change to weekend service frequency.

433

Route 433 will become a Frequent Network route with services running every 10 minutes or better during the day and 20 minutes or better early morning and late evening seven days a week.
Services will also operate overnight on Friday and Saturday nights.

442

Route 442 will become a Frequent Network route with services running every 10 minutes or better during the day and 20 minutes or better early morning and late evening seven days a week.
Services will also operate overnight on Friday and Saturday nights between Balmain Gladstone Park and City QVB.

502

Service frequency will be adjusted to every 60 minutes during weekday off peak, evenings and weekends.  During these times, services will only operate between Cabarita Wharf and Five Dock Shops.  Alternative services are available between Five Dock and Drummoyne on routes 490, 492 and 530.
 
Weekday peak hour services will continue to operate to and from the City.

503

Route 503 will no longer operate.

Route 504 will operate more frequent services.  Routes 500X, 502, 505, 506 and 507 also provide alternative services along Victoria Road.

504X

Route 504X will no longer operate.

Route 504 will operate more frequent services.

526

Route 526 will become a Frequent Network route with services running every 10 minutes or better during the day and 20 minutes or better early morning and late evening seven days a week.

Route 526 also be changed to operate between Rhodes and Strathfield station only. It will no longer operate between Strathfield and Burwood.  Alternative bus and train services are available.

On school days only two morning trips will continue to Burwood Station and Concord High school. Two afternoon return trips will also operate.

Bus timetables are changing from 19 January

Timetables are changing, affecting some bus routes across North West Sydney.

Some routes will have more services and expanded operating hours.

748

Route 748 is changing from 19 January

Route 748 will be extended to Abell Road, Melonba. It will also be adjusted to operate along Jerralong Drive, between Schofields Station and Alex Avenue.

Route 748 will no longer operate between Tallawong and Rouse Hill. Alternative services are available on routes 732, 742 and 747 as well as M1 Sydney Metro services.

Timetable changes will also affect some bus routes across North West Sydney.

WPSB

Shuttle service route WPSB Blacktown Station to Westpoint Blacktown will no longer operate from 19 January

Alternative services operate between Blacktown Interchange and Westpoint Blacktown.

Timetables are changing, affecting some bus routes across the North Shore and Northern Beaches.

114

Route 114 is changing from 19 January

Route 114 will be adjusted with Westbound services operating via the Pacific Hwy for improved connection to the Sydney Metro at Crows Nest Station.

Timetable changes will also affect some bus routes across the North Shore.

144N

Route 144 will operate a 24 hour service between Manly and Chatswood, from 19 January  

New overnight services on route 144 will replace route 144N Manly to North Sydney. 

Route 230 will also operate for longer hours and run more frequently throughout the week.

Timetable changes will also affect some bus routes across the North Shore and Northern Beaches.

228

Route 228 is changing from 19 January

Route 228 will be adjusted to operate between Clifton Gardens and Mosman High School only. It will no longer operate between Mosman High School and Milsons Point.

Alternative services are available on route 230, which will operate more frequently and for longer hours.

Route 229 is changing from 19 January

Route 229 will be adjusted to operate between Beauty Point and North Sydney only. It will no longer operate between North Sydney and Milsons Point.

Alternative services are available on route 230, which will operate more frequently and for longer hours.
