AFL Grand Final regional planned trackwork 25 to 27 September

NSW TrainLink passengers travelling on North Coast services and services to Melbourne, Canberra and Griffith are advised of planned trackwork this weekend, Friday 25 to Sunday 27 September. 

Demand will be high due to the AFL Grand Final being played in Melbourne on Saturday 26 September. Luggage limits apply to all services.

Planned trackwork is essential to ensuring infrastructure is maintained for the safe operations of trains.

On Saturday 26 September, ARTC trackwork in the Southern Highlands will affect the below services:

• TrainLink services cancelled and replaced by coaches for the entire journey:
  • 07:05 Sydney to Canberra, Saturday 26 September
  • 12:06 Sydney to Canberra, Saturday 26 September
  • 06:55 Canberra to Sydney, Saturday 26 September
  • 12:05 Canberra to Sydney, Saturday 26 September
  • 07:05 Sydney to Griffith, Saturday 26 September 
  • 07:31 Griffith to Sydney, Sunday 27 September
• Coaches will replace trains in both directions between Albury and Sydney:
  • 19:50 Melbourne to Sydney, Friday 25 September
  • 07:30 Sydney to Melbourne, Saturday 26 September

Queensland Rail Cross River Rail trackwork will be in place affecting the below services. Note the works are ongoing and customers should continue to plan their journey after this weekend.

  • 14:47 Sydney to Brisbane, Friday 25 September 
  • 05:45 Brisbane to Sydney, Friday 25 September
  • 14:44 Sydney to Brisbane, Saturday 26 September
  • 05:45 Brisbane to Sydney, Saturday 26 September
  • 14:44 Sydney to Brisbane, Sunday 27 September
  • 05:45 Brisbane to Sydney, Sunday 27 September
