Upcoming trackwork Sydney to Broken Hill
Passengers travelling between Sydney and Broken Hill are advised that planned Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) maintenance work will affect NSW TrainLink services on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 October.
As a result of the trackwork between Goobang and Broken Hill, NSW TrainLink train services between Dubbo and Broken Hill will be replaced by coaches on these dates.

Changes to NSW TrainLink services
Monday 26 October
- The scheduled train service from Sydney to Broken Hill will operate between Sydney Terminal and Dubbo only.
- Customers travelling to Broken Hill will transfer to replacement coaches at Dubbo. These coaches will travel via Cobar before continuing to Broken Hill. Customers travelling to intermediate locations including Wilcannia, Emmdale, Cobar, Boppy Mountain, Hermidale, Nyngan, Nevertire, Trangie and Narromine should use the regular coach service operating from Dubbo

Tuesday 27 October
- Customers travelling from Broken Hill to Sydney will board replacement coaches in Broken Hill and travel to Dubbo, where they will connect with a train service to Sydney.
- Customers travelling to Wilcannia, Emmdale, Cobar, Boppy Mountain, Hermidale, Nyngan, Nevertire, Trangie and Narromine may also use the regular Broken Hill to Dubbo coach service.

Broken Hill operates on Central Standard Time, which is 30 minutes behind New South Wales time. Customers should check their booking confirmation and departure times carefully when planning their journey.
There will be no changes to regular NSW TrainLink coach services operating in the region.
