Terms and conditions of using this site is a public transport information and trip planning website operated by Transport for NSW (Website). The Website is made available to assist you plan your trip on public transport in New South Wales.

Your use of the Website is subject to these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales. Transport for NSW (TfNSW) may update its terms by providing the latest version of the terms on this Website. If you continue to use the Website after the terms are updated, you are accepting the updated terms.

A reference to the Website in these terms includes all of the content featured or displayed on the Website, including text, pricing, graphics, photographs, images, moving images, sound, illustrations, data, files, other information and software.

TfNSW makes available the content and functionality on the Website to assist you to plan your trips. However, TfNSW cannot promise that the content and functionality on the Website will be complete, suitable for your purpose, error free, current at all times, or that the Website will always be available for use. 

A range of factors may affect the accuracy, completeness, suitability and timeliness of the Website. Factors that may affect the content include breakdowns, congestion, weather conditions and infrastructure development and maintenance (e.g. roadworks and track work). Factors that may affect the availability of the Website include scheduled and unscheduled downtime.

You may find that actual trip conditions and times differ from the trip content displayed on the Website. TfNSW makes available travel alerts based on information it receives about the transport network and its operations from time to time.

You should check the Website for any changes and for any travel alerts. 

TfNSW suggests that you give yourself sufficient extra time for your trip so that you are not significantly inconvenienced by any delays or transport issues, and can make up time lost by delays. You are responsible for planning your trips with these considerations in mind.

TfNSW makes no representation and provides no warranty or assurance about the accuracy, completeness, timeliness and suitability for your purposes of the Website or any sites linked to the Website.

Some of the sites and content linked to the Website are not controlled by TfNSW. TfNSW is not responsible for and does not endorse any of those websites and content. Those sites and content are provided for convenience only, and are subject to their own terms and conditions.

The internet is not a secure medium. Information from, and communications to and from, the Website may be viewed, intercepted or altered (including in transit). Content accessed over the internet may contain computer viruses or other malicious software. Users accept these risks and are responsible for adequately protecting their devices.

In no circumstances will the State of New South Wales (including TfNSW) and its personnel accept any liability to you or any other person for any loss, damage, costs and expenses that you or anyone else may suffer or incur from reliance on the Website.

This disclaimer is subject to any statutory guarantee we may be subject to at law and which in the case of services provided to consumers cannot be excluded or modified.

The copyright and any other intellectual property in the Website will at all times remain the property of TfNSW. You may only use the Website for your own personal use in planning a trip, or as permitted by law, unless you have a separate written agreement with TfNSW to perform other activities in relation to the Website. To be clear, this Website is not licensed under the Creative Commons Licence. You must not copy or use all or any part of the Website for any commercial purpose. TfNSW may make changes to the Website at any time without notice to you. This includes suspending or terminating your access to the Website (or any part of it) without notice to you.

The Transport Connect customer portal is a restricted access section of the Website which is accessible only to registered Transport Connect users. In addition to Terms and Conditions of using this Website the following also applies to the use of the Transport Connect customer portal.

To access the Transport Connect customer portal, you must first create an account at or via one of the TfNSW published mobile apps. If you create an account via Transport Connect, your account will only become active once you have entered the verification code emailed to your nominated email account. You may only access and use the Transport Connect customer portal for your personal, non commercial purposes and you may not use or copy any part of the Transport Connect customer portal for any other purpose.

You may register for services within the Transport Connect customer portal. Each service must be registered separately and additional terms and conditions may apply.

You must keep all usernames, passwords, personal identification numbers and answers to security questions confidential. You must not disclose this information to any person, and we are not responsible for any loss suffered as a result of you disclosing any such information to another person.

Where you are logged into the Transport Connect Portal using your user name and password, you will be automatically logged out after a period of inactivity to help reduce the risk of anyone else accessing your account.

We welcome your comments on the Website including any suggestions for improvements and any complaints or concerns. TfNSW may use your comments to improve the Website and the operations of TfNSW and other NSW Government Agencies. So that TfNSW can deal effectively with your comments, TfNSW asks that you complete the online feedback form to submit your comments.
