Important travel advice

A-League fans are encouraged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time.

When catching public transport, plan ahead, allow extra time and sit or stand on the green dots. You can check real-time capacity indicators when planning your trip or boarding services.

Trains run regularly to Gosford on the Central Coast and Newcastle Line. From Gosford station, the stadium is within walking distance.

Remember it’s mandatory to wear a face mask when travelling on public transport, and you'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling to and from the event. Register your details via the Opal website or app ahead of time.

If you’re driving travel with your group and use nearby local parking. Allow extra travel time as traffic will be heavier than usual on Sunday afternoon you can find real-time updates on traffic conditions at Opal retailer..

Additional measures and staff will be in place around transport hubs and the stadium to safely manage crowds arriving and leaving the event so please be patient, practise physical distancing while in queues and follow the directions of staff on site.

Opal

You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.

Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.

More ways to pay

If you have a contactless-enabled American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card, or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Available on all public transport, contactless payments are another way to pay on the Opal network. Adult Opal fare pricing applies and you will receive Opal benefits, including daily and weekly fare caps.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Tallawong Station and Chatswood Station.

Metro services start from the early morning running every 10 minutes until late. Change at Epping to connect with Central Coast & Newcastle Line trains to Gosford.

The closest station to Central Coast Stadium is Gosford on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line

The stadium is a short walk from Gosford Station via Showground Road and Dane Drive.

Trackwork

Weekend Trackwork is taking place from 2am Saturday 11 December to 2am Monday 13 December on the following lines:

  • T1 North Shore Line: From 10pm Sunday, trains run between Lindfield and North Sydney, or Berowra and Central only. Trackwork between Central and Lidcombe may affect how you travel.
  • T1 Western Line: From 10pm Sunday, trains run between Penrith and Olympic Park only. Change at Lidcombe to continue your journey. Buses run from Lidcombe to Strathfield, and Strathfield to Central, in that direction only. Limited stop and all-stations trains continue to run from the City to Lidcombe via Strathfield, in that direction only. On Sunday from 6am until 10pm trains run to a changed timetable between Penrith and the City, making extra stops at Homebush, Burwood, Croydon and Ashfield. Trains towards Penrith stop at all stations from Westmead to Seven Hills. Richmond trains run between Richmond and Olympic Park only. If you are travelling to the City please change trains at Parramatta. Then from 6.30am until 10.30am, trains run between Richmond and Leppington via the T5 Cumberland Line.
  • T2 Inner West & Leppington Line: From 10pm Sunday, trains run between Leppington and Olympic Park only. Change at Lidcombe to continue your journey. Buses run from Lidcombe to Strathfield, and Strathfield to Central, in that direction only. Limited stop and all-stations trains continue to run from the City to Lidcombe via Strathfield, in that direction only. On Sunday from 6am until 10pm, the all-stations Homebush trains will not run. Leppington trains run between Leppington and Strathfield only, making an extra stop at Homebush. T1 Western Line Penrith trains make extra stops at Homebush, Burwood, Croydon and Ashfield. T9 Northern Line trains make extra stops at Burwood, Ashfield then all stations to Redfern. You may need to change trains at Strathfield to continue your journey.
  • T3 Bankstown Line: From 10pm Sunday, extra trains run from Lidcombe to the City via Sydenham, to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.
  • T7 Olympic Park Line: From 10pm Sunday, trains run to a changed timetable between Olympic Park and Lidcombe then continue to Penrith or Leppington.
  • T9 Northern Line: From 10pm Sunday, trains run between Hornsby and Ashfield only. Buses run from Strathfield and Ashfield towards Central, in that direction only. Limited stop and all-stations trains continue to run from the City to Strathfield, in that direction only. On Sunday from 6am until 10pm, trains run to a changed timetable and make extra stops at Ashfield, then all stations to Redfern.
  • Blue Mountains Line: From 10pm Sunday, trains run between Blue Mountains Line stations and Strathfield only. Buses replace trains from Strathfield to Central, in that direction only. Limited stop trains continue to run from the City to Strathfield, in that direction only
  • Central Coast & Newcastle Line: From 10pm Sunday, trains run between Central Coast & Newcastle Line stations and Strathfield only. Buses replace trains from Strathfield to Central, in that direction only. Limited stop trains continue to run from the City to Strathfield, in that direction only.

Red Bus Services and Busways service the Central Coast area.

Routes 19, 21, 22, 23, 64 and 67 run towards Gosford making stops near the stadium.

L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and the L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly, plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

From Central change for a Central Coast & Newcastle Line train to Gosford Station.

Due to light rail vehicle repairs, buses are replacing all light rail services on the L1 Dulwich Hill Line between Central Grand Concourse and Dulwich Hill until further notice. Traffic may be heavier than usual on roads approaching the stadium, allow extra travel time.

Dane Dr will be closed between the Central Coast Hwy and Donnison St before the game from 3:30pm and will reopen once crowds have cleared the area.

  • Baker St car park (P1) is approximately 100m away.
  • Free parking is available 300m away at Gosford Train Station (P2).
