Important event information

Attendees are encouraged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time. Public transport is the best way to get to The Entertainment Quarter. 

Trains and Metro services to the city run regularly where you can connect with frequent light rail services to Moore Park from the city or south east. The Moore Park light rail stop is located a short walk across from The Entertainment Quarter. Plenty of regular route buses also make stops on Oxford St and Anzac Parade within walking distance. 

Note due to weekend trackwork buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Strathfield. Trains run to a changed timetable between Olympic Park and Lidcombe, continuing to Penrith or Leppington. If you're travelling from the west you'll need to change at Lidcombe for buses to Strathfield to continue your trip to the city by train.

You'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on transport to and from the event. Register your details online at Opal or via the Opal Tavel app ahead of time.

If you have to drive, travel with your group and allow plenty of extra travel time. Parking is available near at The Entertainment Quarter multi storey car park, entry Errol Flynn Boulevard off Lang Road.

Traffic may be heavier than usual on roads approaching the precinct as attendees travel to and from the event, particularly during the busy evening peak on Friday. You can find real-time updates on traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.  

 

Opal

You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.

Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.

More ways to pay

If you have a contactless-enabled American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card, or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Available on all public transport, contactless payments are another way to pay on the Opal network. Adult Opal fare pricing applies and you will receive Opal benefits, including daily and weekly fare caps.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city. 

The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services in both directions between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham.  

Metro services start running from early morning, every 5 to 10 minutes, until late at night.  

Change at Central to connect with light rail services to Moore Park.

The closest stations to the Entertainment Quarter are Central and Bondi Junction.

From Central catch a light rail service to Moore Park from Chalmers Street.

From Bondi Junction catch one of the many regular route buses from the Interchange to Oxford Street to get within walking distance of the precinct.

Friday  

  • T2 Inner West & Leppington LineSome trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.
  • T3 Liverpool & Bankstown LineBuses replace trains between Lidcombe and Bankstown. Some trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.
  • T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville. 
  • T8 Airport & South Line: T8 trains will not run via Sydenham. All trains run via the Airport, some to a changed timetable. Change at Wolli Creek for T4 trains via Sydenham. 
  • Southern Highlands Line: Trains run between Southern Highlands Line stations and Campbelltown only. Change at Campbelltown for T8 trains to continue your journey. 

Saturday  

  • T1 Western LineBuses replace trains between Lidcombe and Strathfield. Trains run to a changed timetable between Penrith and Olympic Park. Change at Lidcombe for buses towards Strathfield. Trackwork buses do not leave from Olympic Park. Richmond trains run between Richmond and Leppington. Change at Glenfield for trains to the City via the Airport.
  • T2 Inner West and Leppington LineBuses replace trains between Lidcombe and Strathfield. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Olympic Park via Granville, and between Leppington and Lidcombe via Regents Park. Change at Lidcombe for buses towards Strathfield. Trackwork buses do not leave from Olympic Park. You can also change at Glenfield for trains to the City via the Airport.
  • T3 Liverpool & Bankstown Line: Buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Strathfield. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Olympic Park via Regents Park. Change at Lidcombe for buses towards Strathfield. Trackwork buses do not leave from Olympic Park. From 9pm Saturday to 5am Sunday, and Sunday from 8pm to 10pm, trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Lidcombe via Regents Park. 
  • T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: From 4am to 11.30am, buses replace trains between Waterfall and Sutherland. Trains run between Cronulla, Sutherland and Bondi Junction, some to a changed timetable.
  • T5 Cumberland LineExtra trains run between Richmond and Leppington.
  • T7 Olympic Park LineTrains run to a changed timetable between Olympic Park and Lidcombe, continuing to Penrith or Leppington. Buses replace all trains between Lidcombe and Strathfield.
  • T8 Airport & South Line: T8 trains will not run via Sydenham. All trains run via the Airport, some to a changed timetable. Change at Wolli Creek for T4 trains via Sydenham. 
  • T9 Northern LineExtra trains run between Rhodes and T1 North Shore Line stations.
  • Blue Mountains Line: Trains run between Blue Mountains Line stations and Blacktown only. Change at Penrith for express buses to Strathfield. T1 Western Line trains run between Penrith, Blacktown and Olympic Park. Buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Strathfield. Trains from Blacktown to Blue Mountains Line stations run 30 minutes later than normal. Bathurst trains run between Bathurst and Lithgow only, some to a changed timetable. Change trains at Lithgow to continue your journey. Buses replace the 3:05pm and 5:54pm Central to Bathurst trains from Central to Lithgow, continuing to Bathurst. 
  • Central Coast and Newcastle LineFrom 6am to 11am, at Hawkesbury River and Cowan, all trains leave from platform 2.
  • Hunter LineFrom 9pm to 3am, buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Telarah.
  • South Coast LineFrom 3am to 11am, buses replace trains between Port Kembla and Wollongong, and between Dapto and Sutherland. Trains run between Bomaderry, Kiama and Dapto, to a changed timetable.
  • Southern Highlands Line: Trains run between Southern Highlands Line stations and Campbelltown only. Change at Campbelltown for T8 trains to continue your journey. From 4.40am to 4pm, buses replace trains between Goulburn, Moss Vale and Campbelltown. T8 Airport & South Line trains run between Campbelltown and Central via the Airport.

A number of regular Sydney Buses services stop along Anzac Parade near the precinct including routes 339, 374, 373 and 396.

From Bondi Junction Interchange, catch routes 333, 352 or 440 to Oxford Street or catch route 355 buses to Lang Road, which is within short walking distance of the Entertainment Quarter.

Catch one of the many ferry services to Circular Quay and change for a light rail service to Moore Park on the L2 and L3 lines.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line

L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

From Central, change for a light rail service on the L2 or L3 Line to Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street.  

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines

L2 Randwick Line light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford Line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using Trip Planner.

Catch L2 or L3 light rail services to Moore Park. The Moore Park stop is located along Anzac Parade across from the Entertainment Quarter.

If you have to drive, carpool with your group and arrive early to secure a parking space. Traffic will be heavier than usual as attendees travel to and from the event.  

Trams are running between the CBD and South East so pedestrians are reminded to exercise caution around the tram tracks and cross at designated pedestrian crossings.

If you’re using rideshare to get to and from the Show, use Errol Flynn Boulevard or Driver Avenue for the drop off locations. After the event, roads in the immediate area of the precinct may be busy so consider a pick up location outside of the precinct.

Entertainment Quarter Parking

Parking is available at The Entertainment Quarter multi storey car park, entry Errol Flynn Boulevard off Lang Road.

Special Event Clearways – Moore Park & Randwick

On Friday 11 and Saturday 12 October, special event clearways will be in place on roads in Moore Park and surrounding areas from 3pm to midnight on sections of Albion Street, Fitzroy Street and Moore Park Road, and from 6am to midnight on Cleveland Street.   

From 6am to midnight 

  • Cleveland Street between South Dowling Street and City Road (southern side) 
  • Cleveland Street between Abercrombie Street and South Dowling Street (northern side) 
  • Fitzroy Street between South Dowling Street and Bourke Street (northern side) * 

* From 6am Friday and from 3pm on Saturday  

From 3pm to midnight  

  • Albion Street between Bourke Street and Flinders Street (both sides) 
  • Moore Park Road between Cook Road and Poate Road (southern side) 

Clearways are strict no-parking zones, and apply even to local residents or Mobility Scheme Permit holders. Check signs before parking as vehicles left in special event clearways will be towed and a towing fee applies. Visit Live Traffic NSW to see the locations of special event clearways.
