More than 10,000 people are expected to attend the 52nd annual NSW Aboriginal Rugby League Koori Knockout 2024 at the Hereford Street Rugby Complex in Bathurst from Friday 4 October to Monday 7 October.

Traffic is expected to be heavier than usual on roads approaching the venue so fans and participants are encouraged to allow extra travel time and carpool where possible. You can find real-time updates on traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.

Getting around Bathurst

Bathurst has a local bus network, and taxis are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There are also tour operating companies and a range of car hire companies that will enable you to explore the beauty and rich cultural heritage of Bathurst and the surrounding townships.

The Dubbo XPT runs daily from Sydney and stops at Bathurst. On Mondays the Broken Hill Outback Explorer runs from Sydney and stops at Bathurst.

The Blue Mountains Line runs a regular NSW TrainLink service from Sydney to Lithgow with coach connections to Bathurst.

The ‘Bathurst Bullet’ train service links Sydney with Bathurst, with services running twice daily. For further information see regional trains.

Bathurst Bus Lines operates extensively throughout the Bathurst area, including intertown links to Wallerawang, Portland and Lithgow.  

The nearest bus stop is Service 529 Bathurst to Kelso (& return) via Oak Tree with a bus stop at Trinity Shops - Marsden Lane.

Traffic is expected to be heavier than usual on the Great Western Hwy, Gilmour St and Hereford St as crowds travel to and from the event.

Motorists should allow extra travel time on roads in the area during the already busy long weekend period and be aware of increased pedestrian activity on local roads.

Taxi ranks are located nearby at the Main Entrance Gate to the Showground, and at Kelso - Centrepoint Shops.
