Important Travel Advice
Ticketholders are encouraged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time.
Race day tickets include travel on transport.
The best station for connections to Rosehill Gardens is Parramatta, where you can change for buses to get to and from the racecourse. Trains to Parramatta run regularly on weekends.
If you have to drive, travel with your group and arrive early. There’s parking on-site at the racecourse or use the dedicated rideshare and taxis pick up and drop off zones.

Ticketing information
Valid pre-purchased tickets to Everest Carnival 2024 race days at Rosehill Gardens between 21 September and 9 November (inclusive) include travel on the following transport services – just show your event ticket or ATC Members card to transport staff when boarding:
- Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink services (bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations)
- Sydney Buses
- Sydney Metro services
- Sydney and Newcastle Light Rail services
- Sydney and Newcastle Ferries
Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card or contactless payment method, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your event ticket is valid on the modes of public transport listed above until 4am the following day.
Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.
Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city.
The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services in both directions between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham.
Metro services start running from early morning, every 5 to 10 minutes, until late at night.
Change at Epping to connect with buses to Rosehill.

The best station for connections to Rosehill Gardens is Parramatta. Trains run regularly on weekends.
At Parramatta Station, you can connect with route 920 and 535 bus services that travel towards Rosehill and make stops near the racecourse.
Trackwork
Planned weekend trackwork is taking place on Saturday 2 November on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.
- T1 North Shore Line: Buses replace trains between Berowra and Hornsby. Trains run between Hornsby and the City, some to a changed timetable. Buses also replace T9 Northern and Central Coast & Newcastle Line trains.
- T1 Western Line: Penrith trains run to a changed timetable and make extra stops at Homebush, Burwood, Croydon and Ashfield. Richmond trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Liverpool. Change trains at Parramatta to continue your journey towards the City.
- T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: Inner West trains will not run. Leppington and T1 Western Line trains make extra stops. Leppington trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and T1 North Shore Line stations via Granville or Regents Park and stop at all stations between Ashfield and Central. You will need to change trains if travelling to Museum, St James or Circular Quay.
- T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: Inner West trains will not run. Leppington and T1 Western Line trains make extra stops. Trains run between Leppington and T1 North Shore Line stations via Regents Park and stop at all stations between Ashfield and Central. You will need to change trains if travelling to Museum, St James or Circular Quay.
- T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: From 6.30am to 12.15pm, some trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern and may start or end at Hurstville or Sutherland. You may need to change trains to continue your journey. Trains may leave from different platforms, please check indicator screens before boarding. From 1pm to 4pm, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek but make an extra stop at Arncliffe. Buses run between Sydenham, Wolli Creek and Arncliffe. Change at Arncliffe or Sydenham for a bus to Wolli Creek. T8 Airport & South Line trains to and from the City continue to stop at Wolli Creek.
- T5 Cumberland Line: Some trains run to a changed timetable. Extra trains run between Liverpool and Richmond.
- T9 Northern Line: Buses replace trains between Hornsby and Strathfield. Trains run to a changed timetable between Strathfield and the City. Frequent metro services run between Epping and the City.
- Blue Mountains Line: Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.
- Central Coast & Newcastle Line: Buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Hornsby. T1 North Shore Line trains run between Hornsby and the City, some to a changed timetable. Buses also replace trains on the Hunter and T9 Northern lines.
- Hunter Line: Buses replace trains between Scone, Dungog and Newcastle Interchange. Buses also replace trains on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line.
- South Coast Line: From 6.30am to 12.15pm, some trains make extra stops between Sutherland and Hurstville. From 1pm to 4pm, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but will make extra stops at Arncliffe and Sydenham. Buses run between Sydenham, Wolli Creek and Arncliffe. Change at Arncliffe or Sydenham for a bus to Wolli Creek.
- Southern Highlands Line: From 4.40am to 4pm, buses replace trains between Goulburn, Moss Vale and Campbelltown. T8 Airport & South Line trains run between Campbelltown and Central via the Airport.

From Parramatta Interchange, route 920 and 535 services run towards Rosehill making stops near the racecourse. Services run every 20 minutes on weekends. See our Rosehill Gardens Transport Map to find your way and plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
Route 920:
- Services leave from Parramatta Station Interchange, Stand A2, and drop off on James Ruse Drive opposite Prospect Street.
- Services leave from James Ruse Drive at Prospect Street and drop off at Parramatta Interchange.
Route 535:
- Services leave from Valentine Avenue before Wentworth Street at Parramatta Interchange and drop off on Hassall Street after Arthur Street.
- Services leave from Hassall Street and drop off at Valentine Avenue, Parramatta Interchange.
- Services stop at Carlingford, Telopea, Dundas, Rydalmere, Camellia/Rosehill and Parramatta. A standard Opal train fare applies. Catch a train or bus for connections to and from Clyde.

The best wharf for connections to Golden Eagle Day at Rosehill Gardens is Rydalmere on the F3 Parramatta River ferry line. Travel on ferries is included in your race day ticket.
- F3 Parramatta River ferries run every 20 minutes between Circular Quay and Olympic Park on Saturdays. From Olympic Park change to connect with event shuttle ferries to Rydalmere.
- Additional shuttle ferries will run between Olympic Park and Rydalmere wharves every 20 minutes from 11am to 2pm, and between Rydalmere and Olympic Park from 4pm to 7pm.
- From Rydalmere wharf hop on a free special event shuttle bus direct to Rosehill Gardens racecourse.
F3 Parramatta River services are popular and may reach capacity. Plan your trip and allow plenty of extra travel time or consider the alternative public transport options available.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line
L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Use the Trip Planner to plan your trip.
From Central, change for a T1 Western Line train to Parramatta to connect with buses to Rosehill Gardens.
L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines
L2 Randwick Line light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford Line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Plan your trip using Trip Planner.
From Central, change for a T1 Western Line train to Parramatta to connect with buses to Rosehill Gardens.

Traffic is expected to be heavier than usual on James Ruse Drive and Hassall Street approaching the racecourse so allow extra travel time.

Drop-off: taxis enter Rosehill Gardens Racecourse through the Grand Avenue gates but are not permitted to stop on James Ruse Drive or Grand Avenue.
Pick-up: taxis are located on Oak Street over the Equine Bridge located at the Might and Power entry.

Parking
Free unreserved members parking is available in:
- P4 and P5 car parks located on James Ruse Drive and Prospect Street.
- P6 Infield car park via Gate 2 on Unwin Street.
Reserved Members Car Parking is available for those with annual car park passes.
Special Event Clearways
Special event clearway parking restrictions will be in effect at the following locations:
- From 7am to 8pm: Grand Avenue from 100m Prior to Gate 1 Australian Turf Club Rosehill Gardens to opposite Grand Avenue North.
Clearways are strict no-parking zones for all vehicle types and apply even to local residents and TfNSW Mobility Scheme Permit holders. Check signs carefully as vehicles left in clearways will be towed and a fee applies. If your vehicle is towed, you can search your vehicle registration at the Find My Car website to find its new location, or alternatively call 132 701 to speak to an operator.
