Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city. 

The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services in both directions between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham. 

Metro services start running from early morning, every 5 to 10 minutes, until late at night.

Trackwork

Weekend trackwork is taking place on Saturday 16 November on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.

• City Circle Line: Trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum. Some trains start or end at Central, run to a changed timetable or leave from different platforms. You may need to change trains to continue your journey. The light rail runs in both directions between Circular Quay, Wynyard, Town Hall and Central. 
• T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: Buses replace trains between Leppington and Glenfield. Trains run to a changed timetable between Macarthur, Glenfield and the City via Granville, and between Campbelltown, Glenfield and Central via Regents Park. Buses also replace T8 Airport & South Line trains between Glenfield and Central via the Airport. 
• T5 Cumberland Line: Buses replace trains between Leppington and Glenfield. Most trains run between Schofields and Liverpool, to the normal timetable. 
• T8 Airport & South Line: Buses replace trains between Glenfield and Sydenham, and between Sydenham and Central via the Airport. Trains run to a changed timetable between; Macarthur and the City via Granville, Campbelltown and Central and Sydenham and the City Circle.  
• Blue Mountains Line: Buses replace trains between Lithgow and Mount Victoria. Trains run between Mount Victoria and Central, some to a changed timetable. Bathurst trains run between Bathurst and Lithgow or Central, to a changed timetable. Some early morning and late-night services will run between Bathurst and Mount Victoria. From 9.40am to 4pm, buses replace trains between Mount Victoria and Springwood.

A number or regular bus services make stops within walking distance of Leichhardt Oval, including routes 440, 437, 445 and 470.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line

L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner. 

Catch the L1 Line light rail service to Leichhardt North, which is a short walk to the oval via Mary Street.  

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines

L2 Randwick Line light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford Line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily, plan your trip using the Trip Planner. 

From Central, change to the L1 Line light rail service leaving from the Grand Concourse to get to Leichhardt North, which is a short walk to the oval via Mary Street.

Traffic may be heavier than usual on roads approaching Leichhardt Oval including James Street, Perry Street, Balmain Road, Mary Street and Glover Street as fans make their way to the game.

A section of Mary Street may close before the game and will reopen when crowds have cleared the area. Traffic will be detoured via Chapel Street.

There are no designated taxi ranks available at Leichhardt Oval. The best location for drop off is Mary Street and for pick up is Perry Street.
