Important event information
With around 20,000 attendees expected, fans are encouraged to catch public transport and leave the car at home to avoid traffic delays. The precinct will be busy throughout the day and night with a Race Day on at Royal Randwick Racecourse during the day and a Super Rugby game at nearby Allianz Stadium in the evening.
Knotfest tickets include travel on public transport, including trains, metro, buses, light rail and ferries. Simply show your ticket to transport staff when boarding services.
- Catch trains, metro or buses to the city to connect with light rail services to get within easy walking distance of the festival.
- Light rail services run regularly to Moore park from the city and south east. The Moore Park light rail stop is a short walk across from Centennial Park. Additional services will run before and after the festival.
- Plenty of regular route buses also make stops along Oxford St near the park.
- Please note if you’re travelling from western line train stations, planned weekend trackwork between Penrith/Richmond and Granville may affect your trip. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.
If you’re catching rideshare or taxis, use the dedicated drop off zone in Centennial Park on Grand Drive east of Parkes Drive. Access to the park will be via Robertson, Randwick, Woollahra and York Rd gates.
For pick-ups after the festival, walk to the dedicated pick up zone on Driver Ave near the SCG at Moore Park. Allow extra travel time as heavier than usual traffic is expected with a Super Rugby game at the nearby Allianz Stadium,
Between 8:30pm and 11.30pm roads will close around the park including sections of Lang Road and Moore Park Road to allow crowds to safely leave after the festival. Expect traffic delays and diversions. You can find real-time traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.
Event ticket entitlements
Valid pre-purchased tickets to Knotfest Music Festival at Centennial Parklands on Saturday 8 March include travel to and from Moore Park on the following transport services, just show your event ticket to transport staff when boarding:
- Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations), *excludes airport station access fee.
- Sydney Metro services
- Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan bus services
- Sydney, Parramatta and Newcastle Light Rail services
- Sydney and Newcastle Ferries
Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card or contactless payment method, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your match ticket is valid on the modes of public transport listed above until 4am the following day.
* Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.
Transport Park&Ride Car Parks
Park for free when you catch public transport. Transport Park&Ride provides up to 18 hours free parking each day. All you have to do is complete a public transport trip. Located close to public transport hubs, Park&Ride car parks help you connect more easily to train, bus and ferry services.
Tickets to Knotfest 2025 at Centennial Parklands include travel on transport and free Park&Ride parking. When leaving the car park use the intercom button at the exit gate to speak with the operator and show your event ticket.
If you use a Transport Connect account to access Park&Ride, the boom gate will automatically open as you leave the car park so you’ll need to request a refund in your account.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city.
The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services in both directions between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham.
Metro services start running from early morning, every 5 to 10 minutes, until late at night.
Change at Central where you can connect with light rail services to Moore Park to get within walking distance of Centennial Park.

The closest train station to Centennial Park is Central and Bondi Junction.
From Central, catch a light rail service to Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street to get within walking distance of the event.
From Bondi Junction, the Centennial Park is a 10-minute walk via Grafton Street and Oxford Street. Alternatively, you can change for a regular route bus to Oxford Street at the Interchange.

Trackwork
Planned trackwork is taking place on Saturday 8 March on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.
- T1 Western Line: Buses replace trains between Penrith, Richmond and Granville. Trains run to a changed timetable between Granville and the City, with some trains making an extra stop at Flemington. Buses also run between some T1 Western Line stations and Tallawong. Frequent metro services run between Tallawong and the City.
- T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and the City via Granville or Regents Park. Extra trains run between Liverpool and T1 North Shore Line stations via Granville.
- T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and the City via Regents Park. From 6.30am to 10.30am, trains run to a changed timetable between Liverpool and Lidcombe, and between Homebush and the City only. You may need to change trains to continue your journey. T1 and T2 trains run between Lidcombe and the City.
- T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: Buses replace trains between Cronulla and Sutherland. Trains run between Waterfall, Sutherland and Bondi Junction, some to a changed timetable. From 4am to 11.30am, buses also replace trains between Waterfall and Sutherland. Trains run between Sutherland and Bondi Junction, some to a changed timetable.
- T5 Cumberland Line: Buses replace trains between Richmond and Granville. T2 Leppington Line trains run between Leppington and the City via Granville. Extra trains run between Liverpool and T1 North Shore Line stations via Granville.
- T6 Bankstown Line: From 6.30am to 10.30am, trains run between Bankstown and Lidcombe to a reduced frequency, every 30 minutes.
- T8 Airport & South Line: From 9am to 3pm, trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Revesby and Turrella.
- Blue Mountains Line: Buses replace trains between Penrith and Granville. Trains from Penrith to Blue Mountains Line stations run up to 45 minutes later than the normal timetable. Bathurst trains continue to run between Bathurst and Central, to a changed timetable. Buses also replace T1 Western Line trains between Penrith, Richmond and Granville. If you are travelling to Lithgow to connect with NSW TrainLink Regional Coaches please call 132 232 to confirm departure times. From 9.15pm Saturday to 7.30am Sunday, buses replace trains between Springwood and Granville.
- Central Coast & Newcastle Line: Most trains run between Central Coast & Newcastle Line stations and Strathfield only. Change at Epping for metro services to the City or change trains at Strathfield to continue your journey. Some late night and early morning trains run around the City Circle. From 7.50pm Saturday to 4.50am Sunday, buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Wyong.
- South Coast Line: From 3am to 11am, buses replace trains between Kiama, Port Kembla and Sutherland. Trains run to a changed timetable between Bomaderry and Kiama, and T4 Illawarra trains run between Sutherland and Bondi Junction.

A number of regular buses make stops within walking distance of Centennial Park. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
The closest stops to the park are on Oxford Street near Lang Road or York Street.
- From the City, you can catch a route 333 bus that makes stops along Elizabeth Street, Park Street and Oxford Street.
- From the Inner West, you can catch a route 352, 355 or 440 bus that makes stops along City Road, Parramatta Road, Enmore Road, Norton Street, Cleveland Street and Oxford Street.
- From Bondi Junction, you can walk or catch a route 352, 355 or 440 bus that makes stops along Oxford Street.
Bus diversions
A number of stops will be closed during the event while surrounding roads are closed for the event from 8:30pm to 11.30pm:
- Route 339 and 373 buses through Centennial Park, Moore Park and Randwick will be using alternative stops due to the closure of the bus roadway. Buses will use stops on Anzac Parade and Alison Road opposite the bus roadway instead.
- Routes 333, 352 and 440 will not stop at St Matthias Anglican Church, Oxford Street (Stop ID 202150)

Catch one of the many ferry services to Circular Quay where you can change for a Route 333 bus to Oxford Street or a light rail service to Moore Park on the L2 and L3 lines.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line
L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
From Central, change for a light rail service on the L2 or L3 Line to Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street. From Moore Park continue on foot towards Lang Rd to enter Centennial Park via Robertson Road gate.
L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines
L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily, plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
Catch L2 or L3 light rail services to Moore Park. From the light rail stop continue on foot towards Lang Rd to enter Centennial Park via Robertson Road gate.
Additional services will run before and after the event.
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with trains to Central from Parramatta Station. From Central connect with L2/L3 light rail services from Chalmers St to Moore Park.
Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.

With 20,000 around music fans expected, traffic will be heavy on roads approaching Centennial Park and road closures will be in place in the evening to allow crowds to safely leave the venue. From 8:30pm access to the Entertainment Quarter is via Moore Park Rd and Cook Rd only (managed access)
Motorists should expect delays on roads around and approaching Centennial Park and Moore Park, including on Anzac Parade, Lang Road, Oxford Street, Syd Einfeld Drive, Darley Road, York Road and Alison Road as a large number of vehicle pick-ups and drop-offs are expected. Motorists should also exercise caution as pedestrian activity on local roads will be higher than usual.
Road Closures
The following roads will be closed in Centennial Park and Moore Park for the safety of pedestrians leaving the event.
From 4:30pm to 11:30pm
- Driver Ave between the southern turning circle and northern turning circle
From 8:30pm to 11:30pm
- Driver Ave between MacArthur Ave (southern turning circle) and Lang Rd (Northbound)
- Lang Rd between Anzac Pde and Errol Flynn Blvd (Eastbound)
- Lang Rd, Between Mitchell St and Moore Park Rd
- Moore Park Rd, Between Oxford St and Cook Rd (Westbound) - Managed access for residents to the Entertainment Quarter.
From 10pm to 11:30pm
- Moore Park Rd between Oatley Rd and Oxford St (Eastbound) - Managed access for residents to the Entertainment Quarter.

Moore Park Car Parks
Limited parking will be available at the nearby Moore Park precinct:
- Entertainment Quarter Wilson Car Park (parking rates apply): Open 24 hours. Entry via Errol Flynn Boulevard from Lang Road. Access Centennial Park on foot via Lang Rd.

Special Event Clearways
Special event clearway parking restrictions will be in effect in Surry Hills, Centennial Park and Moore Park on the following roads on Saturday 8 March:
- From 12:01am to 11:59pm: Driver Ave between Lang Rd and Moore Park Rd (both sides)
- From 6am to 11:30pm: Cleveland St between South Dowling St and City Rd (southern side) and Cleveland St between Abercrombie St and South Dowling St (northern side)
- From 11am to 11:30pm: Albion St between Bourke St and Flinders St, Fitzroy St between South Dowling St and Bourke St (northern side), Lang Rd between Anzac Pde and Errol Flynn Blvd (northern side), Oxford St between Queen St and Jersey Rd (southern side), Moore Park Rd between Flinders St and Greens Rd (northern side) and Oxford St between Queen St and Victoria Ave (northern side).
- From 3pm to 11pm: Moore Park Rd between Cook Rd and Poate Rd (southern side).
Clearways are strict no-parking zones for all vehicle types and apply even to local residents and TfNSW Mobility Scheme Permit holders. Check signs carefully as vehicles left in clearways will be towed and a fee applies. If your vehicle is towed, you can search your vehicle registration at the Find My Car website to find its new location, or alternatively call 132 701 to speak to an operator.
