Important Travel Advice
Ticketholders are encouraged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time. The precinct will be busy with a concert being held at nearby Qudos Bank Arena on the same night.
Trains run regularly to Olympic Park from Lidcombe and the venue is a short walk from the station.
Remember, you'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport to and from the event. Register your details online at Opal or via the Opal Travel app ahead of time.
If you have to drive, travel with your group and pre-book your parking online – available until 11:59pm the night before the event.
Traffic may be heavier than usual on roads approaching the precinct as attendees travel to and from the event.
Opal
You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.
Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.
More ways to pay
If you have a contactless-enabled American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card, or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Available on all public transport, contactless payments are another way to pay on the Opal network. Adult Opal fare pricing applies and you will receive Opal benefits, including daily and weekly fare caps.
Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city.
The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services in both directions between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham. Metro services start running from early morning, every 5 to 10 minutes, until late at night.
Change at Epping or Central for trains towards Lidcombe then Olympic Park.

The closest station to Sydney Showground is Olympic Park.
Trains run regularly to Lidcombe where you can head to Platform Zero for a direct train to Olympic Park, running regularly until 1:30am.
To help you get home from the event, the following additional services will run:
- To Leppington, departing from Lidcombe at 12:52am - Stopping at all stations to Leppington via Granville
- To Hurstville, departing from Bondi Junction at 1:38am - Stopping at all stations to Hurstville
- To Newcastle, departing from Strathfield at 1:10am - stopping at Epping, Hornsby, Woy Woy, Gosford, Tuggerah, Wyong, Wyee, Morisset, Fassifern, Cardiff, Broadmeadow, Hamilton and Newcastle Interchange.
Trackwork
Planned trackwork is taking place on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 May on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.
- M1 Metro Line: From 4am to 9.30am, extra metro services run between Tallawong and Sydenham.
- T1 North Shore Line: On Sunday from 4am to 7.40am, trains run between Berowra and Wynyard only, some to a changed timetable. Use metro services between Chatswood, Crows Nest or Victoria Cross and the City, or change at Wynyard for a City Circle train or the light rail. Buses replace trains between Central and Strathfield.
- T1 Western Line: Richmond trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Richmond and Olympic Park. Change trains at Parramatta to continue your journey towards the City. On Sunday from 4am to 7.30am, buses replace trains between Strathfield and Central. Trains run between Penrith and Ashfield only, to a changed timetable and stopping pattern. Change at Strathfield for express and all-stations buses towards Central or remain on the train if you are travelling to Burwood, Croydon or Ashfield.
- T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: Buses replace trains between Macarthur, Glenfield and Fairfield. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and the City via the Airport, and between Fairfield and the City via Granville. Trains between Leppington and Glenfield run to a reduced frequency, buses supplement trains between these stations. Buses also replace T3 trains between Cabramatta and Lidcombe via Regents Park. On Sunday from 4am to 7.30am, buses replace Inner West trains between Ashfield and Central. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Fairfield and Schofields or Richmond. Change at Parramatta for trains towards the City. T1 trains run between Penrith and Ashfield only. Change at Strathfield for express and all-stations buses towards Central or remain on the train if you are travelling to Burwood, Croydon or Ashfield.
- T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: Buses replace trains between Liverpool, Cabramatta and Lidcombe via Regents Park. Trains run between Lidcombe and the City, some to a changed timetable. Inner West trains run between Homebush and the City. You may need to change trains to continue your journey. Buses also replace trains between Macarthur, Liverpool and Fairfield and T6 trains between Bankstown and Lidcombe. On Sunday from 4am to 7.30am, buses replace Inner West trains between Ashfield and Central. Trains run between Lidcombe and Ashfield only. Change at Strathfield for express and all-stations buses towards Central or remain on the train if you are travelling to Burwood, Croydon or Ashfield.
- T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: All Cronulla and some Waterfall trains make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville.
- T5 Cumberland Line: Buses replace trains between Glenfield and Fairfield. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Schofields and Olympic Park, and between Fairfield and the City via Granville. You may need to change services to continue your journey. Trains also run between Leppington and the City via the Airport. Trains between Leppington and Glenfield run to a reduced frequency, buses supplement trains between these stations. Some late night and early morning trains run between Fairfield and Richmond.
- T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line: Buses replace trains between Bankstown and Lidcombe. Buses also replace T3 trains between Liverpool, Cabramatta and Lidcombe. Change at Lidcombe for T1 or T2 trains towards the City or Parramatta; at Regents Park for T3 buses towards Cabramatta; at Bankstown for Southwest Link bus services towards Sydenham. Trackwork between Bankstown and Lidcombe continues until Sunday 29 June.
- T8 Airport & South Line: Buses replace trains between Macarthur, Glenfield and Fairfield. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington or Revesby and the City via the Airport. T8 trains between Sydenham and the City Circle do not run. T4 trains run between Sydenham and Bondi Junction, with some making extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville.
- T9 Northern Line: On Sunday from 4am to 7.30am, buses replace trains between Strathfield and Central. Change at Epping for metro services to the City or change at Strathfield for express and all-stations buses towards Central. Trains run between Hornsby and Strathfield, some to a changed timetable.
- Blue Mountains Line: Most trains run between Blue Mountains Line stations and Blacktown only. Change trains at Blacktown to continue your journey. Trains from Blacktown to Blue Mountains Line stations run up to 30 minutes later than the normal timetable. Bathurst trains run to the normal timetable between Bathurst and Strathfield. Some late night or early morning trains start from Strathfield or run around the City Circle. On Sunday from 4am to 7.30am, buses replace trains between Strathfield and Central. T1 trains run between Penrith and Ashfield only, to a changed timetable and stopping pattern. Change at Strathfield for express and all-stations buses towards Central or remain on the train if you are travelling to Burwood, Croydon or Ashfield.
- Central Coast & Newcastle Line: Most trains run between Central Coast & Newcastle Line stations and Strathfield only. Change at Epping for metro services to the City or change trains at Strathfield to continue your journey. Some late night or early morning trains run around the City Circle. On Sunday from 1.20am to 7.30am, buses replace trains between Strathfield and Central. Change at Epping for metro services to the City or change at Strathfield for express and all-stations buses towards Central.
- South Coast Line: From 10pm Friday, trains that normally start or end at Central, platforms 1-12 will start or end at Bondi Junction.
- Southern Highlands Line: Buses replace trains between Goulburn, Moss Vale and Glenfield. You may need to change buses to continue your journey. T8 trains run to a changed timetable between Glenfield and the City.

The following Sydney buses services run to Olympic Park:
- Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Sydney Olympic Park via Newington (this route no longer runs to or from Strathfield, if you are travelling from Strathfield catch one of the 526 buses instead).
- Route 526 runs between Burwood and Rhodes Shopping Centre via Sydney Olympic Park precinct and wharf.
- Route 533 runs between Sydney Olympic Park and Chatswood via Rhodes & North Ryde.

The closest wharf to Sydney Showground is Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. There is a connecting 526 bus to the venue or alternatively it is approximately a 40-minute walk (3.6km) from the wharf.
F3 Parramatta River services run regularly to Olympic Park, but services are very popular and may reach capacity. Keep this in mind if you’re planning on catching an F3 Parramatta River service. Plan your trip and allow plenty of extra travel time or consider the alternative public transport options available.

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines
L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with a train service towards Olympic Park from Parramatta Station.

Traffic may be heavier than usual on roads approaching Sydney Olympic Park as attendees travel to and from the expo. Travel with your group and allow extra travel time on the M4, Parramatta Road, Homebush Bay Drive and Concord Road.
Expect delays leaving as Gracie Abrams Fans travel into the precinct for a concert at nearby Qudos Bank Arena.
If you have to drive, carpool with your group pre-book your parking online ahead of time to secure a space – available until 11:59pm the night before the event unless sold out prior.
To get to your carpark and avoid the heavy traffic congestion expected at the Homebush Bay Drive roundabout, use Silverwater Road, Holker Street and Hill Road.

Visit Sydney Olympic Park – Parking to secure your parking space ahead of the event. Available until 11.59pm the night before the event. A flat rate $35 parking fee will apply.
If you have pre-booked a space, follow the directions of staff and have your parking ticket ready to show at the car park entry.
Carpool with your group and allow plenty of additional travel time. Use Silverwater Road, Holker Street and Hill Road to get to your car park and avoid the heavy traffic congestion expected at the Homebush Bay Drive roundabout.
If you haven’t pre-booked, follow the variable message signs within Sydney Olympic Park to the best available casual parking.
Traffic delays are expected after the event as attendees leave the precinct.
