Important Travel Advice

Footy fans are encouraged to plan their trip and consider the public transport options to avoid heavy traffic. The precinct will be busy with a music event takes place at nearby Sydney Showground from 5pm. 

Trains run regularly to Olympic Park from Lidcombe and the venue is a short walk from the station. Tickets include travel on public transport.  

Please note that planned trackwork on the network will affect how you travel to and from the match. You may need to change transport modes to complete your journey. Plan ahead and allow extra travel time.    

  • T1 Line trains from Richmond run between Richmond and Liverpool. You’ll need to change at Parramatta to continue your journey.  
  • T6 Line trains run to a changed timetable and reduced frequency, every 30 minutes.    
  • If you are travelling home towards the city after the match, buses replace trains between Strathfield and Central from 5.30pm. You will need to catch a replacement bus to continue your journey. Trains also do not run on the City Circle or between Central and Wynyard. 

Southwest Link buses run regularly between Sydenham and Bankstown. Catch a bus to Bankstown or Sydenham to connect with trains to Lidcombe then Olympic Park. 

If you have to drive, carpool with your group and pre-book your parking online ahead of time to secure a space – available until 11:59pm the night before the event unless sold out prior.  

Traffic delays are expected on roads approaching the precinct as fans travel to and from the match, and while other events take place in the precinct. Match Ticket Entitlements

Valid pre-purchased tickets to 2025 NRL season home games at Accor Stadium includes travel to and from Sydney Olympic Park on the following transport services. Just show your event ticket to Transport staff when boarding services: 

  • Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations)
  • Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan buses
  • Sydney Metro services
  • Sydney, Parramatta and Newcastle Light Rail services
  • Sydney and Newcastle Ferries

Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your event ticket is valid on trains until 4am the following day. 

Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.

Transport Park&Ride Car Parks

Park for free when you catch public transport. Transport Park&Ride provides up to 18 hours of free parking each day. All you have to do is complete a public transport trip. Located close to public transport hubs, Park&Ride car parks help you connect more easily to train, bus and ferry services.

Tickets to 2025 NRL season home games at Accor Stadium include travel on transport and free Park&Ride parking. When leaving the car park use the intercom button at the exit gate to speak with the operator and show your event ticket.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city. 

The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham from early morning until late.

Change at Epping or Central to connect with train services towards Olympic Park.

The closest station to Accor Stadium is Olympic Park.  

Trains run regularly to Lidcombe where you can head to Platform Zero for a direct train to Olympic Park, running every 10 minutes until late.  

To help you get to the match, the following additional trains will run:  

  • Leaving Campbelltown at 3.55pm  – stopping at all stations to Granville then Olympic Park. 
  • Leaving Central at 4.15pm – stopping at Redfern, Strathfield and Olympic Park 

Southwest Link buses run regularly between Sydenham and Bankstown. Catch a bus to Bankstown or Sydenham to connect with trains to Lidcombe then Olympic Park.

Trackwork

Planned trackwork is taking place on Saturday 19 July on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.

  • M1 Metro Line: Train trackwork on the City Circle and T1 North Shore Line may affect how you travel. Extra metro services run between Tallawong, the City and Sydenham. 
  • City Circle: Trains will not run on the City Circle, or between Central and Wynyard. For travel around the City use the metro, T4 trains, light rail or local bus services. T4 trains continue to run between Central and Bondi Junction. Light rail services run between Central and Circular Quay. Trackwork also affects trains on other lines. 
  • T1 North Shore Line: Trains run between Berowra and Wynyard only, some to a changed timetable. Trains do not run between Wynyard and Central, or on the City Circle.  Use metro services between Chatswood, Crows Nest or Victoria Cross and the City, or change at Wynyard for the light rail. Trackwork also affects trains on other lines. 
  • T1 Western Line: Richmond trains run between Richmond and Liverpool. Change at Parramatta for trains towards the City. From 9.30pm Friday to 6am Saturday and from 5.30pm Saturday to 6am Sunday, buses replace trains between Strathfield and Central. Trains run to a changed timetable between Penrith and Strathfield, making extra stops at Flemington and Homebush. From 6am to 5.30pm, trains run to a changed timetable between Penrith and Central, platforms 1-14 only, and make an extra stop at Burwood.  
  • T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: From 9.30pm Friday to 6am Saturday and from 5.30pm Saturday to 6am Sunday, buses replace trains between Strathfield and Central. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Olympic Park via Granville, or between Leppington and Lidcombe via Regents Park. Change trains at Lidcombe to continue your journey. T1 trains run between Lidcombe and Strathfield. T9 trains run between Strathfield and Ashfield. From 6am to 5.30pm, buses replace Inner West Line trains between Strathfield and Central. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Central, platforms 1-14, via Granville or Regents Park, making an extra stop at Homebush, then stopping at Strathfield, Burwood, Redfern and Central only. T9 trains run between Strathfield and Ashfield, making extra stops at Burwood and Croydon. Trackwork on the City Circle may also affect how you travel. Change at Central for metro, light rail or local bus services to continue your journey. 
  • T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: From 9.30pm Friday to 6am Saturday and from 5.30pm Saturday to 6am Sunday, buses replace trains between Strathfield and Central. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington or Liverpool and Lidcombe only. Change trains at Lidcombe to continue your journey. T1 trains run between Lidcombe and Strathfield. T9 trains run between Strathfield and Ashfield. From 6am to 5.30pm, buses replace Inner West Line trains between Strathfield and Central. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Central, platforms 1-14, via Regents Park, making an extra stop at Homebush, then stopping at Strathfield, Burwood, Redfern and Central only. T9 trains run between Strathfield and Ashfield, making extra stops at Burwood and Croydon. Trackwork on the City Circle may also affect how you travel. Change at Central for metro, light rail or local bus services to continue your journey. 
  • T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: All Cronulla and some Waterfall trains make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville. From 4am to 11.30am, buses replace trains between Waterfall and Sutherland. Trains run to a changed timetable between Cronulla, Sutherland and Bondi Junction. 
  • T5 Cumberland Line: Trains may run to a changed timetable. Extra trains run between Richmond and Liverpool. 
  • T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and reduced frequency, every 30 minutes.  
  • T8 Airport Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern. You may need to change trains to continue your journey. Revesby trains run between Revesby and Central only, via the Airport. Most Macarthur trains run between Macarthur and Sydenham only.  Change at Revesby for trains to Airport stations or change at Sydenham for T4 trains towards Bondi Junction, or metro services to the City.  Early morning and late-night trains run between Macarthur and Central via the Airport. T8 trains do not run between Sydenham and the City. T4 trains run between Sydenham and Bondi Junction, and make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville. Trackwork on the City Circle may also affect how you travel. Change at Central for metro, light rail or local bus services to continue your journey. 
  • T9 Northern Line: From 9.50pm Friday to 6am Saturday and from 5.30pm Saturday to 6am Sunday, trains run between Hornsby and Ashfield only. Buses replace trains between Strathfield and Central. From 6am to 5.30pm, trains run between Hornsby and Ashfield only. Express trains run between Strathfield and Central. Change at Epping for metro services to the City or change at Strathfield for express buses or trains to Central. Remain on the train if travelling to Burwood, Croydon or Ashfield. Trackwork on the City Circle may also affect how you travel. Change at Central for metro, light rail or local bus services to continue your journey. 
  • Blue Mountains Line: From 9.50pm Friday to 6am Saturday and from 5.30pm Saturday to 6am Sunday, trains run between Blue Mountains Line stations and Blacktown only. Change trains at Blacktown to continue your journey. Buses replace trains between Strathfield and Central. From 6am to 5.30pm, trains run between Blue Mountains Line stations and Central to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central. On Saturday, the 5.52pm Central to Bathurst service will leave Central at 5.38pm, 14 minutes earlier than the normal timetable. Trackwork on the City Circle may also affect how you travel. Change at Central for metro, light rail or local bus services to continue your journey. 
  • Central Coast & Newcastle Line: From 9.50pm Friday to 6am Saturday and from 5.30pm Saturday to 6am Sunday, trains run between Central Coast & Newcastle Line stations and Strathfield only. Buses replace trains between Strathfield and Central. Change at Epping for metro services to the City or change at Strathfield for express buses to Central. From 6am to 5.30pm, trains run between Central Coast & Newcastle Line stations and Central to a changed timetable. From 7am to 10.30am, trains towards Hornsby will not stop at Cowan. Buses run from Hawkesbury River to Cowan, and from Cowan to Berowra, in that direction only. Change at Hawkesbury River for a bus to Cowan. From Cowan, catch a bus to Berowra then change for a train to continue your journey. Trains towards Gosford continue to stop at Cowan. 
  • South Coast Line: From 3am to 11am, buses replace trains between Dapto, Port Kembla and Sutherland. Trains run to a changed timetable between Bomaderry, Kiama and Dapto. T4 trains run between Sutherland and Bondi Junction.

The following Sydney bus services run to Olympic Park: 

  • Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Sydney Olympic Park via Newington. 
  • Route 526 runs between Strathfield and Rhodes Shopping Centre via Sydney Olympic Park precinct and wharf.  
  • Route 533 runs between Sydney Olympic Park and Chatswood via Rhodes & North Ryde.

The closest wharf to Accor Stadium is Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. There is a connecting 526 bus to the venue or alternatively it is approximately a 40-minute walk (3.6km) from the wharf. 

F3 Parramatta River services run regularly to Olympic Park, but services are very popular and may reach capacity. Keep this in mind if you’re planning on catching an F3 Parramatta River service. Plan your trip and allow plenty of extra travel time or consider the alternative public transport options available. 

F3 Parramatta River ferries may be affected by low tide between Parramatta and Rydalmere and replaced by buses. Check for updates here (pdf 77KB).

L1 Dulwich Hill Line 

L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner

Change at Central for trains to Lidcombe then Olympic Park. 

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines 

L2 Randwick Line light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford Line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily, plan your trip using the Trip Planner

Change at Central for trains to Lidcombe then Olympic Park. 

Please note that planned train trackwork on the City Circle and T1 North Shore Line may affect how you travel. Plan ahead using Trip Planner. Trains do not run between Central and Wynyard, or on the City Circle. Use light rail services to Wynyard and Circular Quay. For travel to T1 North Shore Line stations change at Wynyard or use metro services. From 7am to 7pm, extra L2 and L3 light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick or Juniors Kingsford. 

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line 

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner

Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with a train service to Olympic Park from Parramatta Station.

Traffic will be heavier than usual on roads approaching Sydney Olympic Park as footy fans travel to the match and while other events are taking place in the precinct. Travel with your group and allow extra travel time on the M4, Parramatta Road, Homebush Bay Drive and Concord Road. 

Consider catching public transport or parking at a nearby station commuter carpark and continuing your trip by train to Olympic Park to avoid traffic delays. Match tickets include travel on public transport.  

If you have to drive, carpool with your group pre-book your parking online ahead of time to secure a space – available until 11:59pm the night before the event unless sold out prior.  

To get to your carpark and avoid the heavy traffic congestion expected at the Homebush Bay Drive roundabout, use Silverwater Road, Holker Street and Hill Road.

Taxis are available on Herb Elliott Avenue near the Pullman Hotel.

If you’re using taxis or rideshare, remember that roads may be closed within the precinct. Allow plenty of extra travel time due to the increased traffic expected in the precinct before and after the event. 

When leaving, choose a pick-up location away from the immediate area around the venue to avoid delays.

Sydney Olympic Car Parks

Visit Sydney Olympic Park – Parking to secure your parking space ahead of the game, available until 11:59pm the night before the event unless sold out prior. A flat rate $35 parking fee will apply.  

Alternatively, consider parking at a nearby train station commuter car park and continuing the trip to Olympic Park by train. Match tickets include travel on public transport.  

If you have pre-booked a space, follow the directions of staff and have your parking ticket ready to show at the car park entry. Carpool with your group and allow plenty of additional travel time. Use Silverwater Road, Holker Street and Hill Road to get to your car park and avoid the heavy traffic congestion expected at the Homebush Bay Drive roundabout. 

Traffic delays are expected after the game as fans leave the precinct.  

Train Station Commuter Parking 

A number of key train stations have large commuter car parks, so consider parking at a station near you then continuing your journey by train to Olympic Park. 

  • T1 Western Line: Seveen Hills, Blacktown, Rooty Hill, St Marys, Emu Plains and Penrith. 
  • T1 North Shore & T9 Northern Line: Gordon, Thornleigh and Concord West. 
  • T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: Sutherland and Kogarah. 
  • T8 Airport & South Line: Padstow, Revesby, Fairfield, Warwick Farm, Glenfield, Holsworthy, Macarthur, Campbelltown and Leumeah.
