Important Travel Advice
With up to 50,000 expected, ticketholders are urged to leave the car at home at catch public transport to avoid getting caught in traffic delays.
- Event tickets include travel on all modes of public transport. Simply show your event ticket to transport staff when boarding services
- Trains run regularly to Olympic Park from Lidcombe and the stadium is a short walk from the station.
- Please note that planned trackwork is taking place on the T1 Western Line between Penrith, Richmond and Granville. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping patterns between Granville and the City. Trackwork on other parts of the network may also affect your trip home. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
If you have no other option but to drive, pre-book parking to secure a space:
- If you need to drive, pre-book parking to guarantee a car space. Carpool with your group and allow extra travel time. A flat rate $35 parking fee will apply.
- If you have pre-booked parking, follow the directions of staff and have your parking ticket ready to show at the car park entry. If you haven't pre-booked you'll need to catch transport as there will be no onsite parking available.
- Traffic will be very heavy after the show as attendees leave at the same time. Expect to allow up to an hour of additional travel time exiting car parks.
- You can also consider parking at a nearby train station commuter car park and continuing your trip by train to Olympic Park. You'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport
- Allow plenty of extra travel time on roads and plan your trip before leaving home. You can find real-time updates on traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.
- If you're getting dropped off or catching rideshare, taxi ranks are located on Herb Elliot Avenue. Allow plenty of extra travel time on the roads.
Ticket entitlements
Valid pre-purchased tickets to Monster Jam at Accor Stadium on Saturday 11 October include travel to and from Sydney Olympic Park on the following transport services, just show your event ticket to transport staff when boarding:
- Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations)
- Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan buses
- Sydney Metro services
- Sydney, Parramatta and Newcastle Light Rail services
- Sydney and Newcastle Ferries
Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card or contactless payment method, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your event ticket is valid on the modes of public transport listed above until 4am the following day.
Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.
Transport Park&Ride Car Parks
Park for free when you catch public transport. Transport Park&Ride provides up to 18 hours of free parking each day. All you have to do is complete a public transport trip. Located close to public transport hubs, Park&Ride car parks help you connect more easily to train, bus and ferry services.
Tickets to Monster Jam at Accor Stadium include travel on transport and free Park&Ride parking. When leaving the car park use the intercom button at the exit gate to speak with the operator and show your event ticket.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city.
The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham from early morning until late.
Change at Central for express trains to Olympic Park, running from 1.30pm. Alternatively, change at Epping for a train service towards Strathfield then Olympic Park.

Planned trackwork is taking place on Saturday 11 October on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.
- M1 Metro Line: Metro services will not run between Central and Sydenham. Services run between Tallawong and Martin Place, and between Martin Place and Central only. Change at Martin Place for metro services towards Tallawong or Central, or T4 trains to Sydenham.
- T1 North Shore Line: From 11.30pm to 5.40am, trains run between Berowra and Wynyard only, some to a changed timetable. Use metro services between Chatswood, Crows Nest or Victoria Cross and the City, or change at Wynyard for a City Circle train or the light rail. Buses replace trains between Central and Strathfield.
- T1 Western Line: Buses replace trains between Penrith, Richmond and Granville. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Granville and the City. Buses also run between some T1 Western Line stations and Tallawong. Frequent metro services run between Tallawong and the City. From 11pm to 5.40am, buses replace trains between Strathfield and Central. Trains run between Granville and Ashfield only, to a changed timetable and stopping pattern. Change at Strathfield for express and all-stations buses towards Central or remain on the train if you are travelling to Burwood, Croydon or Ashfield.
- T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: Inner West trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Liverpool and the City. From 11pm to 5.40am, buses replace trains between Strathfield and Central. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Ashfield via Granville and between Liverpool and Lidcombe via Regents Park. Change at Lidcombe for trains towards the City. T1 trains run between Penrith and Ashfield only. Change at Strathfield for express and all-stations buses towards Central or remain on the train if you are travelling to Burwood, Croydon or Ashfield.
- T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: Trains run to a changed timetable between Liverpool and Lidcombe only. You may need to change trains at Lidcombe to continue your journey. T2 trains run between Leppington or Liverpool and the City via Granville. From 11pm to 5.40am,, buses replace trains between Strathfield and Central. Trains run to a changed timetable between Liverpool and Lidcombe. Change at Lidcombe for trains towards the Ashfield. T2 trains run between Leppington and Ashfield only. Change at Strathfield for express and all-stations buses towards Central or remain on the train if you are travelling to Burwood, Croydon or Ashfield.
- T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra: All Cronulla and some Waterfall trains make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville. From 4am to 11.30am, buses replace trains between Waterfall and Sutherland. Trains run to a changed timetable between Cronulla, Sutherland and Bondi Junction.
- T5 Cumberland Line: Buses replace trains between Richmond and Granville. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and the City via Granville and between Liverpool and Lidcombe via Regents Park. From 11pm to 5.40am, trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and Ashfield via Granville and between Liverpool and Lidcombe via Regents Park. Buses replace all trains between Strathfield and Central.
- T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and reduced frequency, every 30 minutes.
- T8 Airport & South Line: Trains will not run between Sydenham and the City Circle. T4 trains run between Sydenham and North Sydney, making extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville. Trains via the Airport run to the normal timetable.
- T9 Northern Line: From 11pm to 5.40am, buses replace trains between Strathfield and Central. Change at Epping for metro services to the City or change at Strathfield for express and all-stations buses towards Central. Trains run between Hornsby and Strathfield, some to a changed timetable.
- Blue Mountains Line: Buses replace trains between Penrith and Granville. Trains from Penrith to Blue Mountains Line stations run up to 45 minutes later than the normal timetable. Bathurst trains continue to run between Bathurst and Central, to a changed timetable. From 11pm to 5.40am, buses also replace trains between Strathfield and Central. Trains run between Granville and Ashfield only, to a changed timetable and stopping pattern. Change at Strathfield for express and all-stations buses towards Central or remain on the train if you are travelling to Burwood, Croydon or Ashfield
- Central Coast & Newcastle Line: Most trains run between Central Coast & Newcastle Line stations and Strathfield only. Change at Epping for metro services to the City, or change trains at Strathfield to continue your journey. From 7.30pm to 5am, buses replace trains between Wyong and Hornsby. Trains run to a changed timetable between Newcastle Interchange and Wyong. Until 11pm, T1 and T9 trains run between Hornsby and the City, some to a changed timetable and stopping pattern. From 11pm to 5.40am, buses replace trains between Strathfield and Central. T1 trains run between Hornsby and Wynyard, T9 trains run between Hornsby and Strathfield some to a changed timetable and stopping pattern. Change at Epping for metro services to the City or change at Strathfield for express and all-stations buses towards Central.
- Hunter Line: From 8.50pm to 2am, buses replace trains between Telarah and Newcastle Interchange.
- South Coast Line: From 12.50am to 3am, buses replace trains between Wollongong and Kiama. From 3am to 11am, buses replace trains between Dapto, Port Kembla and Sutherland. Trains run to a changed timetable between Bomaderry, Kiama and Dapto, and T4 Illawarra trains run between Sutherland and Bondi Junction.
- Southern Highlands Line: From 4.40am to 4.50pm, buses replace trains between Goulburn, Moss Vale and Campbelltown. T8 Airport & South Line trains run between Campbelltown and the City via the Airport.

The following Sydney buses services run to Olympic Park:
- Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Sydney Olympic Park via Newington.
- Route 526 runs between Strathfield and Rhodes Shopping Centre via Sydney Olympic Park precinct and wharf.
- Route 533 runs from Sydney Olympic Park to Chatswood via Rhodes & North Ryde.

The closest wharf to Accor Stadium is Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. There is a connecting 526 bus to the venue or alternatively it is approximately a 40-minute walk (3.6km) from the wharf.

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines
L2 Randwick Line light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford Line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with a train service to Lidcombe then Olympic Park from Parramatta Station.
Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.

Traffic may be heavier than usual on roads approaching Sydney Olympic Park as attendees travel to and from the show. Travel with your group and allow extra travel time on the M4, Parramatta Road, Homebush Bay Drive and Concord Road.
Consider catching public transport or parking at a nearby station commuter carpark and continuing your trip by train to Olympic Park to avoid traffic delays. Event tickets include travel on public transport.
If you have to drive, carpool with your group pre-book your parking online ahead of time to secure a space – available until 11:59pm the night before the event unless sold out prior.
To get to your carpark and avoid the heavy traffic congestion expected at the Homebush Bay Drive roundabout, use Silverwater Road, Holker Street and Hill Road.

Stations with large car parks on the western line where you can change for a frequent direct train to Olympic Park include:
- T1 Western Line: Seven Hills, Blacktown, Emu Plains, Rooty Hill, St Marys and Penrith.
- T1 North Shore & T9 Northern Line: Gordon, Thornleigh and Concord West.
- T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: Sutherland and Kogarah.
- T8 Airport & South Line: Padstow, Revesby, Glenfield, Holsworthy, Macarthur, Campbelltown and Leumeah.
