Important Travel Advice
Sydney Olympic Park will be busy on Saturday with around 70,000 music fans also travelling to the precinct for the Metallica concert at nearby Accor Stadium.
Boiler Room attendees are encouraged to leave the car at home and catch public transport to avoid getting caught in traffic delays.
- Express trains will run from Central to Olympic Park as well as regular services from Lidcombe. The venue is a short walk from the station.
- You'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport to and from the event. Register your details online at Opal or via the Opal Travel app ahead of time.
If you have no other option but to drive, pre-book parking:
- If you need to drive, pre-book parking to guarantee a car space. Carpool with your group and allow extra travel time to arrive. A flat rate $35 parking fee will apply.
- If you have pre-booked parking, follow the directions of staff and have your parking ticket ready to show at the car park entry.
- Traffic will be very heavy after the show as attendees leave at the same time. Expect to allow up to an hour of additional travel time exiting car parks.
- You can also consider parking at a nearby train station commuter car park and continuing your trip by train to Olympic Park. You'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport
- Allow plenty of extra travel time on roads and plan your trip before leaving home. You can find real-time updates on traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.

Opal
You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.
Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.
More ways to pay
If you have a contactless-enabled American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card, or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Available on all public transport, contactless payments are another way to pay on the Opal network. Adult Opal fare pricing applies and you will receive Opal benefits, including daily and weekly fare caps.
Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city.
The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham from early morning until late.
Change at Central for trains to Lidcombe then Olympic Park. Alternatively, change at Epping for a train service towards Strathfield then Olympic Park.
Trackwork – weekend Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 November:
- 
	Metro services will not run between Central and Sydenham on Saturday and Sunday. Services run between Tallawong and Martin Place, and between Martin Place and Central only. Change at Martin Place for metro services towards Tallawong or Central.

The closest station to Sydney Showground is Olympic Park.
Express trains will run from Central and some western line stations. Trains will also run regularly to Lidcombe where you can change for a direct train to Olympic Park regularly until late.
Trackwork
Planned trackwork is taking place on Saturday 15 October on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.
- M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line: On Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 November Metro services do not run between Central and Sydenham. Services run between Tallawong and Martin Place, and between Martin Place and Central only. Change at Martin Place for metro services towards Tallawong or Central. For travel to and from Waterloo use local buses or trains from Redfern.
- T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: From 6.30am to 10.30am, trains run to a changed timetable between Liverpool and Lidcombe, and between Homebush and the City only. You may need to change trains to continue your journey. T1 and T2 trains run between Lidcombe and the City.
- T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line: From 6.30am to 10.30am, trains run to a changed timetable and reduced frequency, every 30 minutes.
- Hunter Line: On Saturday from 9pm to 2am, buses replace trains between Telarah and Newcastle Interchange.
- South Coast Line: From 7.30am to 11.30am, at Waterfall and Helensburgh, all trains leave from platform 1. From 12pm to 4pm, at Helensburgh and Waterfall, all trains leave from platform 2.
- Southern Highlands Line: From 4.40am to 4.50pm, buses replace trains between Goulburn, Moss Vale and Campbelltown. T8 Airport & South Line trains run between Campbelltown and the City via the Airport.

The following Sydney buses services run to Olympic Park:
- Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Sydney Olympic Park via Newington.
- Route 526 runs between Strathfield and Rhodes Shopping Centre via Sydney Olympic Park precinct and wharf.
- Route 533 runs from Sydney Olympic Park to Chatswood via Rhodes & North Ryde.

Bus Diversions
Route 525, 526 and 533 services will divert while road closures are in place. Check back closer to the event for more details.

The closest wharf to Sydney Showground is Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. There is a connecting 526 bus to the venue or alternatively it is approximately a 40-minute walk (3.6km) from the wharf.
F3 Parramatta River services run regularly to Olympic Park, but services are very popular and may reach capacity. Keep this in mind if you’re planning on catching an F3 Parramatta River service. Plan your trip and allow plenty of extra travel time or consider the alternative public transport options available.
F3 Parramatta River ferries may be affected by low tide between Parramatta and Rydalmere and replaced by buses. Check for updates here.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line
L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines
L2 Randwick Line light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford Line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Change at Central for express trains to Olympic Park
Planned Maintenance - Saturday 15 to Friday 21 November inclusive
- L2 Randwick Line and L3 Kingsford Line light rail services will not run between Circular Quay and Town Hall. Use Trains or Metro services instead.
- Services will continue to run between Town Hall and Randwick or Juniors Kingsford.
- Plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with a train service to Lidcombe then Olympic Park from Parramatta Station.
Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.

Traffic may be heavier than usual on roads approaching Sydney Olympic Park as attendees travel to and from the show. Travel with your group and allow extra travel time on the M4, Parramatta Road, Homebush Bay Drive and Concord Road.
If you have to drive, carpool with your group pre-book your parking online ahead of time to secure a space – available until 11:59pm the night before the event unless sold out prior.
To get to your carpark and avoid the heavy traffic congestion expected at the Homebush Bay Drive roundabout, use Silverwater Road, Holker Street and Hill Road.
Road Closures
Sydney Olympic Park Authority will close local roads in the precinct to accommodate increased public transport services and ensure pedestrian safety during the event. For road closure details, visit the Sydney Olympic Park interactive map.

Olympic Park Car Parks
Visit Sydney Olympic Park – Parking to secure your parking space ahead of the event, available until 11:59pm the night before the event unless sold out prior. A flat rate $35 parking fee will apply

Use Silverwater Road, Holker Street and Hill Road to get to your car park and avoid the heavy traffic congestion expected at the Homebush Bay Drive roundabout. Traffic delays are expected after the event as attendees leave the precinct.

Train Station Commuter Parking
A number of key train stations have large commuter car parks, so consider parking at a station near you then catching one of the extra trains to Olympic Park.
Stations with large car parks on the western line where you can change for a frequent direct train to Olympic Park include:
- T1 Western Line: Seven Hills, Blacktown, Emu Plains, Rooty Hill, St Marys and Penrith.
Stations with large car parks on other train lines that require one interchange by train to get to Olympic Park include:
- T1 North Shore & T9 Northern Line: Gordon, Thornleigh and Concord West.
- T2 Inner West & Leppington Line: Fairfield, Warwick Farm, Leppington and Edmonson Park.
- T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: Sutherland and Kogarah.
- T8 Airport & South Line: Padstow, Revesby, Glenfield, Holsworthy, Macarthur, Campbelltown and Leumeah.
