The annual Parkes Elvis Festival is back in 2026 with over five rockin' days. Parkes will come alive to celebrate Elvis' and all things Rock 'n' Roll.
The Festival features a jam-packed five-day program of events, including look-a-like contests, Tribute to Elvis competitions, Street Parade, displays of Elvis artefacts at Greg Page’s The Kings Castle Elvis Exhibit, the Gospel Service, the Cars of the Era show and more than 200 other unique Elvis-themed events.
Parkes Elvis Festival is something on everyone’s bucket list, and why wouldn’t it be when people of all ages can don a wig and glasses to relive the rock’n’roll heyday that took the world by storm!

Alternatively, on Mondays, the Broken Hill Outback Explorer runs between Sydney and stops at Parkes. Customer can catch the return service on Tuesday. Alternatively, the NSW TrainLink Dubbo XPT runs daily between Sydney and Dubbo, stopping to connect with daily coach service from Orange to Parkes.

Large crowds are expected to attend the annual 5-day Parkes Elvis Festival from Wednesday 7 January to Sunday 11 January. The following roads will be closed to accommodate crowds:
From 6am Wednesday to 8pm Sunday - Short St will be closed from Clarinda St to Welcome St.
From 6am Friday 9 Jan to 7am Sunday 11Jan - Sections of Clarinda St, Church St and Court St will be closed.
From 6am Saturday to midday Sunday - Sections of Bushman St, Victoria St, and Caledonia St will be closed to facilitate the Elvis Street Parade.
Motorists should allow extra travel time, be aware of increased pedestrian movement and follow instructions of traffic controllers diverting traffic around closures
