Important travel advice
The Sydney Royal Easter Show is back on over 12 days from Thursday 2 to Monday 13 April at Sydney Olympic Park.
Plan ahead as you’ll need to purchase a ticket for a specific day you wish to visit the Show. Tickets are non-transferable to other Show days as strict daily limit of tickets are in place. For more information and to purchase your Show ticket, visit Easter Show – tickets. Consider visiting on a weekday to avoid the largest crowds, especially if you’re visiting with young children.
There are two entry gates to the Show - the Main entry gate on Olympic Blvd near Olympic Park train station and the Plaza entry gate near P1 car park. For detailed Pavilion opening times see the Easter Show website.
Transport
- Your ticket to the Show includes event entry and travel on all modes of public transport. Simply show your Easter Show ticket to transport staff when boarding services. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner or free Opal Travel app.
- Express and limited-stop trains will run to Olympic Park from Central and Western Line stations on weekends with some additional services on weekdays.
- Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses will run each day of the Easter Show from early morning until around 2.30pm, with return buses leaving Olympic Park from 2pm until 10.30pm each night. Buses will run every 10 to 20 minutes, timetables vary on weekdays and weekends. Additional buses will operate on Friday 3 April for fans attending the NRL game at Accor Stadium and on Thursday 9 April (Seniors Day), return buses start leaving Olympic Park from 1pm. - Trackwork will continue on parts of the rail network during the Show and may affect your trip by train or metro, depending on where you are travelling from, so plan ahead before leaving home.
Driving
- If you need to drive, it’s essential to pre-book parking online in advance. Car parks in Olympic Park are likely to sell out each day of the show, so get in early and secure your parking space now. Pre-booking is available until 11:59pm the night before your visit, unless sold out prior.
- If you have pre-booked parking, follow directions of staff and have your parking ticket ready to show at the car park entry.
- If you haven't pre-booked parking for these dates do not drive to Olympic Park. You will need to catch public transport as there will be no parking on-site. You can also consider parking at a nearby commuter car park and continuing your trip by train or bus to Olympic Park, at no extra cost.
- Traffic will be heavier than usual on roads approaching the precinct, so plan to arrive early if you’re driving and allow plenty of extra travel time on the roads. You can find real-time updates on traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.
Keep in mind other events will be held in the precinct during the Show, so it’ll be busier than usual on the roads and on transport services on the days listed below. Plan ahead and make sure to pre-book parking.
- Friday 3 April, Good Friday – NRL Rabbitohs v Bulldogs at Accor Stadium from 4.05pm
- Thursday 9 April – NRL Bulldogs v Panthers at Accor Stadium from 7.50pm
- Friday 10 April – A Day to Remember & Papa Roach at Qudos Bank Arena from 6.30pm

Event ticket travel entitlements
Valid pre-purchased tickets to the 2026 Sydney Royal Easter Show include travel to and from Sydney Olympic Park on the following transport services, just show your event ticket to transport staff when boarding. Sydney Royal Easter Show 2026 official volunteers are also entitled to travel on the following public transport services:
- Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations) *
- Sydney Metro services
- Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses
- Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan buses
- Sydney, Parramatta and Newcastle Light Rail services
- Sydney and Newcastle Ferries
Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card or contactless payment method, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your Easter Show ticket is valid on the modes of public transport listed above until 4am the following day.
* Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.
Transport Park&Ride Car Parks
Park for free when you catch public transport. Transport Park&Ride provides up to 18 hours of free parking each day. All you have to do is complete a public transport trip. Located close to public transport hubs, Park&Ride car parks help you connect more easily to train, bus and ferry services.
Tickets to the 2026 Sydney Royal Easter Show include travel on transport and free Park&Ride parking. When leaving the car park use the intercom button at the exit gate to speak with the operator and show your event ticket.
If you use a Transport Connect account to access Park&Ride, the boom gate will automatically open as you leave the car park so you’ll need to request a refund in your account.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city.
The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services in both directions between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham. Metro services start running from early morning until late. Please note trackwork and a full line closure is taking place on the Easter Long Weekend.
Change at Central to connect with express trains running to Olympic Park. Alternatively you can connect with Major Event Buses to Olympic Park from Metro North West stations, see details below.
Travel on metro and Major Event Buses is included in your Show ticket – simply show your ticket to staff when boarding services. At Metro stations, a dedicated opal gate will remain open for Show ticketholders to access the station. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner or free Opal Travel app.
Trackwork
Trackwork – Easter Long weekend Friday 3 to Monday 6 April
- Full line closures - No metro services will run between Tallawong and Sydenham
- Replacement buses will operate between Tallawong and Chatswood. Use trains between Epping or Chatswood, the City and Sydenham.
Connect with Major Event Buses
You can also connect with Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses routes 1A, 1B, 5A and 5B from the following North West Metro stations to get to the concert:
- Route 1A: Chatswood and North Ryde stations
- Route 1B: Macquarie Park Station
- Route 5A: Hills Showground and Castle Hill stations
- Route 5B: Tallawong, Rouse Hill, Kellyville, Bella Vista and Norwest stations
Park & Ride at commuter car parks
Consider parking at existing commuter car parks at Metro North West stations and connecting with Major Event Buses Route 5A or 5B to Olympic Park. Large commuter carparks are located at the following stations.
- Tallawong – 1000 spaces
- Kellyville – 1,389 parking spaces, including 97 accessible car spaces. A temporary overflow car park has opened at the corner of Decora Drive and Darani Avenue, offering 150 extra spaces until mid-2026.
- Bella Vista – 800 spaces
- Hills Showground – 600 spaces

The closest station to the Sydney Royal Easter Show is Olympic Park. From the station it's a short walk to the Show's main entry gates.
Express and limited-stop trains will run to Olympic Park from Central and Western Line stations on weekends with some additional services on weekdays. Travel on trains is included in your Easter Show ticket.
Attendees are reminded the Show typically sees its largest crowds over the Easter Long Weekend so allow plenty of extra travel time when catching transport to and from the Show during this time, or consider visiting on a weekday instead.

Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses will run on all nine routes each day of the Easter Show from the early morning until late at night. Buses run from the Northern Beaches, Inner West, Sutherland Shire, North Western Suburbs, Hills District and Southern Suburbs to Olympic Park and return from 2 to 13 April 2026.
Travel on Major Event Buses is included in your ticket to the Easter Show. Simply show your event ticket to the bus driver when boarding buses.
- Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses will run to Olympic Park each day of the Easter Show from early morning until around 2.30pm.
- Buses will run every 10 to 20 minutes each day, timetables vary on weekdays and weekends and depending on the route - see detailed timings below or use the Trip Planner for up to date timetable information.
- Return buses leaving Olympic Park will run from 2.30pm until 10.30pm on weekdays and weekends. The last bus on each route will leave at 10.30pm.
- Additional buses will operate on Friday 3 April for fans attending the NRL game at Accor Stadium and on Thursday 9 April (Seniors Day), return buses start leaving Olympic Park from 1pm.

Big crowds are expected over the Easter long weekend so, please allow extra travel time and be prepared to queue when boarding major event buses which will be in high demand. If queues are long, consider catching regular route buses to nearby train stations and continuing your trip to Olympic Park by train at no extra cost. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

- Route 1A: Narrabeen, Collaroy, Dee Why, Beacon Hill, Forestville, Roseville, Chatswood West, North Ryde and Top Ryde then Sydney Olympic Park, and return.
- Route 1B: Warriewood, Mona Vale, Terrey Hills, St Ives, West Pymble, Macquarie Park and Top Ryde then Sydney Olympic Park, and return.
- Route 2: Glebe, Rozelle, Drummoyne, Hunters Hill, Gladesville, Putney and Meadowbank then Sydney Olympic Park, and return.
- Route 4: Maroubra, Eastgardens, Mascot, Brighton-Le-Sands, Bexley, Campsie and Strathfield South then Sydney Olympic Park, and return.
- Route 5A: Hills Showground, Castle Hill, Baulkham Hill and Northmead then Sydney Olympic Park, and return.
- Route 5B: Tallawong, Rouse Hill, Bella Vista, Norwest, Baulkham Hills and Northmead then Sydney Olympic Park, and return.
- Route 6: Sutherland, Menai, Illawong, Bangor, Padstow, Bankstown, Yagoona and Chullora then Sydney Olympic Park, and return.
- Route 7: Cronulla, Miranda, Sylvania, Hurstville and Greenacre then Sydney Olympic Park, and return.
- Route 8: Dural, Cherrybrook, Carlingford, Pennant Hills, Telopea and Ermington then Sydney Olympic Park, and return.

Routes 1A, 1B, 2 and 4 drop off and pick up from the Aquatic Terminal on Olympic Boulevarde near Herb Elliott Avenue. Routes 5A, 5B, 6, 7 and 8 drop off and pick up from the Plaza Terminal on Olympic Boulevarde near Kevin Coombs Avenue, opposite Qudos Bank Arena. From Olympic Park
- Return buses from Olympic Park will start leaving from 2.30pm on weekdays and weekends. The last bus on each route will leave at 10.30pm.
- On Thursday 9 April only (Seniors Day), return buses will commence departing Olympic Park from 1pm.

Regular route buses
Bus services will run to a regular timetable during the Easter Show and a changed timetable over the Easter Long Weekend. Travel on buses is included in your ticket to the Easter Show. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
The following regular route services run to Sydney Olympic Park:
- Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Sydney Olympic Park via Newington.
- Route 526 runs between Strathfield and Rhodes Shopping Centre via Sydney Olympic Park precinct and wharf.
- Route 533 runs between Sydney Olympic Park and Chatswood via Rhodes & North Ryde.
Not all services run late on weeknight or weekends so make sure to plan ahead. Buses will be diverting due to road closures.
Olympic Park car park shuttle buses
P3 and P4 shuttle buses will pick up in northern bus terminal near Qudos Bank Arena during the Easter Show.
P5 and P6 car parks are closed during the Show.

The closest wharf to the precinct is Sydney Olympic Park Wharf which is around a 40 minute walk (3.6km). There is a connecting 526 bus to the venue. Travel on ferries is included in your ticket to the Easter Show.
Sydney Ferries will run to a regular timetable during the Show but are very popular and may reach capacity especially on weekends, public holidays and when there are multiple events being held in the precinct.
Keep this in mind if you’re planning on catching an F3 Parramatta River service. Plan your trip ahead and allow plenty of extra travel time or consider the alternative public transport options available.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line
L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 6am to 11pm daily, and until midnight on Friday. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
Change at Central for express trains to Olympic Park. Travel on light rail is included in your ticket to the Easter Show.
L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines
L2 Randwick Line light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford Line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Change at Central for express trains to Olympic Park. Travel on light rail is included in your ticket to the Easter Show.
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with a train service towards Lidcombe then Olympic Park from Parramatta Station.
Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.

Heavy traffic is expected on the M4 Mwy, Homebush Bay Dr, Concord Rd, Silverwater Rd, Centenary Drive, Lane Cove Rd and Epping Rd.

Olympic Park car parks

The closest car park to the Showground and Easter Show entry is P1 car park. Note P5 and P6 car parks are closed during the Easter Show.
Car Park shuttle buses will be running between Dawn Fraser Avenue (near the rail station) and P3 and P4 car parks, in a limited and reduced capacity, with priority given to patrons with a disability, parents with prams and the elderly.
Train station commuter parking
A number of key train stations have large commuter car parks, so consider parking at a station near you then catching one of the extra trains to Olympic Park.
Stations with large car parks on the western line where you can change for a frequent direct train to Olympic Park include:
- T1 Western Line: Seven Hills, Schofields, Blacktown, Rooty Hill, St Marys and Penrith.
Stations with large car parks on other train lines that require one interchange by train to get to Olympic Park include:
- T1 North Shore & T9 Northern Line: Gordon, Thornleigh and Concord West
- T2 Airport, Inner West & South Line: Padstow, Revesby, Fairfield, Warwick Farm, Glenfield, Holsworthy, Macarthur, Campbelltown and Leumeah.
- T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: Sutherland and Kogarah

Parking
