Important Travel Advice
Attendees are encouraged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time.
If you are attending a show on Sunday 3 May, please note that the Moore Park precinct will be very busy with more than 30,000 fans attending an AFL match at the SCG next door. Ticketholders to Sunday’s afternoon shows are urged to plan ahead and consider the public transport options available to avoid traffic delays and the high demand for parking.
Transport
- Public transport is the best way to get to the Hordern Pavilion with light rail services stopping at Moore Park directly across from the venue.
- Trains and metro services run regularly to the city where you can connect with frequent light rail services to Moore Park. Plenty of regular route buses also make stops along Anzac Parade and Oxford Street nearby.
- Remember, you'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport to and from the event. Register your details online at Opal or via the Opal Travel app ahead of time.
- Consider walking between Central and Moore Park via Devonshire Street and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway to avoid the queues for transport services before and after the match. See the Moore Park walking route map (pdf 677KB) to find your way.
Driving
- If you’re driving, carpool with your group and expect delays on roads approaching the precinct You can find real-time traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.
- Parking is available at The Entertainment Quarter multi storey car park, 24 hours a day. Entry is via entry Errol Flynn Boulevard off Lang Road and a fee applies.
- On Sunday 3 May, parking in Moore Park will be at or near capacity prior to afternoon The Wiggles shows due to 30,000 footy fans attending the AFL at the SCG from 1.15pm.
- If you must drive, you will need to arrive early to secure parking or have a back-up plan in case car parks are full when you arrive. Consider parking at a nearby car park and continuing your trip to Moore Park by public transport.
- Please note on Sunday 3 May, major roads in the Sydney CBD will also be closed between 4am and 12.30pm for the annual Runaway Sydney Half Marathon. Fans travelling to the game from the north should expect delays southbound approaching the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Tunnel while the Cahill Expressway is closed. Opal
You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.
Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.
More ways to pay
If you have a contactless-enabled American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card, or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Available on all public transport, contactless payments are another way to pay on the Opal network. Adult Opal fare pricing applies and you will receive Opal benefits, including daily and weekly fare caps.
Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city.
The M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham from early morning until late.
M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line planned trackwork – Sunday 3 to Wednesday 6 May
- On Sunday from 9.50pm, metro services do not run between Central and Sydenham. Services run between Tallawong and Martin Place, and between Martin Place and Central only.
- Change at Martin Place for metro services towards Tallawong or Central, or T4 trains to Sydenham.
- For travel to and from Waterloo use local buses or trains from Redfern.
- The last metro service leaves Sydenham at 21:44, Martin Place at 21:53, arriving Tallawong at 22:42.
- The last metro service to Sydenham leaves Tallawong at 21:00, Martin Place at 21:48, arriving Sydenham at 21:58.
Change at Central to connect with light rail services towards Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street.

From Bondi Junction, catch one of the many regular route buses from the Interchange to Oxford Street to get within walking distance of the stadium.
Trackwork
Planned trackwork is taking place on Saturday 2 & Sunday 3 May on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.
- M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line: On Sunday from 9.50pm, metro services do not run between Central and Sydenham. Services run between Tallawong and Martin Place, and between Martin Place and Central only. Change at Martin Place for metro services towards Tallawong or Central, or T4 trains to Sydenham. For travel to and from Waterloo use local buses or trains from Redfern. The last metro service leaves Sydenham at 21:44, Martin Place at 21:53, arriving Tallawong at 22:42. - T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: Buses replace trains between Macarthur, Glenfield and Fairfield. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between: Leppington and the City via the Airport, Fairfield and Richmond – change at Parramatta for trains towards the City via Granville and Homebush or Ashfield and the City.
- T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: Buses replace trains between Liverpool and Lidcombe. Trains run between Lidcombe and the City, to a changed timetable and frequency. Inner West trains run between Homebush or Ashfield and the City. You may need to change trains to continue your journey.
- T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: On Saturday from 3am to 11.30am, buses replace trains between Waterfall and Sutherland. Trains run to a changed timetable between Cronulla, Sutherland and Bondi Junction.
- T5 Cumberland Line: Buses replace trains between Glenfield and Fairfield. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Glenfield, and between Fairfield and Schofields or Richmond.
- T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line: Buses replace trains between Bankstown and Lidcombe. Buses also replace T3 trains between Liverpool and Lidcombe. Change at: Lidcombe for T1 trains towards City or Parramatta, Regents Park for T3 buses towards Liverpool or Bankstown for Southwest Link bus services towards Sydenham.
- T8 Airport & South Line: Buses replace trains between Macarthur, Glenfield and Fairfield. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington or Revesby and the City via the Airport. T8 trains continue to run between Sydenham and the City Circle, some to a changed timetable.
- Blue Mountains Line: Trains run between Blue Mountains Line stations and Blacktown only. Use T1 Western Line trains between Blacktown and the City. Trains from Blacktown to Blue Mountain Line stations run 30 minutes later than the normal timetable.
- Central Coast & Newcastle Line: Most trains run between Central Coast & Newcastle Line stations and Strathfield only. Change at Epping for metro services to the City or change trains at Strathfield to continue your journey.
- South Coast Line: On Saturday from 3am to 11.30am, buses replace trains between Dapto, Port Kembla and Sutherland. Trains run to a changed timetable between Bomaderry, Kiama and Dapto, and T4 Illawarra trains run between Sutherland and Bondi Junction. On Sunday from 2.30am to 12pm, buses replace trains between Bomaderry, Port Kembla and Wollongong. Trains run between Wollongong and Bondi Junction, some to a changed timetable. The 02:39 Kiama to Bondi Junction service will run up to 20 minutes earlier than the normal timetable from Kiama to Coniston, then run to the normal timetable from Wollongong to Bondi Junction.
- Southern Highlands Line: Buses replace trains between Goulburn, Moss Vale and Glenfield. You may need to change buses to continue your journey. T8 Airport & South Line trains run between Glenfield and the City via the Airport, to a changed timetable.

A number of regular Sydney Buses service stops along Anzac Parade near the precinct, including routes 339, 373, 374 and 396. From Bondi Junction Interchange, catch routes 333, 352 or 440 to Oxford Street or catch route 355 buses to Lang Road to get within short walking distance of the stadium.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line

From Central, change for a light rail service on the L2 or L3 Line to Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street.
L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines
L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Catch L2 or L3 light rail services to Moore Park. The Moore Park stop is located along Anzac Parade across from Hordern Pavillion
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with a train service to Central from Parramatta Station. From Central, catch a L2 or L3 Line service to Moore Park.
Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.

Changed traffic conditions – Sunday 3 May
- Driver Avenue will be partially closed outside the stadium from 11.15am and will reopen once crowds have safely cleared the area at 7.30pm
- No through-traffic will be available on Driver Avenue, however access to EP2 Kippax car park will be maintained via Moore Park Road and access to EP3 grass car park and drop-off areas will be maintained from Lang Road. Grass car parks open from 12.15pm

Moore Park Car Parks

Special Event Clearways - Sunday 3 May
Special event clearways will be in place on roads in Moore Park and surrounding areas from 11am to 8pm on sections of Albion Street, Fitzroy Street, Lang Road and Moore Park Road, and from 6am to 8pm on sections of Cleveland Street.
From 6am to 8pm
- Cleveland Street between South Dowling Street and City Road (southern side)
- Cleveland Street between Abercrombie Street and South Dowling Street (northern side)
From 11am to 8pm
- Albion Street between Bourke Street and Flinders Street (both sides)
- Fitzroy Street between South Dowling Street and Bourke Street (northern side)
- Lang Road between Anzac Parade and Errol Flynn Boulevard (northern side)
- Moore Park Road between Flinders Street and Greens Road (northern side)
Clearways are strict no-parking zones for all vehicle types and apply even to local residents and TfNSW Mobility Scheme Permit holders. Check signs carefully as vehicles left in clearways will be towed and a fee applies. If your vehicle is towed, you can search your vehicle registration at the Find My Car website to find its new location or alternatively call 132 701 to speak to an operator.
