Match ticket entitlements

Valid pre-purchased tickets to 2026 Sydney Swans season home games at the Sydney Cricket Ground include travel to and from Moore Park on the following transport services, just show your event ticket or members card to transport staff when boarding:

• Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations)
• Sydney Metro services
• Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan bus services
• Sydney, Parramatta and Newcastle Light Rail services
• Sydney and Newcastle Ferries

Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card or contactless payment method, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your match ticket is valid on the modes of public transport listed above until 4am the following day.

Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.

Transport Park&Ride Car Parks 

Park for free when you catch public transport. Transport Park&Ride provides up to 18 hours of free parking each day. All you have to do is complete a public transport trip. Located close to public transport hubs, Park&Ride car parks help you connect more easily to train, bus and ferry services. 

Tickets to 2026 Sydney Swans season home games at the Sydney Cricket Ground include travel on transport and free Park&Ride parking. When leaving the car park use the intercom button at the exit gate to speak with the operator and show your event ticket. 

If you use a Transport Connect account to access Park&Ride, the boom gate will automatically open as you leave the car park so you’ll need to request a refund in your account.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city. 

The M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham from early morning until late.

Change at Central to connect with light rail services towards Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street. 

M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line planned morning trackwork – Saturday 8 August 

• From 4am to 9am, metro services do not run between Tallawong and Sydenham.
• Buses replace services between Tallawong and Chatswood only
• Use trains between Epping or Chatswood, the City and Sydenham.

The closest stations to the SCG are Central and Bondi Junction.

From Central, catch a light rail service to Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street. Alternatively, consider walking between Central and Moore Park via Devonshire St/Foveaux St and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway. See the Moore Park transport and walking route map (pdf 677KB) to find your way.

From Bondi Junction, catch one of the many regular route buses from the Interchange to Oxford Street to get within walking distance of the stadium.

Trackwork 

Planned trackwork is taking place on Saturday 8 August on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.  

• M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line: From 4am to 9am, metro services do not run between Tallawong and Sydenham. Buses replace services between Tallawong and Chatswood only Use trains between Epping or Chatswood, the City and Sydenham. For travel to and from Waterloo use local buses or trains from Redfern
• T1 Western Line: Richmond trains run between Richmond and Liverpool only. Change trains at Parramatta to continue your journey. From 9pm to 3am, buses replace trains between Parramatta and Strathfield. Trains run to a changed timetable between: Penrith and Leppington, and between Strathfield and the City. For travel to T1 Western Line stations after the event, change at: Strathfield for buses towards Parramatta, or catch a T8 Airport & South Line train from the City to Glenfield via the Airport, then change at Glenfield for a train
• T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and the City via Granville or Regents Park. From 9pm to 3am, buses replace trains between Parramatta and Strathfield. Trains run to a changed timetable between: Leppington and Penrith, between Leppington and Lidcombe via Regents Park, and between Homebush or Ashfield and the City. For travel to T2 Leppington Line stations after the event, catch at T8 train from the City to Glenfield via the Airport, then change for a train or catch a train to Strathfield and change for buses towards Lidcombe or Parramatta.
• T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and the City. From 9pm to 3am, buses replace trains between Parramatta, Lidcombe and Strathfield. Trains run to a changed timetable between: Leppington and Lidcombe, or between Homebush or Ashfield and the City. For travel to T3 Liverpool Line stations after the event, change at: Lidcombe for trains towards Liverpool via Regents Park or buses towards Strathfield
• T5 Cumberland Line: Trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond or Schofields and Liverpool
• T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line: From 8.50pm to 2am, trains run to a changed timetable and reduced frequency, every 30 minutes.
• T7 Olympic Park Line: Buses replace trains between Olympic Park and Lidcombe. From 9pm to 3am, buses also replace trains between Parramatta, Lidcombe and Strathfield.
• Blue Mountains Line: From 9pm to 3am, trains run between Blue Mountains Line stations and Blacktown only. Buses replace trains between Parramatta and Strathfield. T1 Western Line trains run between Blacktown and Parramatta, and between Strathfield and the City. Trains from Blacktown to Blue Mountains Line stations run 30 minutes later than the normal timetable.

A number of regular route bus services stops along Anzac Parade near the precinct, including routes 339, 373, 374 and 396. From Bondi Junction Interchange, catch routes 333, 352 or 440 to Oxford Street or catch route 355 buses to Lang Road to get within short walking distance of the stadium.   

After the match, express shuttle buses will also run from Moore Park to Central to provide additional transport capacity for fans. 

Keep in mind that buses and light rail services will be busy. Consider walking between Central and Moore Park via Devonshire Street and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway to minimise wait times for transport services. See the Moore Park walking route map (pdf 677KB) to find your way.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line

L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner. 

From Central, change for a light rail service on the L2 or L3 Line to Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street.   

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines

L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner. 

Catch L2 or L3 light rail services to Moore Park. The Moore Park stop is located along Anzac Parade just south of the Sydney Cricket Ground. 

Additional light rail services will run before and after the game. Queues are expected, so be patient and allow plenty of extra time, particularly when leaving the stadium. L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with a train service to Central from Parramatta Station. From Central, catch a L2 or L3 Line service to Moore Park. The Moore Park stop is located along Anzac Parade just south of the Sydney Cricket Ground. 

Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.

Moore Park will be very busy on Saturday with thousands of people attending events during the day and evening including the City2Surf expo and an NRL match at Allianz Stadium. AFL fans are urged to catch public transport to avoid significant traffic delays expected in the afternoon. Tickets include travel on public transport so leave the car at home. 

If you must drive expect long delays and carpool with your group. 

Changed traffic conditions   

• Driver Avenue will be partially closed outside the stadium from 12.15pm and will reopen once crowds have safely cleared the area.
• No through-traffic will be available on Driver Avenue, however access to EP2 Kippax car park will be maintained via Moore Park Road and access to EP3 grass car park and drop-off areas maintained from Lang Road. Car Parks open from 1.15pm

The closest taxi rank is located on Errol Flynn Boulevard (near the Hordern Pavilion).  

If you’re using rideshare to get to the game, use Errol Flynn Boulevard or Driver Avenue for drop off locations.   

Drop-off and pick-up zones:  

• Drop-off: Errol Flynn Boulevard, Driver Avenue or Moore Park Road at Oatley Road opposite the Stadium.  
• Pick-up: Errol Flynn Boulevard or Moore Park Road at Oatley Road opposite the Stadium.
• To avoid traffic delays, consider parking or get dropped off further away and walking to the Stadium.

Moore Park Car Parks

Parking will be in high demand and will fill quickly. Carpool with your group and aim to arrive early to secure a parking space. 

• Entertainment Quarter Wilson car park: Open 24 hours. Flat rate event parking fees apply. Entry via Errol Flynn Boulevard from Lang Road.
• Kippax Park (EP2) grass car park (limited capacity due to upgrade works): Open from 1.15pm. Entry via the northern end of Driver Ave from Moore Park Road.
• Showground Field (EP3) grass car park: Open from 1.15pm. Cashless, flat rate event parking fees apply. Entry on Driver Avenue via Lang Road.
• Sydney Boys High School and Sydney Girls High School: Car Park open from around 1.15pm. Cashless, flat rate event parking fees apply. Entry via Cleveland Street. Use the Anzac Parade pedestrian bridge to get to and from the SCG.

Special Event Clearways

Special event clearways will be in place on roads in Moore Park and surrounding areas from 1pm to 11pm on sections of Albion Street, Fitzroy Street, Lang Road and Moore Park Road, and from 6am to 11pm on Cleveland Street.   

From 6am to 11pm

• Cleveland Street between South Dowling Street and City Road (southern side)
• Cleveland Street between Abercrombie Street and South Dowling Street (northern side) 

From 1pm to 11pm

• Albion Street between Bourke Street and Flinders Street (both sides)
• Fitzroy Street between South Dowling Street and Bourke Street (northern side)
• Lang Road between Anzac Parade and Errol Flynn Boulevard (northern side)
• Moore Park Road between Flinders Street and Greens Road (northern side)
• Moore Park Road from 80m west of Oatley Road to 75m east of Oatley Road (northern side) 

Clearways are strict no-parking zones for all vehicle types and apply even to local residents and Mobility Scheme Permit holders. Check signs carefully as vehicles left in clearways will be towed and a fee applies. If your vehicle is towed, you can search your vehicle registration at the Find My Car website to find its new location, or alternatively call 132 701 to speak to an operator.
