Major disruptions on L1 and L2/L3 light rail lines due to industrial action
From Monday 22 to Friday 26 July, daily from 7.30am to 10.30am, and from 3.30pm to 6.30pm, L1 Dulwich Hill Line, L2 Randwick Line and L3 Kingsford Line light rail services will be impacted due to industrial action.
Buses will replace light rail services during this time.
L1 Dulwich Hill Line
From 7.30am to 10.30am, and from 3.30pm to 6.30pm, L1 light rail services will not run between Lilyfield and Dulwich Hill.
During this time:
- L1 light rail services will continue to run between Central Grand Concourse and Lilyfield at a reduced frequency of every 10 to 15 minutes.
- Use alternative transport between Lilyfield and Dulwich Hill, including replacement bus services, train services, regular bus services, or walking if able to.
- L1 replacement bus services will run between Lilyfield and Dulwich Hill every 10 to 15 minutes; these times may vary depending on road traffic. Most replacement buses will be accessible; if not, wait for the next service.
L2 Randwick Line
From 7.30am to 10.30am, and from 3.30pm to 6.30pm, L2 light rail services will not run between Circular Quay and Central Chalmers Street.
During this time:
- L2 light rail services will continue to run between Central Chalmers Street and Randwick at a reduced frequency of every 10 to 15 minutes.
Extra bus services will run every 10 to 15 minutes to supplement light rail services; these times may vary depending on road traffic. Most supplementing buses will be accessible; if not, wait for the next service. - Use alternative transport, including train services, regular bus services or walking if able to, between Circular Quay and Central Chalmers Street.
L3 Kingsford Line
From 7.30am to 10.30am, and from 3.30pm to 6.30pm, L3 light rail services will not run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford.
During this time:
- Use replacement bus services or regular bus services between Central Chalmers Street and Juniors Kingsford.
- L3 replacement bus services will run every 10 to 15 minutes; these times may vary depending on road traffic. Most replacement buses will be accessible; if not, wait for the next service.
- Use train services, regular bus services or walking if able to, between Circular Quay and Central Chalmers Street.
Outside of these timings, L1, L2 and L3 light rail services will continue running; some services may run with delays:
- Monday 22, Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 July: daily from 5am to 7.30am, from 10.30am to 3.30pm and from 6.30pm to 1am for L1 services, or 9pm for L2/L3 services due to pre-planned maintenance works. See the Trackwork News Story for more detailed service information.
- Thursday 25 and Friday 26 July : daily from 5am to 7.30am, from 10.30am to 3.30pm and from 6.30pm to 1am.
If travelling to school during any service disruptions, please speak to a staff member if present at your stop.
Full L1, L2 and L3 light rail services will resume as per normal schedule from 5am Saturday 27 July.
